    First watched this video when it came out, since then found Opmid Dr. Lamp module on internet. It adds running light function to front turn signals, cost about 60 bucks, got mine at steadygarage. Plug and play, wiring as good as factory

    Thank you for the informative video. We are expecting our CT125's in four weeks. We are in Socal (Riverside) as well.

    Man I wish you would have shown the harness wires you chose for connection. I'm struggling to see through your hands.

    What were the wire colors you posi tapped into? It got a little confusing listening to you in the video. Thanks

    Are those splice connectors or did you cut the wires coming out of the plug to make the connection??

      I used Posi-Taps and they worked with zero issues. I've used these on many similar projects on Moto's and have never had a failure. I've also soldered and shrink wrapped with marine grade adhesive tube's when a high moisture environment is present.

    Still waiting on mine, dealer said he does not have a date yet from Honda, soon I hope. Like the lights and where you added them. I am probably going with some amber driving lights since we see fog more then some places. Thanks for uploading, I liked and sub'd.

    Do you think some LED strips would work higher up on the mirror stalks?

  • @oyleyhands1332
    @oyleyhands1332 3 года назад +1

    That wee screw at the bottom you mentioned will most probably be a JIS head (Japanese Industrial Standard) its what they use,not quite a Philips,thats why they chew up sometimes.

    Do you know how to isolate the hi-beam wire? I'm trying to help Kisan Technology develop a headlight modulator for this bike (create movement so the cagers see you) but only the black wire (I think that's the LED ring) and the white/green stripe wire show hot with a test light. I can't find any connection that's hot when it's only on high beam.

      Has anything happened with this?

    • @spydie
      @spydie 3 года назад +1

      @@rev5229 Kisan was never able to find a plug that would plug into the wiring harness. Honda is using a real bastard deal for this bike. I sold the bike to a guy in Poland for $5000. Bought a 2021 Yamaha XT250 and 2021 Kawasaki W800. I've got Kisan modulators for both of them.

      @@rev5229 Thanks for your comments. I'm still waiting for the transport company to pick up the bike and ship it to Poland. It was fun for awhile but like a lot of other guys on the forums discovered, it is a limited-use bike. Not a good dirt bike (underpowered) and not a good highway bike (not fast enough). It's only purpose is around the city or fairly easy trails. In deep sand it can't spin the tire to keep moving, it just bogs down and the clutch slips (not enough power to engage the clutch) and the same problem on really hard trails (if the front tire gets up against a rock, the clutch just slips, can't spin the rear tire to break it loose). I miss the old 2-speed transfer case where I could reach down and shift in low range to get out of those tight spots and have enough power to break the rear wheel loose. If Honda ever puts in a bigger engine of at least 175cc or a hi/lo range again, I'll buy another one, but for now it just didn't suit me and I tired of it pretty quickly. I've got other friends that are selling theirs too for the same reason. It has a use and a place for a small number of people and I hope you really enjoy yours and get the full use out of it.
