I actually like the Raptor and Road Pig is fine to me as well. Fortunately/unfortunately for me I limit my spending by only getting vintage animation characters. So this particular Road Pig is out, and no Raptor at all.
Dr Mindbender was always goofy looking to me as a character. It was the 80’s, wrestling was HUGE. Hasbro knocked it out with the classified figure, I was lucky enough to get one, but I’d love a whole new look, mad scientist meets modern aesthetics
Are you really overpaying for a figure if you get it at retail? Even if something I paid full price for gets discounted, I don't feel like I overpaid. I only feel like that when I pay for something that isn't good.
Well the claws and the vipers should be a great pick up for everyone 👍, for me I gotta get the gold head commander I've got a few sets of steel corps , I hope moving forward they just put atleast 1 Dreadnok in every wave build out my villains!

Yeah Walmart can suck it!!! I ordered a retro Crimson Guard and they sent me a retro Baroness. Which I already had. And they wouldn't let me return it for the right one. Hate Walmart!!!
Ha, yeah. Those Vipers were tough to find for me too. The one I finally did manage to get, had an assembly error, in that he had 2 right thigh parts. So on his left leg, the pockets are on the inside, with the red ridges on the outside.
Personally I don't expect the retro-card Dr. Mindbender to significantly different from his original release. I think Hasbro are just giving people a second chance to get him given how expensive he is on the aftermarket. I think it's mostly just going to be same figure with different accessories and the purple of his costume will be slightly different.
Amazon had some smoking deals on the Viper three pack, I wanna say it was like buy one , get one free and they were down to like $35. I try and troop build, but usually to like 6 or so. Some of guys are crazy
I go for 10 because my dios can take 20 - 30 - 40 figs depending, however, if I ever get a house, I ll combine troops for bigger dios, I think it should be ok.
I think a lot of the figures we like are based on when we had them as kids. Just like Transformers of G1, Beast Wars, etc., did you grow up with the Sunbow characters or the DIC characters and which ones tug on that nostalgia string.

I mainly watch those for the nostalgia they bring. I am very near 50, and nothing takes me back in time quicker than seeing vintage Joe’s or Star Wras figs. Now a days the retro carded 6 inch Joe’s are doing it! I know the card art work is slightly different, but I still love seeing the characters on huge card backs with very familiar artwork, and some of these 6 inch sculpts are pretty nice. Toy federation channel got me digging out my WHaLE and Skystriker last spring, and some vintage figures with em. When we were kids it was kind of nice to not have hyper realistic figures cause your imagination could fill in stuff and you could also maybe transfer yourself to that piece of plastic. It was really easy for 4 year old blonde haired me to imagine I was like skywalker when the toy in my hand was so generic looking. If they had today’s sculpts it would not have been so close. You are probably half correct though, a third of buyers are people who are like Dan Larson, just love action figures in general, and will be intrigued by the classified line, Action Force, Mythic Legions, etc.. Another third will be buyers like me, picking up for nostalgia. I have Destro, Stormshadwo,Zartan , Gung Ho, Duke, Scarlett, Recondo, Beachhead, as now Serpent, Eels, and Fred 7 all retro carded and still on card. I have about ten other classified figures that I liked due to them looking close to their originals (snow job, shipwreck, spirit, Ripper or buzzer I can’t remember which name it is, and a few others) and these are opened and I have posed them a bit and displayed them outside the packaging. Oh yeah forgot Mutt and Junk, got them last month. I otherwise don’t have enough interest in stuff like Mythic Legions, MOTU, Turtles etc. I had some of the older properties as a kid, and I enjoy seeing them in toy aisles or at toy stores etc, but I won’t spend money on em. The other third of buyers are resellers. I am not indifferent to them, but I would guess they are speculators and for as many times as they “win” and get a figure they can gauge the rest of us for, they prob get the duds as well that get sent to Ross and Ollie’s. same here, 4 bats and 4 vipers pyth, they look ok, but regs are 100% better to me, they just fit so much better with reg officers and troopers, while pyths look great with Firefly...
Definitely considering getting the CLAW, absolutely love the look of it and i cant imagine how large your quavo's need to be to land that thing on a tarmack, god forbid a dirt runway
Honestly I usually have to pass on most of the deluxe figures unless there's few choices at the time. I try to pick up the most affordable ones first. If it's not a favorite character I just wait for clearance.
I use to make Raptor a drunk homeless guy that talked to pigeons. Made his wings from an old comforter he found. The new one doesn't give me that same vibe. Plus, he doesn't come with a bird?
You are 100% correct, and said it accurately = They TOOK the "completionist" need away from me too. By making figures exclusive, too many repaints and then short stocked and upping the price, then NO sir, Mr Hasbro Sir, I will and have just walked away now and will pick and choose what I want, and leave the rest (or like you, just wAIT for the Retro version, which is what we ALL want. I did the same with Star Wars Black Series ... I'll just save my money for specific items.
The one that I would want is the GI Joe FLAK canon, it was my first GI Joe toy as a kid (along with the Cobra HISS tank). I'd adore seeing Haslabs updated take on it. As for the character I think should come with it, how about Grunt? Preordered the Rattler, I missed out getting it as a kid, didn't want to make that mistake a second time. Hopefully with the updated version they dealt with the fatal flaw the original had: namely the landing gear, which was notoriously easy to break. I also hope the thing isn't too colossal in size, otherwise it'll stay in the box. I have the Baroness with the Cobra COIL, really dig it.
Would have love to see a 60th anniversary male Marine out of all the branches you don't get a male Marine. Or they could have done a two pack male and female Marine.
I'm going to be sad if the parachute doesn't work. I've loved both the 60th figures so far. Those and dreadnoks are really the only classified I collect. I've spent my whole life in the 1/18 game to fully switch scales now.
I was able to get 3 night creepers from Target. They screwed up on the pricing so I got them for 10.00 each. A win is a win sometimes. Sometimes you pay more. I'm late on getting my Vamp due to being as much as a hiss tank in the beginning of its Haslab startup. Either way, classifieds was the right direction for me. I'm happy that's what matters. Only one I like is the Sniper. Figured they would make Raptor with mechanical wings and don't need him, nor Road Pig.. At this point I just buy what I really want and apart from the Retro Viper, Zardan and the Claw, could wait until most of the upcoming waves go on sale.
To bad that Classified Raptor doesn't look anything like the Raptor i remember as a kid, so this is a easy pass for me until we get a more a classic look.
I would love it if they make Super Trooper now that they have that chrome faced version of Cobra Commander coming out ( which I am skipping because I bought the Hiss Tank ) Vehicle Wise id be all in on the Triple T Tank when they get around to it

