I love how at the end of everything there's an unusually long wait for the Duty Complete message and everyone's just standing there waiting for the next bullshit to happen
I was just curious what this fight would look like, having cleared T5, 9, and 13 way back when. I had to pause the video and just close my eyes about halfway through the final Bahamut battle because I realized I hadn't blinked at all.
I love how simple Twintania's phase is, then Nael shows up and decides to teach you the definition of mechanics overload :P Then the mechanics only calm the fuck down after you finally kill her off. I guess it makes sense since she's a general. Like she's commanding the other dragons and making it way harder than it would be otherwise.
Came here just looking for the final phase transition (with in-game sound). End up watching the whole thing. XD This was epic. The ONE thing I would have loved is if they had played the pipe organ version of Answers during that last transition (the one that plays in the original Coils fight with Phoenix), but this was overall pretty amazing looking. Looks insanely hard. As a person that just does Ex farming for mounts and hasn't done anything Savage and only raided 1-5/Twintania on Coils back when it was current (I'm terrified of Savage, much less Ultimates!), it's cool to see this content that I'd otherwise never see. So thank you for this. :) "...Trick Attack." Also, 18:17 blows my mind. "Oh, there's a safe spot? Nah, I'm just going to stand right here outside of the circle of the wave attack...and then move into the place it just was, see? No damage at all!" I feel like I've seen this with a few other mechanics where you schoosh into a place that an attack just was to avoid the next part, but I've never seen it done with that moving circle thing. Wonder if that works in HadEx...not that you need it with that one safe spot you can just chill in and take no damage, but it's handy to know these things. Found a few in Bozja as well.
If you don't mind me asking, I went over your gear and saw you had the Genji Helmet and the Creation Necklace, which do not have crit like their counterparts. Is there any reason for that? Btw for comparisson my character is Narnun Zart over on Odin. Finally Congratulations on a deserve kill!
Hello! The reason I didn't have the Genji neck was that I played ninja on main and caster on alt prior to UCoB and didn't have tokens to buy the neck at the time of it's release. For progression some of us also opted to go for a Direct Hit / Det build for more consistent results, as group buffs couldn't always be coordinated to take full advantage of them depending on deaths etc which is why I had that headpiece.
Clearing this fight once gives you a token that you can trade for a weapon of your choosing- the skins are same as Turn 4 from the Final Coil but with additional effects.
When it comes to difficulty, it goes Extreme Trial < Savage < Ultimate raids. However since this content was released quite a while ago, there's some powercreep in the classes design (namely dps checks are much more lenient). The mechanics are still as hard, just easier to recover on the non-party wipe mechanics. The speed in which mechanics resolve is faster than in savage as well. But the main difficulty factor in ultimates is the length, doing an almost 20minute run without any major mistakes.
@@Dworim ahhh ok! gotcha, thanks for the easy comparison and reply! I would love to give this a shot sometime, but seeing as I haven’t cleared p8s-p12s, I think I should start there haha! Thanks again. Have a good one mate
Theres no reason you wont be able to. The only thing u wont have is ACT calling out mechs but that can be fixed with a static member calling them out for you instead(which they usually do by default) . Clearing ultimate on ps4 is totally possible , a lot of ppl do so , myself included
it’s really only in this Final Fantasy where he is bad- originally he was good and tried to help fight off an empire but was killed. due to how summoning works in 14, the citizens tried to summon him back but were tricked - due to how everyone was angry and sad people were over his passing/him being killed when he was brought back as a monster of destruction and just fucks shit up now.
@@koishikomeiji4082 so Bahamut got angry over some weak will people that tried to resurrect him when he didn't realize how too much he is to them by his godly power preserved to show how he is but was taken to a bad series of affects.
@@taitioballish3805 No, it wasn't an actual revival. Bahamut's followers literally created a twisted copy of him because they poured their negative emotions into the summoning. The real Bahamut is still dead and is a completely separate entity.
Right now summoner pulls ahead in group dps, so I'm playing that for most content. For progression I've chosen to do Red Mage. There are some buffs incoming in 4.4, I'm looking forward to them, and hopefully it now becomes a choice between which you want to play rather than SMN being the end choice for any fight
Tbh I wanted to see something way more epic near the end. Like a giant world sized Bahamut appear but it was just a yellow reskin. Even when I saw bahamut back in 2.4 I was kind of disappointed it wasn't giant back then either. Also the music at the end kind of sucked also. Just taken from cgi cutscene you see at the end of turn 12 on loop.
It's a remix of the default Baha Coil boss theme. I get what they were going for, but it's more just nostalgia than anything else. And "Golden Bahamut" was something of a meme for a while just how silly it is. Though I guess it matches the fight. After everything else, Gold Baha is probably the simplest part of the fight. Maybe Twintania is easier, but still. Huge difference in mechanic complexity. But just getting there is hard enough, kinda a relief when you play it tbh
Or a White Bahamut that has a new Shineflare attack that removes all your buffs before hitting you with big damage. And he periodically heals for 5% of his missing HP. And of course, the whole White Bahamut phase would be one massive DPS check. If you don't beat White Bahamut quickly enough, he drops a Zettaflare that wipes the raid and prevents any revival skills from activating, essentially causing a Game Over.
Do yourself a favor and stop uploading bullshit. I'm here watching every video and sighing at the fact that none of you can do it without third party illegal downloads.
@silenceundying I agree with you on that. How cheap is it to let a robot voice announce you in a fight? And then stand here and pretend that you insisted on doing the fight yourself? Absolutely ridiculous, poor and pathetic.
I love how at the end of everything there's an unusually long wait for the Duty Complete message and everyone's just standing there waiting for the next bullshit to happen
I want to play healer!
*watches video*
I dont want to play healer anymore!
Hahahah true
You can play healer and just not touch Ultimate lol
UCoB isn't too hard to heal tbh. It's just a mechanic check.
I love how at the beginning the bosses are just floating there waiting for you. They're like "Well, look who's arrived. Ready to go?"
"TO *HELL?"*
Nael: *Aw, $#!+, here we go again*
This is definitely the best POV I've seen of ucob. Hats off!

