Kentucky won in 96, went to the finals and LOST in 97, and won in 98. they went to the championship 3 consecutive years. but DID NOT REPEAT. the ONLY teams who have repeated in the modern era (post 1985) are DUKE, FLORIDA and UCONN. again KENTUCKY NEVER REPEATED in the modern era
