You got lucky. I've had mine for almost 17 years. 145,000 miles. I think, it was around year 13 when my clear coat finally failed. It lasted longer than most 8thgen civics. I have the ralley red color too. Even the paint is flaking off on the door jams. Crazy.

As a mechanic. U don’t put “cold air” intakes on bc that lil thing called the maf. It’s reads air flow. The air to fuel ratio will be wrong unless u have the other hop ups to go with that. Now where are u getting this cold air to come from? The engine bay? B CB that’s where it comes from. It’s not cold unless u do a true cold air. Which is bring outside air only in. And is it cold. Not if your in the south lol. Just so u guys know it’s not a muffler law lol. It’s a noise ordinance lol. Same way with music. It’s actually illegal due to not being able to hear other things. Did u know it’s illegal to have earbuds in while u are driving. U can’t hear emergency vehicles or other vehicles at that point. Exhaust systems are designed to work with turbos and other hop ups too. U cannot do this kind of stuff the right way. In fact u will lose power and performance. U don’t gain. Yea it sounds great. Not only did u spend 500 bucks on that fancy exhaust lol. But now u pay more in gas. Some cars will not accept these things. A lot of newer cars will not accept intakes. Due to air fuel ratios. A turbo car is not a true turbo car unless I spend thousands. Not 800 bucks. U need an ecu. It has to be remapped to accept this. And those are 400 and up. Just do some suspension and rims. Esthetics are great. Performance. Unless u know what to do to do it right. Stop just slapping these things on the cars lol.
Alright so you literally know NOTHING about the tech Honda put into these cars or their ecu’s and it’s laughable. The things these engines are capable of w/ ECU (flashpro) tuning is nuts. You’re an idiot and I intend on making you aware of it. I also guarantee you’re a glorified lube tech, cause no mechanic would ever go to a video like this and make an ass of themself like you just did my boy. Sit down.
Not sure why a FlashPro isn't on this list...I/H/E is useless without a FlashPro/tune with these cars. And instead of LED...retrofit or go with projectors. HIDs in my projectors (I did a retrofit) outshined my LEDs BY FAR. Sure, LEDs are cheaper but retrofits look cooler and actually perform better.
@@0kaznuan999 yea I got new wheels because I didn’t want stock. I’ve had people compliment my wheels regardless. I can’t lower even if I wanted to because a lot of driveways dip low. My lx-s already sits a bit low with the front bumper lip so....
most of these aren’t mods, when u say moss people are going to think performance mods, the rest is cosmetic enhancements, aka as rice but do performance first
Take off those restrictive cloggy mufflers and cats... Cold air is good gains aplenty for me.. my mind was made up when I first got it and drove it on a cold day noticeable performance increase just it being cold has different size intake manifolds to create proper Ram effect through torque curve...
Sit down.
Exhaust leak does the job
My 06 civic literally has ZERO paint problems besides some tar from the road on it. Clear coat still in perfect condition. It’s silver
I’m jealous. The clear coat on my 09 lx-s is going out and the rooftop is already cloudy
I hate when people have LEDs I swear... Great video though bro
What if I don't want it low? I can't buy new rims?
S0raJr 😂😂😂
I legit thought this too. Like if your reason for buying new suspensions is to lower the car only then I think I can pass and just get new wheels
@@0kaznuan999 yea I got new wheels because I didn’t want stock. I’ve had people compliment my wheels regardless. I can’t lower even if I wanted to because a lot of driveways dip low. My lx-s already sits a bit low with the front bumper lip so....
Can’t lower my car there’s too many potholes in freaking Chicago
No paint issues on my 8th gen. 160k
True with d paint problems 🤦🏻♂️
2008 8th in Michigan and my paint is still crisp
For the first step. If you got the money then buy suspension and wheels at the same time
most of these aren’t mods, when u say moss people are going to think performance mods, the rest is cosmetic enhancements, aka as rice but do performance first
😂😂 man this was funny , but good knowledge on this
Cre8tiveGarage appreciate 😂
Definitely gonna keep tuning in , I subbed and I’m also building my Miata
Cre8tiveGarage that’s what’s up! You got a Ig so I can follow you on there
Yessir my IG is simplybigaaa
@@cre8tivegarage157 I see you a artist too I make beats too so we can create some music too.
I don’t got an Si but i got an original honda civic sedan 2 door , what should i do first?
My dude I have had two 8th gens 2008 and 2010 neither with paint problems still have my 2010 too and always get complaints on how nice it looks
I think you’re mixing complaints with compliments. Anyways. My 09 is looking awful with the paint so maybe depends also where you live.
I’m tryin to go w. bags but idk where to find some.. Got the same car as u
My 8th gen has never had paint problems and has never seen the garage
where do you find parts i am looking for a front bumper
Man I didn’t know that my 09 Honda paint job was a recall I thought I was terrible at washing it
5:44 🙋🏻 my 2008 civic has no issues with clear coat peeling. And I can send a pic to anyone who dnt believe me.
Tires, Brakes, oil and filter change you should always do these things before you do ANYTHING to rice your civic
Take off those restrictive cloggy mufflers and cats... Cold air is good gains aplenty for me.. my mind was made up when I first got it and drove it on a cold day noticeable performance increase just it being cold has different size intake manifolds to create proper Ram effect through torque curve... The piston oil jets blew me away... My 06 I removed the catalytic converter the muffler and the resonator ran a straight pipe with perf air filter and it's Def way quicker than when I got her.. the Castrol Edge full advance synthetic made a difference Mobil 1 has left the building
I have a quick question which civic is the 8th gen? Is it the 2009
Any recommendations for header for an si?
You should get wheel spacers that are so wide you go into the next lane
Got the 09 lx sedan and I don’t got no paint issue
BIG FACTS ON #1
