I am in awe of the insane amount of time it took to pull this off, and the fact that all the hermits got together to do it is wonderful. It shows how good of friends the hermits are
The button ending killed me lol!! But truly, what a work of art. It's always amazing to see you hermits band together for things like this and the results are always impressive-- this is probably the ultimate megabuild of the season!!! (which is a strange thing to say about some grass and trees XD)
The question is, did the button actually die?
@@GEORGE15NGteam “Tune in next time on Mumbo Hermitcraft Z!”
“The ultimate megabuild”
Doc, who put in 99.99% of the work just to see people prank him for applying for a job at Scarland: Am I a joke to you?
Gemnuinely, group landscaping with Gem sounds like absolute heaven. She's a treasure. All of them are, but when she starts explaining landscaping, my brain forgets what anxiety and stress were again.
Stress was a hermit in previous Hermitcraft seasons, silly!
@@jtwattsmusic Who was she again? I watched Gem’s tree tutorial again. I forgot.
@@jtwattsmusicIs she not a hermit anymore? I could have sworn I saw her on season 9.
They are, but they’ve been on a huge hiatus that lasted the majority of the season.
@@nickybubb4151 oh ok, thank you
8:15 Just that little clip of iskall put a big smile on my face because I haven't see him in a long time.
Me as well.i just couldn't stop smiling 😃
@@loveisabella8894 His last video was 2 months ago and I would love to see him on agian. This gives me hope
Me too, glad to know he’s still hanging with the hermits
I've been waiting for this comment
the fact everyone got in the project to trigger Doc even more is such a fricking power move
The amount of teamwork and friendship the hermits have to accomplish this kindof task is ABSOLUTELY amazing!! Truly one of those moments to be remembered in Hermitcraft.
That ending! Brought life back to the perimeter, but lost the button. This prank really did cost everything!!
Three adults covering a 500 by 500 hole in the ground with dirt in minecraft, what am I watching 😂
Pure gold lol
Hermitcraft
"Adults" lol nah I love how silly hermitcraft allows ppl to be
10 adults*
It wasn't 3. That would've been honorful, and amazing. This way it's just a bunch of griefing cheats.
Interesting that even Iskall helped in the prank :D (8:11)
This is so cinematic and comedic and wholesome at the same time. This truly is something special.
We didn't realize it at the time but this project was the foundation of Season 10, and changed the way hermits played, it's become a turning point
Even though it's kinda silly how the museum used your video, I'm actually quite impressed that they bothered to reach out to each individual creator about using their work. Good for them, and grats on your first exhibit. Here's to many more 🍻
Well, they did also charge for every person whose work is exhibited in the museum, so them reaching out to hundreds of minecrafters to exhibit their video clips wasn't entirely out of the goodness of their hearts by the sound of it.
Its essential otherwise they could get sued
This is actually big it might be the first time they took permission before putting something in the museum
@@bekeba LMFAO this is funny, but it's mostly the British Museum which has a reputation for taking stuff. The V&A is more of a culture, art & trend/fashion history museum
just the "Did the button die?" at the end there after a brief moment of buttercup silence made me laugh. also hermits are all insane. 6 HOURS?! PLUS 3?! give or take?! well done
Nice to see Iskall return for this!
4:23 I love the few frames during the dirt collecting timelapse where your inventory is full of ender pearls and you can hear them screaming in the background.
This is going to be one of those few RUclips videos I regularly go back to watch because of how absolutely incredibly satisfying it is. This was a masterpiece but feel free to go back to classic simple shenanigans again, there's no need to try to top this. You guys are amazing.
The massive work on the perimeter reminds me a lot of how it is with invisible VFX cleanup; if you've done a good job, no one will know anything has been done at all. And WOW, this is some incredible work you all have done. Can't wait to see Doc react to this haha
8:10 Wow! An Iskall sighting! I thought he'd given up Hermitcraft for good.
The perimeter looks really cool as an underground dwelling. I kinda hope Doc keeps it as a subterranean “villain’s” lair.
