Iron Maiden is a British band formed by the bassist Steve Harris in East London in 1975. The singer Bruce Dickenson is also an expert in fencing, a commercial pilot who pilots their own plane Ed Force One (look up photos of it and him in his pilot uniform). The video you watched shows he can still sing after surviving throat cancer.
Iron Maiden are an English band from London England on Xmas day 1975. Iron Maiden are the GREATEST(live;)BAND in the world now and forever. Welcome to the family, Brother;-) Up the mighty Irons!!!!!
Number of the Beast had to be my all time favorite heavy metal album! It reminds me of the first time I heard the Beastie Boys …. I knew there was something special going on for sure!
Fantastic reaction!👍 With many Iron Maiden songs, you get an accurate history lesson. The Trooper tells the account of a British soldier in the Battle of Balaklava during the Crimean War. Lord Cardigan led the British cavalry against Russian forces during this battle on 25 October 1854. Lord Raglan had intended to send the Light Brigade to prevent the Russians from removing captured guns from overrun Turkish positions. However, there was miscommunication in the chain of command and the Light Brigade was instead sent on a suicide mission charging straight at heavy Russian artillery which cost the lives of over a hundred British soldiers. Alfred Lord Tennyson wrote a poem to commemorate this disaster and he called it "The Charge of the Light Brigade". The bronze that the recaptured guns were made from was used to make the Victoria Cross, a military medal of the very highest order that was awarded "for valour". Very few of these have ever been awarded, even to this day. Other great Iron Maiden history lessons you could check out.... Run to the Hills, Alexander the Great, Paschendale and Empire of the Clouds. I've been a Maiden fan since hearing their debut album in 1980 when I was 10 years old. I've seen them live every time they've played in London, their home ground, and they never disappoint. Up the Irons!!!
Love that this was your first maiden song so hyped they have a huge following and every show they did was a vibe next song should be hallowed be thy name for sure
From 6th grade on I was a teacher assistant and camp counselor for handicap kids. The teachers got me this album as a gift before it came out, a radio station copy brand new. Took a day off school just to listen uninterrupted. Your videos are great!
Yes, sir. I've been to five Maiden live shows. The energy is off the chain. The energy of Bruce Dickinson upon the stage somehow fuels the crowd. And every show I've been to was at capacity. They have so many great songs. Might I recommend The Prisoner by Iron Maiden. It's one of their older tracks and one of my favorites. Other great choices are Run to the Hills, Hallowed be Thy Name, Fear of the Dark and Die With Your Boots On. You can't go wrong with any of it, if I'm being honest
When you can hear the audience over the music, you know they are just belting it out. This is about a battle which is an important part of British history. Kinda like a rock song about Gettysburg.
At a Heavy Metal concert you not only can hear way in the back, you can hear it outside. Heavy Metal concerts are LOUD. So loud that you will lose your hearing once the concert is over and your ears will ring for a couple of days. AC/DC is known to be the loudest concert ever. Especially after they shoot the cannons on stage during the song For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)
I saw someone else mention it... But try Queensryche "Take Hold of the flame" live in Tokyo! Geoff Tate, the singer, is a beast and the rest of the band is phenomenal as well. Many maiden fans love them too. You won't regret it!
You want a passionate crowd, Shon? Try AT LEAST 1.6 MILLION with Creeping Death by Metallica(Live from Moscow 1991). It's about the last plague of the Exodus story told from the Angel of Death's point of view. Epic stuff
Brother I have seen Maiden almost every tour since I was 14 in 1981. Watching young people discover them is wonderful. Music and concerts today are crap compared to the arena shows Maiden, Metallica, Kiss, Ozzy and Judas priest put on. If you haven't checked out any judas priest yet I suggest the live version of Victim of Changes
Half a league, half a league, Half a league onward, All in the valley of Death Rode the six hundred. “Forward, the Light Brigade! Charge for the guns!” he said. Into the valley of Death Rode the six hundred. II “Forward, the Light Brigade!” Was there a man dismayed? Not though the soldier knew Someone had blundered. Theirs not to make reply, Theirs not to reason why, Theirs but to do and die. Into the valley of Death Rode the six hundred. III Cannon to right of them, Cannon to left of them, Cannon in front of them Volleyed and thundered; Stormed at with shot and shell, Boldly they rode and well, Into the jaws of Death, Into the mouth of hell Rode the six hundred. IV Flashed all their sabres bare, Flashed as they turned in air Sabring the gunners there, Charging an army, while All the world wondered. Plunged in the battery-smoke Right through the line they broke; Cossack and Russian Reeled from the sabre stroke Shattered and sundered. Then they rode back, but not Not the six hundred. V Cannon to right of them, Cannon to left of them, Cannon behind them Volleyed and thundered; Stormed at with shot and shell, While horse and hero fell. They that had fought so well Came through the jaws of Death, Back from the mouth of hell, All that was left of them, Left of six hundred. VI When can their glory fade? O the wild charge they made! All the world wondered. Honour the charge they made! Honour the Light Brigade, Noble six hundred!
maiiden have a spade in the music forever my channel, the line to you is (rime off the ancient mariner , or revelations, maybe infinite dreams) try fear of the dark live in brazil(rock and rio) great band
You could be 2 miles away from the stage and still hear the music. Those concerts are so loud you have to wear hearing protection. The video doesn't do it justice.
Saw them in concert in '82. 40 years later they are still on top of their game.
Edit : try Hallowed Be Thy Name next.....

250,000, Chilean 15 - 80 yr old metal fans, remembering English isn't their first language, not bad for a bunch of 60 year old English dudes 🤘🎸🇬🇧
Watch the "Edgar Winter Band" .....this guy can play 5 instruments in one song.

I'm jealous of South America's energy when it comes to metal they're awesome
Lol you stumbled in the Irons rabbit hole 😆Welll, lay back and enjoy it!
When you can hear the audience over the music, you know they are just belting it out.

Crowds in Chile are wild!!! grande Chilito
The crowd isn't passionate about war.... Iron Maiden are Gods in South America, they are absolutely huge there
I love this song. So badass
you also have to think, that crowd is that huge in a country that dosent peak english as a primary language, thats how huge maiden is.
I saw someone else mention it... But try Queensryche "Take Hold of the flame" live in Tokyo! Geoff Tate, the singer, is a beast and the rest of the band is phenomenal as well. Many maiden fans love them too. You won't regret it!
Concerts that size have sound towers placed further back in the crowd so as not to rely on the stage sound.
Cool thing about lead singer Bruce Dickinson is that he is also a pilot and he flies the band/crew to locations.
Living legends right here bro!! Please dive in. Run to the Hills official video is a must!!
Tienes que escuchar "fear of the dark"en chile
Wow great video
Right now everyone is reacting to Jason Aldean - Try That In A Small Town.
