If you guys make hertz accounts online you can skip the counter in airports and then u don't have to speak to anyone you just walk into the car and the keys are already in the car other major companies also have that saves me loads of time on lomg lines

Many companies offer skip-the-counter in various forms, but you usually won't be able to get the cheapest prices and use it.

Great tip for younger renters - just keep in mind that you'll probably have to book direct to get this, which could be more expensive.

Great video!! Yeah companies are getting smarter by requiring residency and passport to match country of booking, not fun when I find a cheap rental with India vpn for us rental but then the fine print says must be India resident. Now we gotta find something new to compensate!

Have you used a VPN to show that you are in a different location to save on car rentals?

Sometimes I do use VPN-based search strategies to find rental car deals, but this is very rarely useful and most of the best deals don’t need a VPN to be bookable. Have any success stories you’d like to share?
By the way, I’ve been considering uploading a video showing the best VPN strategies for finding travel deals, and would love to hear if folks are interested.

If you use vpn make sure if your using credit card insurance it will cover also once in a while they will see you booked from out of country and ask you for proof that you were there...

@@DavidGTravelsSo i am 20 and this is my first time reserving a rental ever and I am confused about the process for renting online. You basically pay now and then dont have to pay anything when you go to pick up the car? I know I will have to pay an extra fee because of my age and it says I have to do it when I pickup the car, but other then that there are no hidden fees and the milage will be unlimited?

@@FiveMissilesIdeally not, but this will all be written out in the terms and conditions of your rental.