Yeah, but it defeats the whole point of obliterating all land to remove spawnable blocks, so he's just gonna nuke it.
The button thing at the end killed me 😂 I was trying not to laugh and that part got me. Ugh this was so amazing definitely a fav episode for me can’t believe you guys got so many hermits to help and the land looks so natural. Can’t wait to see docs reaction 😂
this made me incredibly happy. ive been getting a little disinterested with hermitcraft as of late coz ive watched from seasons 6 onward especially during lockdown and it would always make my day. recently that magic had been draining and i came to the conclusion it was coz theres been less stupid having fun nothings with other hermits. to see most of u come together just to be stupid and have a bit of fun i truly believe is the true essence of hermitcraft. thanks mumbo, this made my hangover much better :)
I'm so glad Mumbo decided to talk about the process, rather than just skipping through a time lapse.
I really wish more creators would keep more of this creativity talk in their videos. It's really been a trend to replace all of it with timelapses and I feel like we miss out on hearing their actual thoughts theyre having while working on stuff. You really get a sense of what's in somebody's head while listening to them waffle on a bit. It's always insightful to me as a creator myself.
This entire video was extremely amusing but I belted out a deep belly laugh at the very end. What an absolute joy of a video! The Hermitcraft crew is just such a great group of amazing individuals who act as great role models and ambassadors for the game.
I could hear the dread in Mumbo's voice when Grian asked about the button.
FINALLY! MUMBO IS BACK! ALL HAIL THE MANLY MUSTACHE MAN!
Not reading your comment but I posted a Hilarious video of a woman crying about her dog being put down because I make better content 😂 😅
Hilarious!! you have a problem
@ChrisShafferOfficial
Edit: Anyone seeing this, don't like this dudes comment. It's a bot. Do not give it any more interaction then I already have. Dislike it and move on.
ok, first off, what the hell is funny about a women crying about her dog being put down, and second, how is that better content when you have 102 subscribers compared to Mumbos 5 million, and third, what the hell ask asked?
@@ChrisShafferOfficialhaha so funny!!!
now put yourself down.
@@charlesmorey4298 The account is a bot, don't even bother, they won't even see this comment and if they do by some weird chance, they're going to completely ignore it
3:08 the subtle Scar nod when it doesn't even matter.
It would be hilarious if Iskall's comeback would just be him, starting a new base on this "empty land" he just found
This episode was so nice. Ground to earth, wholesome, with a bunch of friends. It was amazing.
As someone who's been building on a 256 block radius circle for the last _several months_ (which may, or may not, be able to fit into Doc's Perimeter, depending on the dimensions), this prank is outstanding. I can't believe it only took like a week for you all to do all that terraforming. What a bunch of mad lads.
I think grian said the perimeter was 500x500
That would barely cover it
@@anabsolnamednyx899 Yeah, the perimeter is 500x500, but he said this circle had a 256 block RADIUS, meaning the diameter is 512 blocks, meaning it wouldn't actually fit inside the diameter.
This is actualy one of the most innocent but hilariously evil passive-aggressive prank I've ever witnessed. And I'm glad to have watched every second of it going 💀💀🤣🤣😂
11:03
That's amazing!
Congratulations for the recognition!
Well, kind of 😅
With the description you gave, I can't ever understand what sense would make to use whatever videos they used.
Honestly, I really hope Doc doesn’t carpet bomb it. It’s way too much work to destroy. 🤣
I absolutely love the teamwork on the HC server. To see all the Hermits get together, even for a silly project like this, is awesome and inspiring. Love all of you guys ❤
I absolutely love Mumbo's perfectionism in everything. That message in the top right at 9:00 with the ignore this text written next to it is proper perfectionist material. Mumbo! Just know that we'd enjoy your content regardless of the mistakes!
13:32 scar giving him self xp so it doesnt look like he died and then flying up to get the transition for his video lol
This is one of the episodes I will revisit every couple of years. This is a piece of hermitcraft history. I love it.
