I remember a few years ago we were forced to watch videos about sexual harassment. The video kept making referances to Tea and if someone doesn't want tea not to force them to drink tea. I think the producer of the video was really into tea and the video itself like almost all CF videos could be summed up as "hey don't do stupid shit!". So I'm a 2Lt at the time, and my major asks me, did you watch the video. As we all had to do so as apart of our job. I answered, "yeah, I'm not uspposed to force you to drink my tea" with a shrug. we laughed.
F'IN HILARIOUS!🤣I remember being totally sleep fucked, nodding off in class watching these, and then laughing my ass off at them. The highlight of my training weekend!
This is normal vernacular for the US Armed Forces. We dropped the f-word, and the other f-word, just about everyday. It only only get offensive when it's meant to be.
Today we have DAOD 5019-4, 5019-5 and 9005-1 and your local DJA to deal with much of this conduct that was pretty much off the radar back in the 1980s prior to the Somalia Affair.
The answer to both questions is pretty much Yes. It was effectively illegal for LGBT members to serve openly until CFAO 19-20 was declared illegal on 27 Oct 1992. Women also just got the ability to serve in the Combat Arms around the same time as well. For this training video, it usually took an extreme example approach as it knew its audience was probably pretty hostile to change at the time, and a big change in attitude was needed. It was also produced during the midst of the Somalia Affair as well.
@@A_Ryan I am very familiar with CFAO 19-20 and have been very connected to survivors of the purge, but I wondered if the day to day was that hostile. And women were actively involved in it! That must have been a means of survival. I guess the examples here are akin to your instructor stomping a boot when a concept should be remembered. The missing element is the info from the instruction book. This is a series of vignettes that are horrific to people who don't align with them. Thank goodness things have been changing these last 25 years
By far the most realistic military movie ever made.
fr
No word of a lie this is some of the best acting I've ever seen, because it sounds like real normal people
And, the actors portraying the military school staff, in 'Child's Play 3' could've passed as CF training instructors.
Remember seeing this in basic. We all laughed our asses off.

Finally! I have been wanting to re-watch this series since I joined in 2000 😂

I have been looking for this video for years! How did you get your hands on it? Thanks for posting.
Found a VHS copy in a pile of tapes that were going to disposal. Kept the pile, and scanned them in.
@@A_Ryan You're doing the lords work.
@@A_RyanIs that how you got all these old videos you've uploaded?
“I hear the drink like fish.” Classic!

YOU FOUND IT!!!!
hello did you have the french version of the military video ?
Haven’t come across it yet.
At about 0:25, I don't see the need to warn members of the CAF, the target audience of this video of the possibility of "coarse" language.
excuse me sgt can we talk about the perpetuation of rape culture in the forces?
This is comedy gold
I havE no idea what is this

No. We thought these videos were ridiculous when they forced us to watch them in the 90s
@@bradley1935 so true, I had to do this course so many times, I like the combat first aid videos from the 90's.
My memories from when I served in the 1980s was females dished it out as much as they took it.
