Thank you for the video this reminded me of my sons Anthony and Mitchell when they got their first dirt bikes what a good feeling watching this all over again thank you
@@StrikeMike2k thats awesome! my son started on this bike, hes now 13 and rides my old rm85. this bike still runs for us as well! my 5 year old now rides it lol
Joey has not outgrown the bike yet. He's now 8 years old and still rides it. We're looking to upgrade him to a Honda CRF110 but they're hard to come by; waiting for the dealer to get one in. Only issue I've had with the bike was the float got stuck in the carb bowl and would leak gas out of the overflow. I've taken it apart and cleaned it out and it's all good now.
@@suorange1178 it would be difficult to find one for under $500 but you may be able to find a used one locally. A good size for a 12 year old to start out would typically be a four stroke 125cc, but it really depends on the rider. A 125cc would usually have a full clutch with manually shifting gears.
I just got my one for my son for Christmas I ordered the demon but after my order was placed the emailed me with this thunder I was kinda disappointed noticing a different motor but said what the hack now after the first ride I was extremely disappointed with its performance it’s slow Boggs and the crabs are awful it makes me sad for my son I should have cancelled and went with a syx or spent the money on a pw50 so then I could actually get some help with the thing when I need it or parts or whatever
Always teach a kid to mount a dirt bike or street bike from the left. 90% of bikes have the hot pipe on the right. Take it from a kid with a scar on his Right leg 🙂
@Heheeegurl. Also it's a two stroke , so they like little puts to stay warm , also I bought one an now mine doues about 30 ... So it l depends on who ya ask ig
@Heheeegurl. An if ur Wondering why it shuts off when it's warm ... It's because those bikes rlly like high rpm an when u give it full throttle youl hit like 17, 20 mph on a stock one an it'll choke it self out trying to get more out of it , that's what happend to mine at least , then I broke the child safety off an re tuned it...
He did great! I love that it doesn't pop wheelies so a beginner can learn to ride safely. Thank you for sharing...did this come from Big Toys Green Country?
He sure is learning, he's getting better on it every time he rides it. It is a great starter bike to see if he likes it. Once he outgrows it, I'll get him sometime a bit larger and more reliable. The bike has been great, I haven't had any issues with it, you just have to know how to take care of a small two-stroke. We got it right from Amazon.
OUR DAD NEVER BOUGHT US ""SHIT"" HE WAS A HEARTLESS COWERD, BASTERD, AND HE KICKED US OUT THE SECOND WE TURNED 18 . And he said don't ever come back or I'll call the police

Its been 3 years. Did Joey stick to dirt bikes? If so, whats he riding now?
Yes he did. He upgraded to a Honda CRF110F this year. We passed along the Mototec, it's still running!

I am here commenting 2 years after this video was uploaded. Has Joey outgrown this bike, or can he still ride it?

@StrikeMike2k Thank you very much. My son will be 6 in August, and he's 48" tall. I may pull the trigger on this one.
@@StrikeMike2kwhat would be a good one for a 12 year old
And under like 500$

So how has the bike held up? Would you recommend buying one to a friend? Is it as safe as a Honda?
@Heheeegurl. The reason is when it " shuts off by it self is cause u let it warm up for too long

That's sad and unfortunate. Hopefully you can turn that around and give to others and treat them with respect. Cheers.
