+B. O'Conner wow, for wind instruments we have 9 clarinets, 8 flutes, 1 oboe, 1 tenor sax, 1 alto sax, 1 bass clarinet and percussion. We're a woodwind band XD

Bessy Games the violins have the melody, and there are a shit ton of violins. Plus I feel that the large orchestra gives of more sound and just sound better all together. Especially when you hear all the instruments (especially the cellos and violas)

Last concert I was one of only two violas playing, double basses are also very rare here. We currently only have one, but other orchestras don't even have that. Violins and cellos are the most popular string instruments here, but the cellos are in decline.

I'd bet my life it would sound even better if we were actually in the room with them.
Not very good balancing in my opinion. Melody is either too soft or the accompaniment is just too loud.

In my eight grade orchestra, we have 53 Violins, 11 basses 18 cellos, and 22 violas(That's me) All you can literally hear are violins. -_-

Wait, personally as a violin player, i like it... the only reason why i play it though was bc i already knew the treble clef XD Violas are just right bc they can play all the strings and the only reason why they are confused with violins is because they're just a bit bigger. But Bass and Cello are great too bc of they're low soothing hum. I dont think i would like to hear a violin screaming on the E string while im trying to relax XD... Either way i love all of the orchestra instruments and would gladly love to learn them all! Music notes is like a hidden language that only musicians know. So no more arguing over which instrument is better bc they all have they're pros and cons. #OrchDork ♥♥♥

They had us play this for the London trip and when we practiced the piece and handed it out the first violin sighs and yells to all the others “were playing Val Vida cheese”

I did this in middle school chamber orchestra. We had 5 cellists, 2 of which played the bass part. I was a cellist and my standmate and I got so bored of the repetitive rhythm we had to number each repeat so we didn't lose our places XD . It felt almost as bad as Canon In D

Wow that orchestra is huge! In my school we had to mix the 8th and the 7th grade together because our orchestra was tiny. First of all, if you wanted to be popular, you where in band. Basically the band at my school thinks theyre boss, yet the chours hate them too! im not saying all bands are like this, but mine is. Most of the kids dropped out to join band. My band friends think that theyre so cool, so i just went with it so now i call it dorkestra. Because were cool like that...:P

Spring String Thing Concert Orchestra played this this year. We have a day and a half to master the songs. I think we played it just as well as this orchestra, if not better. Anyway, it sounds pretty amazing when you're a first violin with such a large orchestra. It shows that orchestras don't have to play old or classical music - that's the stereotype I get when I tell people I'm in orchestra. I know a few people in quartet who play nothing but pop songs (Radioactive, this song, Don't Stop Believing and just about any new song you can think of.
