It's not that they fail to act, often they're paid by the scammers to look the other way.

Sometimes it's not a matter of acting promptly but building a "case" on them to be able to actually take them down. Sometimes it could even be the place mentioned is small fry compared to the big fish they are trying to catch and the small fry just happens to be linked or under big fish. I could also be overanalyzing.
These scammers are tarnishing India's image as a IT and ITES service provider. Thank you for exposing them. Huge love and respect for you.

The guy saying it's a scam has the most enormous balls on Earth. My first job as a legal minor was for a call center and I got called into the boss office room for forgetting even ONE line in my script even though it was a "legitimate security customer service company". Call center work drilling is tough, illegal or not. I felt bad ever time I called up a customer and they were very old and didn't understand what was going on. I tried to not deviate too much from the script to not face termination, but you gotta flex a bit for older customers.
I'm always amazed about how detailed the scams are. They could run a legit business and make legit money, they could do something good, but instead, they are scamming people. And the fact that people working against them or spying would get them killed is wild.
I think that mostly because, if they want to work a job, they would probably need some sort of degree or experience in most situations, and they just want the easy way out by working like this, and not going through the additional hustle. As for the people who actually run this buisiness, god only knows why they dont do something legit, and only try to scam people. My guess is thatthey would be having some sort of criminal record against them already to be doing this

No, ground situation in india is really bad...The economy is ruined, social system collapsed and over all everything is screwed up after the current extreme right wing hindutva govt. under Modi came to power in 2014. Indian currency is on its lowest point in history. They are managing the real news from getting out by pumping money to all news medias or threatening shut down or buying out literally every one.
Yeah, they could easily just be customer service in online games, answering mod tickets in game or on forums.
they could but you have to consider the fact that running a legit business has so many intricacies like taxes. these scammers don't pay taxes. every bit of money goes into them. so they would rather be significantly richer with their methods that have no security than run a long term business.

There are alot of desperate people out there. Don't judge them in the negative, they are VICTIMS. And may also have disabilities or are older and lonely.
They’re people that get fully confused and panicked due to the scammer’s pitch. The average person won’t fall for it. But some people do.

I work at a credit union as well, lately they started impersonating our credit unions fraud alert text messages which is wild

It is live action security, all banks connected, if you do shady stuff, you are gonna get cancelled, and no more bank for you.
If they detect bad actions, you are given chance to proove it is legal.
If it is computer repair service, they can do a receit for you, that is solid evidence of this action, no receit not valid action.
Technicly, we no longer need gift cards in the future anymore, the money can be transferred immidiately with no delay, or maybe pre selected date for birth day for example.
Similar system to PayPal.
I am from India and u are doing a wonderful job exposing these fukkrrs out here in India. These peices of shits need to be punished severely yet our government seems very inefficient against these criminals.
P.S - I was scammed myself for few thousand rupees myself(not much ik) but I regret it. Many Indians will support you in your mission

As an American, I've also been in contact by a scammer in India. I never shared any information because i don't know the person. I hope we all get the justice for this, this is unacceptable and the new technology we get they can take advantage over it.

All these call centre are run by... Present state government of west Bengal or rajasthan or Delhi or Jharkhand they give then a cut out of there income and instead they get protection from local police... Thats why local police even on complaint will do nothing....
As prime minister have applied GST all over India and abolished the VAT.... Now state government only applies VAT on petrol (gas)..... And state owned liquor stores....
But this is not enough for them..... Because the free funds these political parties do before voting come out of these scam centers..... Which in turns loots the money from outside..... You will never be successful in complete removal of this scam center business because..... They are indirectly sponsored by state government of that state (non BJP ruled state) you will rarely see these type of scams from BJP ruled state and if you see.... It would probably a lone wolf type of scam primary reasons for these successful business model is low number of low skill employment.... And hence a guy who just passed his 10th class can join these for income just by doing a short a week duration course...

You will be amazed to know that these scam frequency will increase just before any type of elections in non BJP ruled states..... At that time they work in dual shifts..... Not only from them, we get too many WhatsApp messages from Pakistan saying that I'm elected from millions of people in lucky draw by "Kaun banega crorepati" (it's hindi version of who wants to be millionaire).
It makes me sick and furious how much work people like you put in, and how much risk some people are willing to take to expose these scumbags, only for EVERYONE you report them to to ignore you.
Some people dedicate their lives to exposing scammers. Some people lose their lives because of scammers. Yet service providers and police departments just can't be bothered to do a thing about them, even when someone like you does their jobs FOR them and hands them all the evidence on a silver platter. It makes me hate those entities almost more than the scammers themselves. At least we all know scammers are the bad guys. The people who fail to act on your reports are supposed to PROTECT people and yet they refuse to even try, it seems.

You mention coincidences and that's 100% a huge factor. I fell for one recently with an EDD scam. My week certifications were stuck on pending so I was no longer collecting unemployment until the EDD fixed it. I received a text message stating that there was an error with my EDD account and I needed to sign in following the link provided. I was so desperate that I clicked the link and filled everything out and realized what I had done, noticed all of the spelling errors, ect, and right after and changed all my passwords.
It was a mix of coincidence that I would receive a message from the "EDD" after months of frozen unemployment payments and the desperation of running out of money that made me not think twice. Most people who fall for these scams do so because "Its a coincidence that I would be contacted by you, I just received an email!"
Dude, this is INCREDIBLE! Nobody has done something like this, but now that I see it this could be a whole genre of getting back at these damn scammers!

My god!!! Just received a call saying that my Amazon account was accessed and that an order was placed fraudulently….. I pressed option 1 to speak to the “Amazon fraud team”, and asked the lady “why are you scamming people?” …. Her reply was “because you are stupid, that’s why” and she hung up!!!
I mean, they don’t even try to deny it anymore…. Absolutely sickens me how rude, their lack of empathy is worrying !!!

the fact he when he was working he would tell the people on the phone that this call is a scam. thats some major balls to do that in front of everyone. obviously its very loud in the call center but he doesnt know if someone was able to hear him say that. respect and i hope everythings fine with him.

Fair warning. I have found a major problem with a lot of different VPNs including Nord.. I have sent them the info about it so hopefully they will listen and patch the issues.. I suggest you take a good look at the programs you use. Sadly not all of them are as secure as they claim.

Just to let you know that VPN's aren't actually secure, and your pushing the problem onto someone elses data centre ...Just fyi ...It's only useful to unblocking geolocations which by now many companies have banned VPN ips.

Reminds me of a couple interpreters I worked with in Afghanistan. Taking risks like this will not put only the person who is working with you at risk, his entire family is as well. I am thankful this guy got out before being found out, because the repercussions that are often doled out, are hideous. Fear of reprisals towards yourself are one thing. Threats to your family? Much worse.

What did we gain? Not a goddamn thing, and watching our degenerate politicians hand the country back to the people who we fought to get rid of, is more than most of us can stand.
I do understand that soldiers follow orders and orders come from elite high up powers. I respect the fact that youve gone out and followed orders and you’ve got the battle scars to prove however, you mentioned about repercussions for informers and spies etc in Afghanistan. Afghanistan is left in ruins now due to a so called war on terror , something like 80% of the country are living in poverty with nothing and the media paint this picture to the world that the people are all backwards and inhumane!

It’s good to hear more of these scammers are starting to flip to tak these cal centers down. With millions of dollars these scammers are at risk of losing I can imagine what would happen if someone got caught flipping on them so hopefully they can stay safe.