I honestly love how the Perimeter looks now, inside and out.
inside and out xD yes
"It's really quite simple" His response to everything about redstone 🤣
I’m so so happy to see all the hermits come together for a this prank. Seeing a bunch of friends all come together just to prank another one is so much fun to watch
This has to be one of the biggest pranks I've seen in any game but absolutely incredible, I can't wait to see how doc reacts especially as the whole of the hermits helped out
In the Buttercups defense, doc kept telling them they always could have ginded more for the glory of the perimeter, so they grinded as hard as they could for the perimeter project.
I am looking forwards to his reaction, I'm expecting some varient of flabbergasted.
8:45
I like how the message to "please ignore this>>>" is what drew my attention to it.
But as a 480p viewer, I cannot tell what it is.
Unbelievably cool to see all of the hermits collaborating. You might think about sending some bottles of wine or other gifts to the folks who sacrificed their time for this project.
20:00 Oh my god this button ending is amazing 😂
This episode was actually my favourite in, ever! Everyone coming together to do something so random, I love it!! 😂😂😂
The button died 😭
Episode 25, 250.000 blocks. Very fitting.
Love seeing the late night sessions with your friends. Some of my best memories from minecraft are those long hours terraforming with friends. We all hated it, but it became SO much more fun with friends. Can't wait to see Doc's reaction!
"Aren't numbers fun?"
Scar, in the Background: "NO."
2:22 the abrupt cut here to you returning after they begin shouting is so funny
And perfect ending! Giving me flashbacks to s7
I can't wait to see Doc's reaction 😂
This is the prank of all pranks right here!
This is what happens when a whole community comes together! Great work guys!
It is not the whole community when Doc's not there.
The hermits really turned doc into a literal hermit
Mumbo I dont think you're wrong to say you've been in the Museum. I did a banner for an exhibition called Rights of the Child. It was a big group school project for a a non-Profit. That banner, that I rushed to finish the night before it was due, went with. It was not my greatest work but hey, I still tell everyone "I have had artwork that has been around the world"; Germany, Japan, Australia, the UK and more. I believe the exhibitionit still exists today in a new format (with waaaaaaaaaay better art)
This episode is so good the joke, the prank, all the hermit, the edit. Favorite "chef kiss"
19:00 you can see the lines made of trees that people made when they were sprinting.
12:57 "I love the members of hermitcraft!" BEST GROUP, BEST TEAMWORK, BEST COMMITMENT. you all are an inspiration!!
This upload brings a tear to my eye, such beauty, such philosophy. Such glorious moustachery.
This is my favorite episode of hermitcraft ever. The way everyone banded together, outstanding teamwork.
This is the best finishing move you guys could of pulled and I love it! I can't wait to see what Doc does. Would be really cool if you added a little village in the middle of it to top it off.
This video explains why there hasn't been an episode in 3 weeks 😂 Keep up the great work mumbo :)
Edit:
Also love you guys brought back big group episodes bit like when Sahara was happening
They did this in like 3 days! The hermitcraft meeting is on Thursday, this came out on Saturday!
Thats why i miss hermits helping hermits. At the start a lot of hermits participated and it was great just to listen in to their conversations and showing how its like behind the scenes. Sadly HHH was quickly reduced to mostly just Joe and Cleo and i dont know if even those two still do it.
@@kierianiis that's actually more impressive than I thought
No they had a break , mumbo was travelling and they also went camping for Grian's bday
@@didi81_ I know, grian and mumbo mentioned it all a little
I was waiting for one of the buttercups to be like "Thank you all for your help on phase 1, now we gotta fill the next layer"
This is one of my favorite episodes of hermitcraft and you achieved nothing but cover up a pothole.
the perimeter inside looks incredibly beautiful. I do not even have words for it.
This is the end of season 9. Doc is just going to blow up the whole server next week
This was truely incredible, the tranformation is so impressive and it was amazing to see so many Hermits come together to complete. Absolutely fantastic!
