    1:44 - you can now have a e-book red book through the NHS. All you need is Photo ID and NHS number/login. Yay to less paper clutter.

    Hi Nicole, peculiarlyhookedonpendle here, just want to say again that I love your videos, Thankyou so much for making them for everyone and being so honest about mental health and your struggles in general. I agree with you the safety plan is really important and I think everyone should have one regardless of ss involvement or mental health issues. Thankyou for letting your subscribers into your world ❤

      You just reminded me that I forgot to show another piece of paper... the most important 'keep forever' piece from therapy. The rest are temporary, will be thrown away when therapy is over but there is 1 , maybe 2 or 3 that will be kept for much longer and just 1 that will be kept forever.

      @@extrememinimalistparent you can always make a new video with the most important. I a, sure everyone would love to see because there is really not enough conversation or transparency surrounding mental health or social service involvement and life transitions. There are far too many people unfortunately who are very judgmental and also a vast number of people myself included with bad ss involve,ent experiences. It is so important for people like you with positive involvement to readjust the unbalanced view the general public have of them in England. They are supposed to be there to help and support families. Your story is proof that there are some good social workers out there

      @@Izzi-n5t I think it's fair to say I have had my fair share of bad as I grew up with them as well. For Harry, we had
      6 social workers (not including the many HV or legal) in the span of 2.5 years. The best SW we had was a gay male and second to that was a black woman (before now, my only experience was white women) and as for the FW, she's truly phenomenal at her people/insightful skills, even if she was always late and forgetful. I was actually told that it was an 'easy adoption' decision when they originally looked at my profile and I clearly taught or showed them otherwise. For another, she will take with her, the knowledge that people can be in horrid situations mentally and have relapses and manage them exceptionally. I only hope that with every case a professional gets, they learn a little more for the next case they have. I actually saw the social worker who separated me and my first and although I wanted to call her the C word, I'm really thankful because I wouldn't be even half as decent without that shock and I can't say if my kiddo would've lived a decent life as he has without it. ❤️

      @@extrememinimalistparent the social workers we have had have varied as well, not had much positivity with white women. They are sometimes very blinkered. I chose to hone educate so that also comes with a lot of challenges with ss. They are very restricted and middle class in their thinking a lot of them. I am really glad that the team you have around you has been so supportive, I think that it is brilliant that they could obviously see the difference between someone with a mental health issue that needed treating to be able to be a functioning person and someone who has got the,selves in the situation because of bad choices and refusal to change habits etc. Sometimes I think they deal with so much of the second type it must become harder and harder for them to believe that their are actually people out there who for whatever reason, mental health or otherwise, make mistakes and learn from the, and want to move forward.
      I think content like yours is so important to the bigger picture and I think you are really brave for putting yourself out there like that. I also love that you still make a video when you are very obviously not having a great day and seeing your struggle first hand is far from uncomfortable, it’s really positive seeing someone who is working through a hard time openly.
      I think I speak for all of your subscribers when I say that collectively we are really proud of you and think your achievements are amazing and if there is any help that you need you should definitely include us if you have a bad day and just need to rant at faceless people online . They are in my photo albums :) I keep only the best/made to give to me. My youngest does not do anything but scribble, my oldest is into maps. I don't live with him, so even getting him to give me the school photo I paid for is hard as he w ts to keep it. I would imagine if we lived together tho, I would have had a mountain on my phone or in paper form. 🤣

    "In the past" I love that for you both 🩷
    I hated that red book too and couldnt wait to bin it, I never saw the need for parents to keep it to be honest as the Doctors had all the vaccination and weight/height info on their computer systems anyway and I'd rather they kept the notes they need not me 😂 and surely a lot of parents lose them?

      Is it the law that you have to keep it?

      @minimalismandmore 7 месяцев назад +1

      @annehedonia156 You can sign up for an e red book, a digital version 🙂 Or take photographs/scan the important pages. I'd check with your children's doctor in your area if you are unsure though but my youngest is 11 now and I've never needed it. It wasn't used much though, midwife and health visitor didn't visit often so it was only the vaccinations they recorded in there really for me
