Update: In this video I was using older alameda corks I've had for years. Now I just bought some new ones and the gap the line clips into is much larger such that they won't clip well to 20lb line. Seems like they would need 40lb line or so.
As a jealous Louisianian, I’ll have you know the state is in the process of finally making changes to our backwards trout and redfish limits 😂. We’ll see what happens! Popping corks just flat out work and should definitely be a go to in every angler’s arsenal. Heck, even fly fisherman use “indicators”.
Haha stepping up the game with the graphics bro.😅 FYI there is some deeper water across the flats your on north of where you are. The bigger trout are holding up there when the sun is higher because of water temps.
Struggling with a summer cold (the worst). Actually every cold is a summer cold here in Indonesia now that I think about it. Anyway this video really cheered me up. Gas station popping cork for the win😅
Thanks for the tip on using Alameda popping corks. I just bought some and didn't know exactly how to rig them. Also I see the folks over at Windrider are using your photo to promote their Helios shirts
Brother I would seriously love to see you do a Temu challenge. Buy a rod and reel along with all tackle (lures and hooks) off of Temu and take it feeshin. I have a Temu rod and reel. I have Amazon lures and they work where I live (near Pittsburgh).
So first off awesome video! Always good content. I have learned a lot from your videos, especially for someone that's move from the north down to south Texas. Either I'm extremely "special" or I bought some defective floats. I've tried tying it to my line but it doesn't stay. What's the trick? Is the popping corking messed up or is my line too small? I'm using 20# fluorocarbon. Not sure where I'm going wrong...
Always ""Candle light"" those Redfish fillets. You may see something you don't wanna eat. I do that with my Reds and Blacks. Cut it out of the fillet and commence to cooking. I found a few fillets I had to just toss cause they were loaded with parasites. Let me know what you think.
Spotted red fish is supper good !!! Especially in soup its freaking delicious 🤤 Trust me or grilled and lemon with Dan -os lemon pepper is fire with aluminum foil then wen partly cook sear it on both side on a pan with butter till a bit crisp it’s delicious with olive oil drizzled on top :p thank me later
And you know what sucks? I called H&H and the Alameda cork is being recalled due to defects that can cut your line. I’ll have to use the old line tie popper Cajun ect.. I’m ready to hit the coast 🤙🏼
Thanks for sharing as always Coop! After watching your vids for years I finally picked up a waterloo salinity medium-light, and just caught my PB Jack (30lbs) on it! Was a hell of a test for that rod but it got the job done! Took over an hour lol, made for a great vid on my channel!
It's been awhile since I've seen your videos you've gotten better and your keeping fish because you're a fisherman and that's what should be going on but we have people who fish for the publicity to get paid but you're the real deal thanks Bro

When we going, moved to ingleside little over and year and need to know the bay got a boat lol.
I just bought one and couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong since it kept unraveling. (15# mono). Kinda pissed I wasted my money.

Ah hell! When did this turn into a cooking show too?! Good production man. Though background music was kinda loud. Nice new kitchen.

Bro, the transparent water bobber will be perfect! Give it a try. Same splashing effect and the fish sees only the lure... very successful for me.
Outstanding, however, don't over look adding some cappers.
You've had the Bote for a while now. When we getting a relook at it and maybe get some pros and cons???
Did anybody else do his laugh after he did it? Lol. After watching your videos I be sayin “oop there’s a guy”
