Thank you so much! I raised my head to far forcefully. Mine handle was tightened on the threaded shaft and wouldn't let down. With your help, got it fixed and making sawdust!
Good post, Scratch. As LX25 owners know, the assembly manual does not cover the lifting winch/clutch. Mine did not work at all when I first got it a year ago. Disassembly showed that the crank threads were a little dirty/rusty. All I needed to do was clean everything up with wire brush and reassemble. The important thing is to lubricate the crank threads but not the clutch disks and keep water out. Water will cause rust and then the clutch disks don't want to release. Keep up the good work.