I get most classified figures except the repaints like the night force stuff, python patrol, tiger force, etc. Some like the 60th Anniversary figures I'll play the long game to see if they go on sale. If i miss out its not a big deal for me. P.s. I like the Road Pig figure but pretty sure eventually they will release him as a retro figure that looks like the vintage figure.

The halo's parachute is too small so it's not a functional parachute...they said it's just for aesthetic ...I'm thinking that the reason it doesn't work is because the parachute has to be twice as big as the made but had it been twice as big then it won't fit in the backpack. If the backpack was made bigger to carry a bigger parachute ,then the scale for the bigger backpack would look way too big for the figure itself
I was hyped for raptor but disappointed in final product. One of my favorites as a kid. Now he's like vulture from Spider-Man movie with jet wings and his bird is static with no articulation because all budget is in wings. I'd love a more retro version. Definitely getting another viper on retro card. Also torn on road pig. Might play clearance chicken with him.
Interesting figure selections look good of what they're offering for GI Joe, thanks. Nothing I must-have, so I'll pass for now. Hoping for a newer 6" figure of Blowtorch. They remake many other characters but him. Meanwhile, a few newer versions of Barbecue already released.
I agree with you on a lot of your opinions on classified. I almost want to pay full price for that halo jumper figure, that figure looks amazing. All the other $35-$45 price pointed figures I can just wait for a sale on them or just pass altogether. I’m sorry but Road Pig didn’t need an unnecessary pet.

Outside of Scarlett, Lady Jaye, Baroness, Jinx, CoverGirl, & Zaranna, this is one of the only ones I would want (cuz Serpentor is probably impossible to find and commanding scalper level prices on the aftermarket...but that's okay, I'd rather have these ladies surround my Infinite Transformation IT01 (MP36 G1 Megatron KO) much like how I once had all my female Power Rangers figures surrounding the ol' skool WFC videogame Deluxe class Megs. Cuz Ladies Love Megatron. Now...to figure out how to get the others for not-scalpery prices. 😑

I did not pre-order any of these. The entire line of pre-orders is a easy pass. Road Pig just looks ridiculous. The head sculpt and belly tattoo is just dumb. Look forward to pre-ordering the claw with the female pilot no one wants. It looks great. Hasbro just give us these small vehicles at $29.99 w/o the lame female figures that end up on ebay anyway.

My nostalgia is for the franchise and not so much the designs. I grew up in the 80s and had most of the figures but the designs were fugly on a lot of them. As long as the character is recognizable I prefer the redesign updates. Its 2024 and GI Joe is supposed to be sci-fi and futuristic looking a little. I pre-ordered everything.
I think this Road Pig looks good and you just have to modify a few things to make it look more like original Mike, just like with some of those Masterverse figures like Beastman like removing all those pads and armory to make it look like the original. You can even remove the tattoo name in his abdomen if that bidders you.😃☕️👍

I’m see a trend or a change in the way RUclips toy collectors collect, report news or view toys and toy lines. There are the hate mongers like 3poa, Anthony’s customs, articulated ninja, retro blasting, analog toys. The stupid channels like iron Ken, yo Joe jerk. The love hate collectors like xmanny, shartimus prime, mcu collector 24 its almost as if they collect because they been doing it so long and can’t stop. And at the same time they aren’t happy, excited or enthusiastic about marvel legends any more. RUclipsrs who are the coolest as far as personality or who view toy collecting as a fun art form and great hobby are Damazing, bees battle ground, landspeeder luke, perlecent toys, I love their energy and passion for the hobby. But listening to this video made me think that collecting for you is not fun. It cost too much, you want to wait till things go on sell, your not completing collections, your not mad that your order got cancelled. Are you happy collecting? I had to pull back too, my collecting was getting out of hand. Now I have a list of charecters that I want and if they are not on my list I don’t buy them. I sold all of my overstock every extra figure, all my sub teams, any incomplete collection all gone. Now I have a very focused collecting plan and it made the hobby fun again for me. But watching RUclipsrs isn’t fun very few care, like the hobby, and spend every video complaining about a hobby I thought should be an escape.

