So weird how despite the opposite aesthetics, this channel still gives me all the same cozy, informative, creative feelings as the Crafsman. Never stop dude. You're the reason I got back into the hobby and what inspired me to start kitbashing/bootlegging/modelling! 💜
If you can make one successful Witch Hut, that means you can make more! A WHOLE Village of Witches, Witch Huts on Legs, on Tank treads, on roots, carried by monsters! So happy to see it working out so well for you. You really deserved that BIG W
I am so entranced by your work! Trent would you ever be up for doing a video on how you capture audio, and sort of a peek behind the scenes of your /other/ creation process?
"No! I'm gonna... I'm... I'm gonna follow through!" is such a good attitude. Way to go, mate. Bonus, it turned out great. As a friend says, "That! ... is bucking frilliant"
I have a dragon, that I've dropped on the floor about 4 times now. I think I'm gonna sculpt him some new wings. Your enthusiasm is infectious, thank you Trent.
I never thought an episode of Miscast would give me such anxiety, but seeing you peel the silicone off was super nerve-wreaking! You have grown so much since you built that little hut. Truly, it's amazing.
Accomplishing things can get you really high. When I renovated the house of my deceased mother in law (we can live there now, and I am really bad at this kind of work), and it turned ok, for a week I felt like I was drunk. Everything was cool, and everyone seemed nice and I had not a problem in the world. So I get that feeling, brother. Finish your old projects, and ride that wave, baby!
Real old lore. I vividly remember that video. Also the topper house reminds me of Hagglethorn Hallows style. For the future with brush on, Crafsman had a video where they rig up a slow rotisserie to keep the silicate at an even layer. Few things more satisfying than revisiting an old project with new skills and being able to realize it fully.
Great video! Love the “old school technology technique!” Too many creators run to the 3d printer or buy someone else’s work- there is a level of creativity, ingenuity, and pride from making things the older ways! Technology isn’t always better.
Heck yes, that turned out looking so cool!!! The details look really nice, and I like the as-cast resin colors! Good results are worth waiting for, it sure looks like!!! 🥰
I find it interesting and terrifing that i have been watching you long enough to witness thw creation of that hut, its remake, deconstruction and casting. Time goes by horidly fast…
I’ve got some spare negative degrees celcius here if you want’em to lower the temperature - currently we’re at -4 and my workshop is hovering around 12 degrees celcius every morning … and a merry christmas to ya from Norway :)
I've found your channel quite recently and have found it extremely entertaining and addictive but the only question I genuinely have is, how do uou have so many bits and minis for kit bashing? Ive genuiebly been inspired to do the same and try new things from your works but genuinely just dont have the same quantity of bits or even toys to make anything useful for me or my dnd campaign. Also, it's been an absolute god send to have finally found a rad and australian youtuber that vlogs/diaries his work for tabletop/art things. Thanks for all your work. I've been going through it all the videos from the very start.
Witch's Hut: "Father, have you returned to give me the immortality you promised? And after we'd both given up hope?" Trent: "Yes, my child. It's time. Time for the silicone."
i really should do something like this video with some of my broken models, sadly including the pink model you gave me at pax, it fell off my table and it's broke part way up it's legs. so i might have to turn it into a battlefield ruined terrain
I dont actually know! This is my first time with this sort of mold. Maybe there will be a cast or two in the future, but first I need to make enough for my table!
tomorrow?
PLEASE
yessir
merry christmas
merry christmas and sure go for it.
Trend is feeding us too well with this content
The look of pride and satisfaction at finally doing this
i'm so stoked
i wanted to write exactly this. it made me smile so much that my wife asked why i look so dumb😂
That happy giggle in the chair in the end was everything! Wtg on that final result!
haha cheers!

that is incredibly kind. Crafsman is a treasure. Thankyou!!

Seconded.
Thank the gods for Trent's awful sleeping schedule which allows him to upload so many videos!
hahahaha, honestly just an understanding girlfriend
@@Miscast Helps too I guess!
@@Miscast "babe, I don't care if it is 5AM, you can't come to bed until you've uploaded a video"
@@Miscastevery time she’s in a video, it’s clear how understanding and supportive of your craft she is.

The satisfaction of finally doing / finishing an old idea you had. Ughhh so good.
A great diorama idea would be to have a bunch of cultists peeling the mold off of a new hut like it's shedding it's skin
Im proud of you dude.
That looks sick and I am so glad you achieved a goal.
Keep it up my man

love it!! thankyou!
The amount of dopamine one gets from doing something thats been laying around forever waiting is insane. Nice
3 videos in a short time ....oh yes 🌟

I love that you managed to include the captured moments of joy from seeing the process work!

