In all fairness he did preface this with selling children.
To be fair, he could use being nice to the women in order to make more children to sell. That's how evil Mort is.

I feel sad because whoever wrote the dialogue thinks that children are stupid. That "cover line" probably makes children more confused and ambivalent about an already complex topic
@@supersonictumbleweed I'm not really sure what there is to be confused about or how that dialogue assumes kids are stupid or even how the topic is complex. The topic is simple, people should be treated with respect, and most kids with a decent upbringing are taught that from day one. If you really thought kids are stupid, you would assume that they would be confused by this dialogue. The way the line was delivered implies that although Mort is crazy and has evil tendencies, he does at least have the standard principle of respecting women. Contrary to popular belief, most kids are not psychopaths, and will be able to subconsciously pick up on good values even if they are held by "evil" characters. This is also a comedy cartoon where nothing is meant to make sense or be taken seriously, which will become even more apparent when they grow up.
The kids we will sell, but the women… had me rolling 💀

It's a bad idea to let them keep on feeling safe and comfortable forever. If you want them to grow and overcome, you need to have something for them to be against. Some monster they can be the hero to, some things that are just not right, with which they determine like that is not how they're going to be. You can't teach real self-reliance - it will just end up being fake if they don't start figuring out they can do it themselves.
So we got this absolutely evil motherfucker who the little one likely won't get why it exists, but will know by instinct that Mort isn't how to do it. For this purpose, though, I reckon Mort's too limp-wristed a depiction - if something to be against ought to be there, vitriol ought to be genuine.