I think you have many good points, but people change and vary, it s phases mostly. and you re right about limiting your collection to specific goals objectives that fit your living. I limit to 3 lines, and Indy died, so 2 now, joes - legends yeah, some other stuff is tempting sometimes, but my place and wallet have limits... some bust and sell all for nothing... they have broken, too many lines! when your place looks like a flea market stand, and you won t allow visits... it s a problem, no?

while I prefer v - 1 for nostalgia, v - 2 was not so bad, and the version with a lab coat and arctic were quite nice too.

The halo's parachute is too small so it's not a functional parachute...they said it's just for aesthetic ...I'm thinking that the reason it doesn't work is because the parachute has to be twice as big as the made but had it been twice as big then it won't fit in the backpack. If the backpack was made bigger to carry a bigger parachute ,then the scale for the bigger backpack would look way too big for the figure itself

I was hyped for raptor but disappointed in final product. One of my favorites as a kid. Now he's like vulture from Spider-Man movie with jet wings and his bird is static with no articulation because all budget is in wings. I'd love a more retro version. Definitely getting another viper on retro card. Also torn on road pig. Might play clearance chicken with him.

I agree with you on a lot of your opinions on classified. I almost want to pay full price for that halo jumper figure, that figure looks amazing. All the other $35-$45 price pointed figures I can just wait for a sale on them or just pass altogether. I’m sorry but Road Pig didn’t need an unnecessary pet.

The Female Sniper looks cool. Outside of Scarlett, Lady Jaye, Baroness, Jinx, CoverGirl, & Zaranna, this is one of the only ones I would want (cuz Serpentor is probably impossible to find and commanding scalper level prices on the aftermarket...but that's okay, I'd rather have these ladies surround my Infinite Transformation IT01 (MP36 G1 Megatron KO) much like how I once had all my female Power Rangers figures surrounding the ol' skool WFC videogame Deluxe class Megs. I did not pre-order any of these. The entire line of pre-orders is a easy pass. Road Pig just looks ridiculous. The head sculpt and belly tattoo is just dumb. Look forward to pre-ordering the claw with the female pilot no one wants. It looks great. Hasbro just give us these small vehicles at $29.99 w/o the lame female figures that end up on ebay anyway.

Highly disappointed with Road Pig. He should be jacked but instead, he looks like a taller version of NECA's human version of Rocksteady especially with the face sculpt. It's a hard pass. Praying they do retro versions of Raptor and Road Pig.

I actually found a bag of random stuff from decades ago that had the wings to my raptor and I was shocked how happy that made me last year!!!!
My nostalgia is for the franchise and not so much the designs. I grew up in the 80s and had most of the figures but the designs were fugly on a lot of them. As long as the character is recognizable I prefer the redesign updates. Its 2024 and GI Joe is supposed to be sci-fi and futuristic looking a little. I pre-ordered everything.
I think this Road Pig looks good and you just have to modify a few things to make it look more like original Mike, just like with some of those Masterverse figures like Beastman like removing all those pads and armory to make it look like the original. You can even remove the tattoo name in his abdomen if that bidders you.😃☕️👍

I’m see a trend or a change in the way RUclips toy collectors collect, report news or view toys and toy lines. There are the hate mongers like 3poa, Anthony’s customs, articulated ninja, retro blasting, analog toys. The stupid channels like iron Ken, yo Joe jerk. The love hate collectors like xmanny, shartimus prime, mcu collector 24 its almost as if they collect because they been doing it so long and can’t stop. And at the same time they aren’t happy, excited or enthusiastic about marvel legends any more. RUclipsrs who are the coolest as far as personality or who view toy collecting as a fun art form and great hobby are Damazing, bees battle ground, landspeeder luke, perlecent toys, I love their energy and passion for the hobby. But listening to this video made me think that collecting for you is not fun. It cost too much, you want to wait till things go on sell, your not completing collections, your not mad that your order got cancelled. Are you happy collecting? I had to pull back too, my collecting was getting out of hand. Now I have a list of charecters that I want and if they are not on my list I don’t buy them. I sold all of my overstock every extra figure, all my sub teams, any incomplete collection all gone. Now I have a very focused collecting plan and it made the hobby fun again for me. But watching RUclipsrs isn’t fun very few care, like the hobby, and spend every video complaining about a hobby I thought should be an escape.
Then stop watching and complaining about others opinions...There's a reason why you're not enjoying others and that's personal bias...just move along if you think it's all a killjoy.
