Brian Pillman’s sister is the REAL MVP. I wonder why she didn’t attempt to gain full custody of Brian Jr. and Brittany, because she would’ve had a very good chance given her history.
Absolutely even the funeral of Pillman there was camera man there and told them to get out
I would imagine it would have been nearly impossible to get custody of Brian Jr as it was her biological child. The orphan sister tho, that's another story.
@@generallordjowbra8871 if you can prove drug addiction it's a lot easier and based off her drastic change in appearance, I imagine that wouldn't have been too difficult.
@@wrestlingwithart she would have had a chance but there are states that leave kids with their mom's knowing that the new BF may delete them (sadly, it happens). I live in Ohio and its possible, but it would have been a fight and could have been expensive.
Likely because with 2 active parents and residuals coming in, that should be enough in the interest of the children. The courts can't predict one becoming a drug addict and the other a damn abusive parent.
Brian Jr's stepdad better be happy Brian wasn't around he would've seen the real Pillman 9mm Glock.
Lol true
As crazy as this sounds, I think Brian Pillman is still working Bischoff from beyond the grave.
No no, Eric is in on it. Just ask him.
I love to hear Eric talk. His podcast is great but Eric is also full of shit on a lot of stuff, including this Pillman thing.
@@travismcdonald6576
Brilliant
@@Billy_Carter You must really like the sound of his voice. I gave up on the podcast early on as soon as I realised that it would just be Broke-ass Bischoff either lying like a cheap rug or not being able to remember anything again, whatever is more convenient in the moment. What's the point? That guy is never going to tell the truth.
I don't need to listen to Fat Connie McLoanshark reading old "Wrestling Observer" articles out loud anymore, either.
@@henrygvidonas9573 you seem extremely angry about an old, washed-up, has-been having a podcast
What an episode....Seeing Brian Jr. and the emotions he was experiencing throughout the episode, I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster... I'm happy he was able to reconcile his relationship with this mother... I think he needed that 💯
I agree - I see a bit of his dads charisma and personality in Brian Jr.. I wish him the best.
he seems like such a good kid for all he went through! i hope he gets big in wrestling
Good review man.
@@heatherduncanfamily5531 thank you
I’ll say the 3 best dark side of the rings are the Owen hart Brian pillman and bruiser Brody ones in my opinion
Shed a tear hearing Brian Jr. talk about his growing up but by the time it was over, I had a smirk on my face cause he very much seems to have people in his corner, and the afterlife looking out for his best interest.
He's over as heck on AEW.

“I didn’t need to see Brian Pillman Jrs step dad destroy his video game”. You know who else didn’t need to see it? BRIAN PILLMAN JR WHEN HE WAS A KID
He was talking about the stupid re-enactment.
Ya don’t say.....
This is a ridiculous comment. He wasn't saying as if it was graphic, it was just a bit irrelevant we get the gravity of the situation, theres just no need!
@@hadvarr8578 your outrage is ridiculous
RIP GameCube
During the Dark Side episode, Corny getting choked up with sadness telling about the news of Pillman's death from the hotel front desk employee.....damn that hit me in the feels
The part with Corny getting emotional and the part when JR talked about walking up to his casket. 😥 He was so young man, so sad.
Did it hit you in the feels when pillman drove a young lady to suicide?
@@jeffreyklima7612 that shit was sad as hell too!
@Patrick Jonathan absolutely when he said Owen’s last words before he died was watch out I was gone
@@jeffreyklima7612 That was Melanie that did that. It started with a misunderstanding that Melanie blew out of proportion. Melanie filed the charges against her, Melanie said those horrible things to her over the phone. Brian only had his daughter's best interests at heart. Brittany's mother wasn't capable of taking care of her at that time. She was in a bad place mentally. I honestly I think that if not for Melanie, Brian would have paid to get Brittany's mother the help she needed so she could be in Brittany's life. Unfortunately Melanie didn't want that because of petty jealousy.
Thank God for Brian pillman's sister.
Kim Wood was the fricking GOAT of that episode. He'd been a great full-time wrestling manager in the day. He was a damn good life coach!
this whole time i thought his name was ken lol
Check out his interview on the Observer
I wish Kim Wood had kept Brian off the pills. As a chronic pain sufferer, I know that's extremely hard, but someone needed to hospitalize him for his antics and get him treated for pain and addiction. But America has no universal health care to this day, so that wasn't possible. Terrible situation.
