OMG....I'm having a go at this. Taught myself to crochet in first lockdown 18 months ago. After making several afghans, thought I might have enough exp to try this. You are very clear, thankyou....just love it! Using cotton in (3) weight.

Hi Joanne, I've seen a lot of crochet turtorials but there are very few that are as clearly explained as you do. Anyone can crocheting with you as a teacher, I really mean that. I made this beautiful doily and it has become amazingly beautiful. And it was also so much fun to do that I am now going to start with the 2nd😃 The first one was color pink and now I'm going to turn it in very light mint green and there is also a glitter in the thread so I think that's going to be super nice😍
Well, thank you for your great work and I wish you all the best. Happy crocheting and Greets from the Netherlands/Holland byebye 👋

My best friend did this project in white, regular-sized yarn. It turned out soooo beautiful! She's telling me she thinks I can do it, too, but I'm not sure. I started the first few rounds with the video and you do make it very easy to understand. I don't know how to do the special stitches like picot and shell stitch, but hopefully the video will show me what to do. Thank you for sharing this!

What a gorgeous pattern, just finished this part. I did struggle with getting the 24 double crochet in the first round, so I did a round of 12 then increased in the next round up to the 24.

And I even don't have it blocked yet! I was looking for some more doily's at your channel, but I only saw some little ones unfortunately. Are you going to make more bigger doily s? That would be awesome, because you are definitely one of my favorites teachers. You are a master in making turtorials. Oh My Goodness … I saw This and I decided I just had to try it ..!! I have one ball of “Aunt Lydias” number 10 thread so I thought that would be plenty… the pattern doesn’t show how MUCH I will need .. so I tore into it..!!! I just now finished round 24 and It looks like I might have enough to work row 25 before I run out of nmy yarn .. oh yeah I forgot to say the yarn I used is a vintage ball and it’s all I have if it .. in black ../!! Now I have to decide what to do to finish ….!!! I’ll probably order sown off EBay .. they have the same yarn I was using .. so I’ll have to wait until I get the yarn…..

Lots of rounds I had to watch several times and try to make mine look like yours instead of just doing the instructions. I wish I could've made it smaller too. I'm halfway through the second video and it's already almost 2' wide

The only way to make this bigger without dealing with re writing the pattern is to use a bulky yarn and hook. Thank you for watching and commenting.

Pull it out with your hands. It will need to be blocked or you have too many stitches. Thank you for watching and commenting!

Absolutely!! I highly suggest 100% cotton yarn for table cloths.
Look for a high quality cotton.
I like cotton yarns from Drops Design or Hobby Lobby called “I love this cotton”
Have fun making this beautiful table cloth!