I remember back in the day for many months coil was the battle ground. Everyone wanted to defeat it. It was extremely hard
to think lorewise this is merely a product of someone with too much imagination xD
IIRC it's the WoL telling the Minstrel "Do your worst."
....the mind of the Minstrel is a terrifying place.
here's a drinking game, take a shot for each different kind of flare that is cast in this fight

Giga Flare, Mega Flare Flare Breath, Terra Flare, Exaflare.
You could just say for each ability called megaflare and that’d be enough to get fucked up

I miss old 14. Not that the new one is bad but seeing jobs having individuality is so nostalgic. Nowadays so many jobs feel the same
Just rewatching this lol. Ultimates are wild.
Same
Oh shadow flare how i miss you...
i really hate how during the downed sequence into final phase you looked everyone *but* at bahamut xD oh well still a good video
Bahamut was really ugly
Same. I mean, why not point the camera towards bahamut... it's not like there's something else to do while the party is 'dead'.
holy shit, this is incredible
I love this fight so much.
I use the Bahamut to destroy the Bahamut
I always miss my rotation because I can't see through the tears after hearing Answers
Well it sounds like the solution is to OPEN YOUR EEEEEEYES
@@FabbrizioPlays no I'm pretty sure you need to play Questions instead
This fight is such a spectacle to watch
The theme alone makes this better than Ultima and Alexander's ultimate.
Hey, how do you make your Aetherbar like that, aka. no dragon but the bar and 2 arrows? :) love how that looks
When you go into hud layout, you can click the class bar element and under it's options you can change it to "simple job gauge"!
Thank you so much!
All that hard work killing Bahamut and the perv in 19:01 ha!
how are you not scared out of your fucking mind going into that final phase,,,
does anyone know how to get that TTS on certain skill going off? provoke, trick attack, etc?
when the party vibed I was like "oh boi"
And after that I went "OH BOI"
Wait? Is this the fight music or what at 7:15??
yeah it's the song that plays at this point of the fight