You inspire me so much! I need to be more productive, the amout of videos you put out is amazing!
thankyou!! I'm so glad to hear
I remember when you sculpted this, so cool seeing it finally cast!
Thanks for sticking around so long!!
This video made me smile so much, I'm so happy it worked out for you:) i hope you make lots of copies of this one
Dude, the fact you finally got it completed is just awesome.
Heck yeah! Congrats in finishing it all these years later!! Thats very cool and must be very rewarding
Please I need this hut for old world so much. It looks gorgeous!
Also love the music for the reveal. Top shelf video today. 🥰
If you want to learn about molding, The Crafsman is your go-to guy. And his videos are also super relaxing.
And beautiful job, BTW.
This was so satisfying to watch.
Loved feeling like I was in the studio with you.
It must feel so good to finally accomplish your goals. Nice work!
Absolutely crushing it mate, thank you for continuing to put these out there into the world!
Respect for completing your goals!
Make sure you use non-sulphrated plasticine, as sulphur stops silicone from gelling and setting. Silicone in contact with sulphur remains liquid.
that final shot was so beautiful 💕
You look so happy in that end shot!! Such an inspiration :D
I do love your storytelling and your videos. Genuinely inspiring.
Such a beautiful sculpt. Awesome to see it cast!
Badass video man. I have never seen brush on silicon! that looks awesome dude
You really are spoiling us this Christmas Trent!
2:14 You started hammering into after saying that and I cheered lol!!!!
I also cheered at the end
So sick. And I love your look of pure joy once you realize it worked.
Takk!
Thankyou!!!!
Well done! Proud of you for reaching for your dream
All the steps are successes, but that last one is the best one.
This is so cool to see finally come to fruition. Congratulations 🎉
An utter triumph!! Great work. Great idea :)
Love watching all of your videos! The evolution and energy you have is as I keep saying inspiring
Hi Trent, great video, and good job.
Thankyou very much mate!
The fact that you are posting these videos in near real time is awesome. Great content!
Thankyou!!
This so makes me wanna get some silicone and start doing modeling stuff! Truly awesome.
❤️🔥very satisfying watch. Congrats on reaching your goal!
That came out looking pretty dope!
Holy cow! That's an amazing result!
Also thanks for showing us how to do a jacket mould. I have been meaning to try it for ages haha
ah good old modrock, i remember learning of the stuff back in highschool when i started and never completed a model railway project for art class.
You are on fire. Excellent. Cheers!
I find it interesting and terrifing that i have been watching you long enough to witness thw creation of that hut, its remake, deconstruction and casting.
Time goes by horidly fast…
your videos are a real christmas present!
Awesome, Trent!!!
The joy on your face
this is one of your best videos idk why
Nice one, mate, good job...
love to see so much content so regularly
Nice job!

Witch's Hut: "Father, have you returned to give me the immortality you promised? And after we'd both given up hope?"
Trent: "Yes, my child. It's time. Time for the silicone."
DAMN THATS COOL!
That's very impressive.
thankyou mate!!
I wonder if a slush cast or similar method would work with that style of mold? It would certainly save on material with how chonky the house is
Yes! You need a different kind of resin to what I have available but certainly will be trying that next
By the gods i love that sweat shirt!
Awesome. Happy chap : )
10/10 this came out SICK, nailed the resurrection m8 🙌
thankyou!!!

I miss Danny, loved his channel. Hope he is doing well.
Cobwebs. In Australia. Those minis are staying where they are...
Otherwise, great video, excellent pay off!
Hell yeah brother
Brilliant!
Standing ovation
Kinda need that Millaput t-shirt.
late to the game, but you should be proud, trent, thats some excellent work. always feels mint to necro a project and crush it.
Looks great!!! Few questions, how many casts is that mold good for? Are we going to see casts on your merch store? Happy holidays!!
I dont actually know! This is my first time with this sort of mold. Maybe there will be a cast or two in the future, but first I need to make enough for my table!
Man…it‘s festive time. Hope ou find some time to relax :-)
Is it weird to say this was a very satisfying video to watch?
i'm very glad, cause it was satisfying to make haha
well done
“It’s gonna be a long night” could be the channels moto.
That's so cool
This makes me happy. :D
Succes!
Quick question, what mold release did you use as that silicone peeled away like butter
Great 👍👍
Lovely
Superb! 🤩 Narrative Model Making for your Narrative Wargaming 😆
Squeak-squeak! 🤩🐀🌠
Couldn't you have put a removable void in the middle to cut down on weight and resin use?
Yes new Video 🎉
And Merry Christmas 🎄
Aanother W❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
You boy, what day is it!
..?!why ..it's Christmas day sir!
