Congrats one of the best bang for your buck espresso machines, nothing gets you a great morning coffee quicker than a Bambino, you will have your drink of choice and your breakfast and other machines are still warming up
removing and cleaning the coffee FIXED my machine would not pull shots! Thanks a million! Huge Once I took out the insert I held over the sink and used dish soap and a toothbrush to clean inside, then the sink sprayer to flush out and clean as a whistle!
Hello, I'm really glad to hear this video helped out! If you do this simple service regularly, you should find your machine's life expectancy to increase 😎 I hope you continue to enjoy using your bambino machine ☕️🔧
@@DrEspresso Actually I spoke too soon, the true issue was the pump itself and found identical one on Amazon. Thankfully this finally took care of the core issue. It's more of an advanced repair but was determined to get the job done. : )
In this video I did, I don't usually, but it doesn't make a difference whether you leave your filter in or take it out, but if you feel more comfortable taking it out then do so :)
Hmmm, does descaling a filter help renew it? Personally, I always remove the filter. I have no idea if the filter reduces the effectiveness of the descaler or not.
@@ImranShamsulThe filter shouldn't reduce the effect of the descaler as the idea of the filter is to reduce minerals from entering the machine, so descaler should get filtered out so to speak. If you feel more comfortable removing the filter then do so 😊 I'm not too sure about renewing the filter with descaler but I doubt it does 😊
incredible walkthrough! i hope that my maching will last as long as yours :) small questions for you, 1. how do you do the backflush? and for how long do you wait with the pressure on? do you use like a rubber thing to block the head inside the portafilter? 2. how often do you recommend doing the descale? 3. have you replaced the shower screen or the seal before? if so, where can i get them from? thanks again! great content!
Thanks, very helpful. A couple of suggestions. You could lay your machine on a tea towel to catch any stray water and to protect the table surface. Also, you might rest the Bambino Plus on a metal tray when using the descaler.
I've got the bambino and have descaled it several times but the wand is not heating the milk completely. It's making a different sound. Is there anything you can suggest? I've taken the nozzle off and cleaned it as much as I can. Thank you! @DrEspresso
Hello, do you have the standard bambino or the bambino plus? The standard bambino takes longer to steam milk I find, however it could possibly be an issue with the solenoid valve that opens to produce the steam. It might he worth asking someone who knows their way around a coffee machine to have a look. Hope this helps :)
@@DrEspresso Filter is ruined, and so is water. Throw away that filter and never use descaler with filter installed - or effectively you'll be drinking descaler. :)
Hi good video. How do you manually start the cleaning process on just a bambino NOT a bambino plus? Thanks. The buttons are different. The only thing i would do differently is put the filter in last after cleaning.
Hello! Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed 😊 I have to agree with the order there, in hindsight that makes more sense. But use the guide as a general process I guess :) I still have much to learn myself being a creator and educator, which is exciting :) I don't have access to a standard bambino, however I have found a video here which may answer your question ruclips.net/video/2GvgcoS5Hsc/видео.htmlsi=EDd4BQMaWyhMhGad
I mainly wore gloves because of the descaler, but also to stop getting coffee on my hands, I'd advise wearing gloves when using a strong descaler to avoid irritating the skin 🙂 Also there's no such thing as a strange question on this channel, if it's related to the video or coffee 😊
All the lights on my Bambino plus flash simultaneously. They do not respond to anything I have tried so the machine has been rendered useless. I have googled the problem and other users have also come across this so it looks like these machines have an inbuilt fault. I did not keep the receipt or the box so I will not be returning it. It’s getting binned. Be warned if you are thinking of buying.
I stumbled across this online, all lights flashing and nothing else, it was an issue with their temp sensor for the steam wand. I hope the link works and helps you out. www.home-barista.com/repairs/breville-sage-bambino-plus-all-lights-flashing-fix-guide-t87667.html
@@DrEspresso Big thanks. I went online to the suggested site and understood nothing so my little bambino is getting tossed out. I have already ordered a Duo-temp pro so I hope I have more luck with that. In the meantime I am getting my fix by using my old and trusty Delonghi Magnifica S bean to cup machine.
I bought a breville bambino plus. I expect it to be delviered today. Thanks.
Enjoy, they're great! 😁

You’re welcome 😊
Did you put the descale fluid in the tank with the new filter in it?

Thanks for your sharing tips how to clean the bambino any tips if the same machine doesn’t stop running and lights flashing with a clicking sound

there is descaler water on filter ??? ok ???
I haven't noticed any issues with it, however if you want to remove then do so :)

@@DrEspresso AWESOME thanks.
@NWcpl No problem, happy to answer any questions given if I can, hope to see you around in the comments on future posts 😊
Any advice bambino or bambino plus?
Thanks for your comment. My word of wisdom is a happy machine is a reliable machine. Keep on top of servicing, and enjoy that sweet espresso 😁☕️🔧
We need to get you a tripod! Do you have an amazon wish-list?
That's very kind of you, I don't have an Amazon Wishlist, but I do now have a tripod 😊
Possibly strange question, are you wearing gloves to protect your hands or to protect the machine?

There's nothing worse than when you pull a shot of coffee and then your bambino flashes for a clean and you can't do your milk!
Hard times 😥😂

@jaxthename it's quite a technical fault, it's a shame that this happens really. Enjoy getting your fix from the delonghi 😁
The machine she’s cute. She looks like she’s taking wee❤
