Living near the Fox Chain this video was right up my alley. My favorite bait is a Yum Dinger with a 3/16 weight. Works very well even on pressured lakes like Delevan. Enjoyed every second of it!
Hi Matt, thanks again for all your videos. I recently found a local lake that has numerous bass, so I have been trying all the lures and methods from your videos with great success. Sadly, I have not got any with the hover rig yet. Will have to rewatch that video.
Great video Matt! I love watching how you use a texas rig or jig and my plan this year is to really focus on using more soft plastic lures and build up my confidence with a jig and texas rig from everything I have learned from your videos. I do not have the Ozark rig but will be using the techniques for light texas rigs to weedless neds, shaky heads, and jigs with all my gear and tackle and pass that knowledge to my son and daughter when they are fishing with me. They are 17 and 14 respectively and love to fish! Thanks for teaching and bringing to light tournament baits and what has been working for you! Keep the great video's coming. Greatly appreciated!
Dang this vid hit home! We had a lake house at lake of the woods northern Indiana. I was about 15-16 when I learned about this technique in bassmaster mag. Grampa and I had some of our best days light Texas rigging lizards on that outside edge 😊
Great video. I caught some on the weed line in N MN today. Your video helped me understand what went on as I normally fish shallow and my graphs weren’t working. I’ll try Ozark rig more tomorrow. Thanks!
...I think someone didn't want you coming there when you were told there's no fish there! I live 150yds from a small, 30-acre lake with 4-5 little coves and there's no fish there either! At least that's what I tell people. Big enough for my kayak!
what map card do you use in your finder, i really enjoyed your video and was surprised to see a common lake mapped. the ozark rig did the number on them.
This video triggered a question for me: You’re fishing a weed edge on a lake with good visibility in the summer. One side of the weed edge is shallower/deeper than the other, let’s say one side is 8’ deep and the other is 12’. It’s a sunny day and the deeper edge is maybe a bit cooler, but the shallow edge is the shady side. Which side do you think the fish would set up on? What lures would you through at them? Does your answer change if it’s cloudy or windy? Thanks Matt, love the videos.
Both the inside and outside can be great so i will usually fish both throughout a day but i really prefer the shaded one if i have a choice. So in your section going shallow first
That was something nailing the big fish in the gut especially with a single hook bait. I’ve seen that with trebles . I thought at frist you got a big cat. Which reel are you using , it’s sounds geary ? Thanks for today’s video
Tackle Warehouse is spotlighting Core Tackle right now
Yep and it’s awesome!

Shaded side of the weed lines with the Ozark! Solid tips as always Matt!
Glad to help
Love the info man!! Great job!!🎣🎣

Give it another try
Been throwing a cut tail on a weighted swim bait hook for years, performs similar to your Ozark rig
nice!
The bass were hitting today. Thank you for doing what you do
You bet
🍺Thanks Matt🤠

Yep we were on Lawrence lake not far away it’s a must fish technique on grass lakes
I didn't think grass carp were on the hover rig label, but I got about a 9# this morning, which affirms that the hover will catch anything!
Awesome
The one hooked in the belly I seen your line jump, I'm a line watcher, I didn't realize I watch your line too until then.
He hit it!
Great tips for using the Ozark Rig!!
Glad it was helpful!

Awesome info, thank you very much! Need that Ozark rig for all my grass lakes in MI 💪🏼
It’s so good on weed lines
@@MattStefanFishing any recommendations on where to get them/do you have a affiliate code or anything like that?
Thanks Matt The Thursday nighter is on a grass lake tomorrow.
Good luck!

@@MattStefanFishingthanks Matt, much obliged
i only wish the ozark hooks had a little more gap on them a little tight for a regular worm (senko)
I disagree personally i have had no issue with gap on any stickbaits
DANG" HOT TIPS!
Thanks
Not to shabby for a lake that doesn't have a good reputation but awesome clinic on fishing outer grass edges 👍
No kidding!

I don’t know I’ve ever done that
Before
I done something similar but to everything else that isn't bass😅, will you do a video about locating covers without electronic?
Sure thing!
Thank you for the tips!! Where was your lake house in Northern Indiana? That’s my neck of the woods!
Lawrence lake
@@MattStefanFishing Nice! I’m about 40 minutes east.
Wish we had weed lines here in NE OK! We’ve got Mud lines!! 😅
Lake Spavinaw 🤫
Bummer
@@FishtheMoment YES, THAT’S ONE!! EUCHA MAY HAVE SOME AS WELL. I enjoy your videos as well. Thanks
hi do you have an Abu zata spinning reel and uf so how is it ?
I do and i like it
@@MattStefanFishing thanks Matt. lookin into gettin one..soon
I think the guys who told you there is no good fishing, just didn’t want you to go catch the hawgs in there
Haha probably
I think people told you a lie so you didn't fish it. Great video on fishing weed lines. Hope you sell the old Skeeter that's a nice boat
It sold
👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching
Good ol lake empty.
One of my new favorites haha
What map chip are you running Matt? I really like your depth shading!
CMAP
You can set up your own color shading in the settings on navionics as well
The locals want to keep that lake a secret by telling people it's not that good!
I’m thinking that as well
😀😀😀😀
Thanks for watching
was that a forward facing sonar you tried to brush over?
I had it
On but wasn’t using it for anything other than seeing the weedlines
Don't have weed, mountain with blue back, how about never seen crawfish in livewell in years, sad
Bummer
end video game fishing
I wasn’t video game fishing
Nice bag from a lake that isn't that good
Not at all
