My husband had to give up drinking as it was a major problem in our house, lives and his health. I was wary about drinking at first (I am not a house drinker and go out once in a blue moon) he was absolutely fine with it and just laughed and said it is good to see it from the other side! He is 18 months sober and our relationship is stronger for him doing that!
In my house it was a big problem. I became sick of my husband's excessive drinking and stopped wanting to go out with him. When I stepped away from going out with him drinking (because I started to drink too much) our marriage eventually ended after 20 years. Sad. Drink is not a big factor for me and I was drinking too much when out with him but it broke my heart that this was such an important factor in ensuring our marriage endured.
Same I left after 10yrs he was so embarrassing sad to say I didn't want to be seen with him.I like a odd drink but not to the stage where you pass out.
Yes. I stopped drinking 12 months ago due to heart issues. It’s not worried my relationship with my hubby of 28 years but we’re nearly 60 years of age and not huge drinkers. There’s more to life than drinking alcohol.
If the drinker won't work with you, it's torture. My husband drank, then gambled, then lost us our home because of excessive debts he covered up. I admire anyone who will address their problems and just wish that could have been us because he was the love of my life. I just wish my husband would have done the same. Divorced at nearly 60 was so hard. All for liquid in a glass. Sad.
Its really bizarre that people find it weirder if you dont drink than if you do. They dont take that stance with cigarettes or drugs despite alcohol being just as harmful
Having consumed a lot like we ' all ' did !!!!! ??? wow that speaks volumes.. i have not drank anything other than Tea / Smoothie / Juice or water in over 20 years... its sad that a lot people ' feel the need ' to drink to get through things or just enjoy life... its sad really . Sue Cleaver is actually PRESUMING we all need a drink to get through life. Very sad.
I'd much rather be with an introvert who like quiet dinners out or walks on beach or picnics 😊 don't really drink due to adhd meds so would prefer someone who drinks less
@biegebythesea6775 totally. I know ppl who are alcoholics who are introverted. I'm more talking about people who are super extroverted and like going to pubs and clubs dancing and chatting all night, not the ppl who quietly drink at home. I also have no problem being with someone who likes to have a drink or 2 in the evening at home but I just find it hard to be in company of ppl who are super extroverted and love being in pubs and clubs regularly as these environments make me uncomfortable especially when I've to stay completely sober due to meds. I'm sociall awkward is all. 🤣
very rare for this to be the man who wants a quiet life. kate wants a keith richards type, it's her taste. she should probably go with liam gallagher. he's still reasonably attractive, he's a misogynist, which she loves and probably still likes a pint?
Most people look better after losing a lot of weight. However, Sue Clever looks worse. Losing weight has aged her and she does not look good. She will be healthier though 🦋

You have to work together to make it work, one needs to get help with thier problem and the other needs to support them

Spitting up with someone who chooses not to drink? That is pathetic. This should be ‘can a relationship survive if a partner in an excessive drinker’
Its really bizarre that people find it weirder if you dont drink than if you do. They dont take that stance with cigarettes or drugs despite alcohol being just as harmful
yeh it's horrible and can lead to people feeling pressured to drink.
Nah, couldn't put up with a drinker, nothing wrong with a drink, but people where it's a big part of their life, no thanks
Who says it is the only factor for their separation? Any separation has many reasons.
I wouldn't even contemplate having a relationship with a drinker, because I don't drink!
That's pretty limiting, many people have healthy relationships with alcohol.

🙄 she retracted the comment as soon as she said it..
Agree.

some people are introverted alcoholics. drinkers aren't necessarily loudmouths.

Short answer: probably not if one is a big drinker. Probably can if one isn’t a big drinker to begin with…
Shes too old to be living like that. Especially as she has children. Who wants to be with a partner whos always hungover and wasted at that age?
Kate Moss? She only has one child and she is now in her 20’s.
Kate Moss is 50 yrs old.

She looks great. Someone sounds jealous 😂
I disagree I think she looks fabulous
