- In this Fishing Challenge I take you guys with me to WALMART to buy some CHEAP budget fishing lures to attempt to catch some bass!! We then take our new gear to a local lake to see if we can catch anything! Are these cheap lures worth it? Can they catch fish??
Again, I want to thank each and every one of you for the support! At the time of this upload we just passed 256,500 I'm having so much fun making these videos, lets keep this rolling!

I found some dollar in-line spinner baits and they work really well! The brand is ready2fish. They’re really good as far as catching the fish. But as for durability. They bend very easily. So if the fish your catching are over 2 pounds. They’re not gonna cut it.
@@ciaranbrock9984 dont be afraid to upgrade the hooks! I have some 20 yr old panther martins that spin just fine but as long as the hooks are fresh it catches fish!

I usually just use panther martin spinners because they start spinning right away. The blade rotates around the shaft and doesn't have a clevis to attach to the shaft.
The whiptail looks interesting because all I've ever used by them is the Vibrax spinner that makes a lot of internal noise.
The silver vibrax was the premo spinner when I lived in Alaska and fished the mouth of a river going into the ocean.
In finland they sell Blue Fox vibrax they cost 2.50€ each and they are very good for perch fishing.

Blue Fox is not budget. They are a Rapala brands. Blue fox makes many spinners from 3-6 dollars in the vibrax series which is their main product line
Blue Fox is right up there with Mepps and Panther martin. Rooster tail is way more generic then Blue Fox. The vibrax is world class from trout to walleye to EVERYHTING

I fish the snake rivers in Idaho, and I use those exact spinners. Catches the hell outta trout.
Its been crazy humid down here in Georgetown Texas. 90°+ with 100% humidity has been weak af. After about 5 minutes of fishing you're drenched in sweat.

I remember using the Blue Fox Vibrax spinners for trout in the early 1990's!
Blue Fox vibrax spinners catch everything I've caught trout, bass, pickerel, pike, and perch on them!

Hey, you should try the super cheap lures at Academy. It is the "H20" brand. Also, if you want a high-quality fly rod that's a decent price, I would check out the Orvis Encounter. I have had nothing but good experiences with it. I'm loving the vids so keep up the great work!
Snapped my encounter in about 1 week of daily use. Also snapped my cabelas synch rod in 3 places after about 3 months of use. Switched to a sawed off crappie hunter by shakespeare and land 20-30 lb carp like nothing. And it was 9 dollars!
Try using a whip pole and maggots on a match pond with fish like carp and other specimen fish

I’ve been using blue fox for years. They are buy far the best inline spinners I have ever used. Especially for trout!
One time I cough a puffer-fish and it puffed up and made the weirdest noise that I've ever heard a fish make.
If you look at Walmart they have a 5 pack of rooster tails for about 5 or 6 dollars
I have good luck with all the whip tail lures I catch blue gills crappie bass catfish and perch with those lures
I’ve been using those whip tails in ponds and lakes where I know there is trout and they work really well, that’s probably my favorite thing to use, I’ve been using them for the past 4 years

This is why I hate most other places, in Pennsylvania it states if there are no signs you can fish. Unless it’s private owned. Which from what I can tell that pond was not on any private property. I hate people who hate when others fish.

Those blue fox spinners are deadly for the trout here, I have seen people catch rainbow trout at almost 6 lbs with one

My favourite spinners are the ilba ones, those are 100% made in italy lures, you should try them out (i come from italy so idk if you can find them in the US)
idk what it is but I can only catch fish on a rooster tail. 1/16 oz works best for me. It catches a lot of sunfish but the bass will hit it as well.

the best inline spinners are meps though those and a willow blade inline destroy
sun fish are a cousin fish to piranhas. or the hillbilly side of the family. reason why theyre go after everything and anything. i once caught one on a bare hook i had in the water while i was fixing my reel handle. the screw backed out.

@@victorsanjuan5107 I use it when im fishing for big browns. Usually I have a swivel, then 12 inches of 4 pound mono line down to the spinner. I think that the pink works best from my experience.
I live in Florida and the bass are post spawn
I have bought a couple of those spinners. To solve the spinning issue with the blade stopping, i put a slight inward bend on the blade. After that, I no longer had any issue with the blade stopping while spinning. Don't use to much pressure though, the spinner blades are a little soft and are easy to bend to far.

@@AnthonyCenname Yes. They have a slight bend to them already, at least the ones that I had did, I carefully made the bend deeper or more pronounced. Another trick i was shown, is to take an old table spoon and try to shape the blade with the inside of the spoon. As long you are adding some curve to the blade, it should help to keep it spinning. Hope that helps.

I love those rooster tail spinner things! You can use it like a jig during spawn season cuz the hair opens up when dropping, imitating a craw (yes it works I used it like that at bass spawning beds) or you can just reel it in!
