DryShod does not seem to offer a warranty to USA customers which concerns me buying a pair of their boots. They are expensive. The Canadian website for DryShod offers a warranty but not the USA...Waiting to hear from them about this.
I live in the WNY Buffalo area and work all day everyday outside in the winter, I've got a pair of all leather thorogood insulated boots I've been wearing and even after treating the leather, some water still wicks its way in after walking and standing in snow after a few hours which in turn, turns my poor toes into solid ice blocks so I've been looking into some other boots options, after wearing these boots for a season would you say they'd be good for construction? I climb up ladders a lot and walk on roofs from time to time so I'm a bit weary on wearing a boot with no laces, do they kinda flop around like flip flops or do they actually stay on you feet while walking? Thanks
I think these boots would keep the moisture OUT, but could also keep moisture from sweat, IN. A change of socks after a few hours would likely do the trick, and/or put antiperspirant on your feet. They fit tighter than other rubber boots that I have but not as tight as, say, Wolverine work boots. They're a bit bulkier, too...and no steel toe. I'd suggest trying to find a pair to try on in person or order online from somewhere they easily take returns (like Cabela's). Hope this helps!!! Good luck!
I’m also from Buffalo and work outside (lineman). Melt in some snow seal with a hairdryer/heat gun until it’s completely saturated. It always waterproofs my boots and keeps them dry in the winter
Hey have question for you , when putting the boots on is it hard to keep your pant legs tucked in like all the way down to your ankle ? I can’t stand the feeling of my pants half way up my calf. Never owned pair of rubber boots just for this reason. Thanks.
All the way to the top. (The neoprene uppers are also waterproof). I am still using the boots as of today and theyre holding out wonderfully! No issues...still highly recommend.
Wait .... What ?? He cant be serious. I am not about to go mucking up my brand new pair , or year old, of DRYSHOD BOOTS , that I love, with some caulking os silicon or lord knows what all else. These boots dont need it. They are Tougher than a bag of hammers. Thats the point. >Respect from Downeast Maine.
Which brand of electric socks have held up well for you? Thanks.
I wonder if adding the silicone could void the warranty?
Hmmm....maybe. But pure silicone can easily be removed....maybe TOO easily?

COTTON SOCKS ARE A NO GO WHEN IT COMES TO DRYSHOD!!! They actually will make your feet sweat and thats what will make your feet cold and wet!
Those are some nice boots.
Bring Lucy UP and let's go fishing!

I use 2 inch blue painters tape and give them a quick wrap.....all good
Get wader pants. They have a strap. And are tapered for boots and waders.
I fold over and use blue panters tape on my pants legs.....no problem
How high are these boots waterproof?

He's serious! If they're as tough as you say, a little silicone won't hurt. :)
Love the boots!!!!!
