The weird thing is the first time I saw Emry’s card I didn’t notice the merfolk at all and mistook the card for a sword creature. Seeing this card play and sorting out what was going on flavor-wise was the most confusing thing; now that I realize it’s just a fish woman digging in the lake for rocks everything made a lot more sense
She's the lady in the lake. Hence the sword.

35:24 Test of talents is basically a look through your opponents deck, on top of a Counterspell. Looking at their deck and hand is essentially upside, however it can get stuck in their hand easily
Hey CBG, I think {Millennium Calendar} would be good for this deck as well. I have a feeling, trigger-wise it'd be faster and safer than trying to reach 50 life too. Thanks for sharing!

Cant finish this one. This deck is just so boring to me. The games pretty much always end in a forfeit after 3-5 minutes of watching the combo player piddle around with a bunch of cheap artifacts. I guess boredom is a win-con but it's just not satisfying

not your typical gripe comment, but I like the sand board. maybe wizards should add preferences for boards in the settings, and you can choose the ones you like. it's not like the opponent being on a different board would change much tbh
Breya is my favorite commander deck I ever built, but I never got to play her with Paradox engine, amazingly I had enough wildcards to craft almost the entire deck!
So if you do the membership is there a special discord access or just things on RUclips?
I don't comment often but i just want to ask if its a conscious choice when put in to videos, the only defeats you seem to ever suffer are on blue coloured playing fields. is it an ironic thing in light of your name being blue centric or just coincidence? either way love the videos 👍

If you’re infinite or nearly infinite you can go well past 50 to play around it

I actually played against CGB yesterday, I was excited to play him then disappointed when I saw it was an Emry deck. I quit as soon as paradox engine came down (couldn't be bothered sitting through 5 minutes of tapping and untapping) so I am not surprised I didn't make the video.
If you want to make the video, you have to stick it out. It's also what the content wants

8:10 if you hadnt played out the stonecoil serpent earlier to just die and sit in the grave you could have won here. Even if they make you discard it with tergrid it still ends up in your grave. So zero reason to just cast it given how valuable it could be in your hand as evident right there.
I love this deck, Emry is quite the player in my Shorikai solitaire artifacts and reanimation deck. Mmm this turn does it for me 9:24, ugh the Engine even untaps the Ring, that’s *filthy*
Glad to see emry return was a great vid! Also just wanted to say I have really enjoyed the diversity of content as of late and at least for me has been rather refreshing.

granted that my version of emry is quite different since it play a bit more like a control with stuff like cityscape leverer and more counterspells (PE combo is still the main wincon) but your list not having darksteel citadel, mind stone and the other 2 mana mana rocks has to be a mistake, I also don't quite get the point of soul cauldron if it's mainly for gy hate I'd rather play stone of erech

If anyone thinks a broken card in Brawl should be banned because it's broken in Commander, they haven't seen just how broken it can get. The tabletop card pool is a monstrosity compared to what Arena has. Think Sol Ring, Mana Crypt, Monolith and so on.
1v1 vs 4 players is also a relevant difference

Emry easily one of my favorite commander in mono color, insane value, low drop high value combo. Still not a fan of paradox engine it's way too strong for 1v1.

As much as I hate paradox engine, I love watching a CGB vid more. Can’t resist your charm man. 😂
I can 100% prove the shuffler is rigged. I built a juggle the performance deck with one juggle the performance and 59 lands, half red half black. I have never been able to pull a juggle the performance in my opening hand yet that includes Mulliganing 7 times every game. I have Mulliganed now easily over 300 times. Just to make sure. Then I replaced one of my lands for a blue one. It shows up 8 out of 10 games. Wtf. Wizards is a trash company. If you don’t believe me try it for yourself. Also the result is the same Regardless of what spell you use. Just build a 60 car deck with 1 spell and 59 lands.
So how do we create an advantage based on this info?
Simple. Everyone grows a backbone and deletes the game, forcing the morons at wizards to rethink their choices.
There’s a reason cards get shuffled face down. It creates a 100% random and unbiassed ordering of the cards. They might as well include a wizards of the Coast employee with every paperback starter deck purchased that will personally stack your deck before every game you play
I could write a book on all the ways wizards has manipulated this game from its original paperback version to force outcomes. There is nothing random about anything in this game.

I have the opposite reasoning. Since Paradox Engine is not banned in Brawl in should be unbanned in Commander.
plot twist, paradox engine does not deserve a ban in EDH, it is just bad cometee decisitions, like 60% of the banlist.
