I can't help but cry for gugu every time no matter how much I watch this episode (4th time from reactions). This goes to show that the characters were very well-written.
His story is heartbreaking I was almost in tears too. Yeah I mean I already knew from episode 1 when I cried at the boy's death that to your eternity has some insanely well written characters
A wholesome episode all around! Gugu is delightful and I'll admit he's even more charming put into motion. The kid's got a lot of charisma. His antics along with Fushi's blooming personality (I compare it to a toddler) made this absolutely hilarious in an effortless way. This series is proving the genius of quick and effective character establishment. We cry for the boy in 1 episode, bawl for March 4 episodes later, and it only takes 12 minutes to reserve real estate in our hearts for Gugu. Got to commend the director vision and confidence here. I died at the end because I did not remember Fushi imitating the old man like that and it was both hilarious, cute, and unsettling.
Love the wholesomeness (especially since don't know how long it'll last). Yep Gugu made me instantly love him he's so precious and yes their dynamic is so funny! Oh yeah I knew from episode 1 with the boy that they were not kidding around with their character writing and way of inserting them into the story, so good! HAHA that was hilarious xD
Gugu is the favorite of all manga readers, sadly he's second best for me. He's the best brother. [Spoiler Warning] More wholesome life for Fushi and he grows. Please tune in until the end of Gugu Arc. Prepare for popcorn and tissue.
@@renganime2151 [Spoiler Warning only for manga readers] - - - - - - - sadly Kahaku is burdened by his bloodline. He's a wholesome person only if he didn't get obsess with best boi.
@@talkaboutrandon7870[SPOILER WARNING] - - - - - - - - - - - - he still loves fushi and sacrifices himself... That “I love you Fushi” broke my heart like-
Don't worry about it, things will get better for Gugu, he's a GOAT after all, the best big bro ever! I'm not gonna go into details and I'm not gonna spoil anything, just enjoy the wholesome moments, even if I don't say anything, you must be anticipating the next tragedy which unfortunately is inevitable in this series, like, you never know when shit hits the fan, I've read the manga at least 7 times, I bought the first volume when the manga was released, I was searching for a new manga to read and when I saw the name Yoshitoki Oima, I just knew that it's gonna be an absolute masterpiece! The first chapter made me cry a lot, this series successfully made me cry my soul out, my eyes were hurting as if I was crying blood, I felt depressed (in a good way), I-I just realized how out of touch I am with my emotions, this series just broke me and it's a one of a kind experience so far, the art, plot, characters, etc... are all just... breathtaking, a masterpiece! It's actually pretty interesting to see the slight differences between the two platforms, I want to point out the differences in the anime and the manga so far, for instance, remember when Parona fell into a storage room? Remember that bastard guard? Well, in the manga, Parona was out in the cold for a while because she had a rough landing, so this bastard dragged her into a more secluded place and when she woke up, her hands were tied up, the guard was looking at her, talking like a mad creep, then he violently ripped her clothes off and spread her legs and said "I could've sworn you were a virgin, would you mind removing the cloth?" that's when Parona kicked the guard, so hard that the bastard went flying across the room, thank goodness her feet wasn't tied up or else, anyway, so the guard stood up and pointed his weapon at her, the blade was really close too but then she immediately grabbed a pointy stick and killed the guard, I guess the anime doesn't want to be too violent, they've censored a lotta things too, like the fight with the *entity* in the forest, they don't know what to call those things yet but they're gonna come up with something soon. Also, when Fushi tried to escape prison back in Yanome, remember when Hayase shot Fushi with an arrow and, when the guards stabbed it with a naginata? In the manga, they explained why Fushi decided not to transform into the source of its external stimulus for the first time, meaning, if Fushi transformed into one of the naginatas or the arrow then there would be no need for it to go through all the pain but still, it chose not to do that, it could be the will of the Nameless Boy or Joaan that caused it to make that decision, abandoning its consciousness and coming back to depending on changes in its environment was out of the question, Fushi doesn't want to lose what he gained so keeping limbs and seeking change of its own accord was more logical and also, that scene with Rean coming to the shop, in the anime, it all happened in a day but in the manga, their conversation was longer and she came back to pay a visit the other day to see Fushi. Well, just wanted to let you know that. No major spoilers so don't worry.
I am definitely trying to make the most of the wholesome moments while they last because to your eternity has shown me so far that tragedy is only a few episodes away :( Wow it made you super emotional and I anticipate the anime will do the same to me, already cried twice and it's only episode 7 aha. I can agree with you so far, it's just a beautiful story and anime. Ooo those are some inserting differences, thanks for going to the trouble of writing all that out, was interesting to read, especially how Fushi consciously thought those things when he was breaking out of the prison though I think it's just harder to show since we don't get to hear what he's thinking yknow?
@@OtakuMai Yeah but The Beholder (Black Hood dude) was narrating Fushi's progress, I just wanna hear more of Kenjiro's voice lol. This year might actually be the best year for Anime, I feel like it's our reward for surviving Covid or something, last year was pretty weak, there were a few great anime here and there but that's it... But this year? It's crazyyy, a lot of my favourite manga are getting animated! We got the tearjerker ones which are, Vivy, Fruits Basket and To Your Eternity. Nice call :D 24:42 I already cracked laughing when I saw it, and now I cracked again with your reaction xD Despite his great personality, it got me really sad that his big brother abbandoned him. Anyways, I hope the girl finds out who he is and thank him for saving her.
Also, about the "change in his body" it got me wondering why his belly was sticking out if he was only hurt on the head. Maybe the change is inside it? idk
