i have to find out how can you live recording this loops?
Well, I start by writing the loop using the Juno's pattern looping mode. When I'm ready to perform it, I plug the Juno into my computer (both MIDI and audio) and then play it all live. I use FL Studio to record both MIDI and audio data at the same time. Once the recording is done, I use the recorded MIDI to re-record audio for each part separately. Then, using the live audio recording as a reference, I copy and paste the individual parts to match what I played live. Next, I mix the entire song, and even tweak some parts that I'd like to change, which requires recording yet another audio clip of the part from changed MIDI info. Although I can and have performed these live jams on stage, these RUclips versions are only semi-live. I do this so I can actually mix the song properly in a DAW and perfect any little mistakes for a better recording. However, in this first jam, I pre-mixed the parts in the Juno, so this video is 100% live! Only a bit of mastering was done in post.

@@DallinJeppsonMusic damn bro that seems to much complicated… i noticed you can switch the loops live so maybe with using proper mute buttons you can switch from one pre recorded pattern to other one without using this magic you just desribed? 😂
It's a good thought, though I haven't really tried it out yet. The only reason I re-record is for mixing purposes. Technically, everything can be done 100% live from the keyboard, which I've definitely done before.

The DS has complete synthesizer parameters with all the waveforms of their past synthesizers and popular classic synthesizers from other companies. There is a parameter guide for download from Rolands website to help you learn how to make your own sounds. Thanks for such a great comment! Yes, most of this is improvised, though I did plan out some of it beforehand. Perhaps try playing different parts of the chord with each layer. @@JoseGarcia-yk3dl I believe the Juno's outputs are unbalanced, which means using TS cables (NOT TRS) is best. Haha good catch! I must not have moved the sliders, so no sound was actually routed through them. The sliders only link to parts after they're touched.
@@DallinJeppsonMusic True! I just realized that a few days ago.
@@DallinJeppsonMusic This is, by far, one of the best videos about Juno DS out there, and one of the reasons I decided to go for it...Sadly, I am still struggling a lot to get the grip on the sequencer... for some reason I seem to always get in late on the loop :D :D Surely is just a matter of practice, practice and then practice some more :)
@@victorespina Thank you! That's so awesome to hear. I agree that the looper takes some practice and experimentation to get used to. Try changing the count in duration to 1 measure, 2 measures, or even "wait note" and see if that helps. Good luck!
Awesome track! 😊 Subbed! I might actually pick up a second hand Roland Juno DS 61 today for $309. Is that a good deal?
Thank you so much!
Con que amplificador lo usas?
Roland KC-220
great! I have a problem with this keyboard. the sound in the headphones is good, but connected to speakers it sounds without bass.
Any ideas.
Thanks
Are you plugging into the speakers using the Left and Right 1/4" outputs of the keyboard?
@@DallinJeppsonMusic yes, and monitor speakers
@@JoseGarcia-yk3dl I believe the Juno's outputs are unbalanced, which means using TS cables (NOT TRS) is best. Bass CAN disappear when an incorrect audio connector is used, but is often because the connector is not inserted fully into the jack. Try cleaning out the jacks on the Juno and the speakers and using a different cable I you have one. Hopefully this works 👍
@@DallinJeppsonMusic thanks. Anothers keyboards, sounds great and the same configuración.....
@@DallinJeppsonMusic i use TS cables
Can you connect microphone and loop vocals also?
You can connect a microphone, but I don't know if you can loop vocals. I'll do a bit of research and get back to you.
I don't believe you can loop external sounds, the reason being is it is a MIDI sequencer, not an audio sequencer. I would recommend using an external looper if you want external sounds and more control over all.

@@ME98878 My pleasure!
hey what effects did you use??
This was a long time ago haha. I think I just used some reverb and delay onboard the Juno DS
@@DallinJeppsonMusic thanks! I had no idea there was delay on the juno ds
Of course! Yeah, there are a few types of delay, reverb, chorus, and other effects that can be assigned to any sound.
Jam nice like strawberry
Guaw nice my is come soon i like for my church
did you transfer the sounds of Juno DS Looper to a DAW?
I recorded the live performance into FL Studio through the stereo 1/4" outputs. I mixed the song with the Juno's internal mixer before I recorded.
How many tracks can you loop at once?
The Juno lets me loop up to 8 tracks at once. However, I can do more if I loop with a DAW instead.
@@DallinJeppsonMusic . I thought if you put three patterns or more in a row you could seamlessly switch between them to crate a song. Beginning middle and end? I noticed it has patch remain.
@@floridahiker1503 Whoah! I think you just blew my mind 🤯 I've got to try this three pattern thing now!
Is it produce dawless?
@@AB-pz4mq It was mixed on the Juno DS, and recorded into and mastered in FL Studio. 😊
@@DallinJeppsonMusic is it also possibile to REC dawless Like directly on USB ?
@@AB-pz4mq the Roland Juno DS can send audio over USB to a computer. It is stereo out at 44.1 kHz 16 bit. It cannot record onto a USB flash drive.
👌💐
Thanks!
the only downside of this awesome synth are the cheap sounding drum sounds and no full 16 or at least 8 track step sequencer
Course tune a drum up whole bunch to get reverse drums😂
I watched it over and over and still don’t understand how you make it to change the sound every time dude… you don’t seem to press any button except record button… how the hell do you do that?????
If you look carefully, you'll see that I press the phrase pads quickly to change sounds
Looks simple enough to operate but with respect, the music in the video is nothing new. I'd like to see how more innovative compositions are created with it. Like crunchier drums, FX etc.
You can definitely get way into the details of every patch. Lots of potential.
And what button do you push? What’s the purpose of this post? I guess a demo. No instruction!
What patch in that bass?
