Funny that even in 2021, that fear of the future is more prevalent than ever... living through a pandemic feels like living through a century worth of pain, and no one really knows what's gonna come next. Silver case kinda helped me cope with that fact that the future is coming and it isnt always something to be afraid of, as long as we keep working towards a better tomorrow, no matter how long that will take. Tetsu's "seize that fucking light," speach really sums all that up.
BRUH!!! I never knew you looked into Suda 51’s work... for the love of God.... please shed light on his work. I believe he’s just as good as Kojima when it comes to games
Hope you do a review on killer7. That one has some interesting political themes going on which are almost about to happen as of today (mostly the USA-Japan security treaty)
Any recommendations on a more in depth analysis of the game? I've always been pretty bad with keeping track of large casts, especially when characters appear briefly and they have more grounded in the real world designs. Even after finishing The 25th Ward recently I admit to still be scratching my head over what actually happened and what the game was going on about.
There's a blog or something like that called "The quest for the 50,000". It more or less tries to tie up some of the events of TSC and the entire KTP series
No doubt Metal Gear is enough to keep you busy, but I'm hopeful one day you'll go deep-dive into the SUDA51 universe, or "Kill The Past series" if that's what it's called. I don't know too much about it but seems like there's plenty of stuff going on there.
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on later suda work that proliferated after this. With NMH 3 being released now and the more overt connections with Sudas work. 25w is so much more esoteric and cryptic than tsc.
It's worth playing but don't go in expecting "The Silver Case 2" It's more of another story in the KTP mythos that picks up on certain characters and mostly focuses on the political background that was presented in The Silver Case. It's story is structured more like killer7 in the Correctness scenario, so it can be very confusing but i recommend cycling through the 3 Scenarios after each chapter.
This games story doesn't suck which is a surprise considering how bad his new stuff is or how it's usually style over substance. Better yet the gameplay isn't as hellishly bad as Killer 7's.

The events also tie heavily into Flower, Sun, and Rain, and eventually Killer7.
And The 25th Ward
@@mb2001 the 25th ward is touted and titled as the 25th ward: the silver case.. it’s a sequel.. no shit xD
My favorite Dev
My favorite Game
and Aphex Twin...my favorite musician
Nice video man, a gem
Very nice review. Finally getting around to playing the game since it came out on the ps4. It's a sick game, and deserves so much more recognition.

GuyOnAChair maybe you need to research Killer7.
NoFairPlay No I've seen it. It's love it or hate it but unfortunately falls into style over substance.
GuyOnAChair Why do you think that way about Killer7?
anonomyous65 Because I've read a lot of books, seen a lot of movies and played a lot of games.
GuyOnAChair Uh, okay? That has literally no relation to the plot of Killer7 and your opinion on it.