@@christhornycroft3686 its kinda hard to OD on plls. Unless taking alot of pills and mixing them. But as a loser junkie shooting dope im the only one i know who has never OD'd. I was on the wrestling team in high school and had horrible tail bone pain and tears in my rotator cuff and fuckef up the growth plate in my shoulder snd at 16 i had a script for L-10s (fun time party time) and towards the end id take 12 at a time . Then they cut me off ,got really sick and thats when i learned about detox and that wad miserable. But it was near impossible to get anothrt script of pills which werr safe compared to heroin which i and othrts went to
i was honestly choking up. Sniffling. I literally had goosebumps when they showed the brian pillman tribute in 1997. I am so glad to know I got to meet Brian. I cannot wait to see more of his matches. I was so sad when I hear what Brian had to go through. I am so glad to know that Brian has such a loving heart. He wants to reconnect with his mother. Not to mention they have a sweet as pie aunt who's always just a phone call away. This second part hit me so close to home. In more ways, I couldn't even believe it.
Aunt Linda 👏👏👏👏
@@practicemakesdecent3732 amen to her indded.
I was always a huge Pillman fan and I really liked Brian Jr. in this documentary. I wish him the best and I hope he does well.
What does he do to make money?
@@robintaylor7355 As far as I know, right now he’s working for AEW and some of the smaller promotions.
Brian junior is part of the varsity blonde tag team on aew :)
@christopher olivarez I could see that being pretty cool!
I see a bit of his dads charisma and personality in Brian Jr.. I wish him the best.
Best moment is the spider in the shower.
Oh God - Brian pillman jr
That was so funny everything was so emotional and someone shouted oh my god I laughed and then she explained I left the spider there and completely forgot about it 🤣🤣🤣
Brian Pillman Jr fears Spiders. Lol
Was such a wholesome moment
@Stefan Griffin Just say laughed, you mark.
Brian's sister and Brian Jr. deserve the world.
There are 3 altogether. Two sisters and Brian Jr.
@@iamcasihart hi beautiful

Was wondering if anyone else caught that lololol
Dyslexia kicked in
Was laughing very hard when he repeatedly said that term
That was fuckin hilarious
After his match with Jericho he went even more in depth 🤣🤣
I know this isn't going to be popular and I'm sure everyone will get pissed but Both Brian and Melanie should have felt responsible for Rochelle's death.
They did, they literally said that in the documentary, obviously Brian wasn’t there to say it himself but that was definitely the vibe
sad but true
@@samsational168Good and I hope it ate at Brian until the day he died. And I hope it eats at Melanie till this day.
@@christopherhamer9584 agreed. What happened to her was fucked up and not right
I have lost a lot of respect for brian pillman after this episode. The rochelle incident and his neglect for his kids were outright horrible.
Can we all just acknowledge how lucky we are to be able to watch the premiere of such an incredible documentary series, and afterwards have access to the insider insight and perspective that Cornette brings? it really expands the whole story and there is so much to learn. Pretty incredible when you stop and think about it.
The power of the internet.
I felt so badd for those kids 😩 😢Melanie was a horrible person an a horrible mother and we can all tell karma caught up to her
Like the daughter said her punishment is gonna be to live to a 100 and be miserable and she should have already been dead years ago with her drug use which you could see its taken a toll on her
Watch that crackhead outlive them all
I was shocked seeing her during the episode. Not only that she clearly had a history of drug and alcohol abuse, but that it was obvious, that she even must have been a heroin user as she showed all the typical symptons (scratching her arms all the time, the missing teeth, the hair loss)....it´s a sad irony, that during the custody battle in the 90s, she got told, she would be a better mother for Britney than her own mother, and then after Bryan´s passing, she let everything happen, that would prove the opposite of that statement. One could almost feel sorry for her, if she wouldn´t have been such a miserable excuse for a parent. To sort of quote Judge Judy: "Mothers aren´t necesseraly always first class parents".
@@-JAVY- so true
Can you edit your comment to delete the extra space before the word "Like"
It's genuinely killing me 😂😖
To me she honestly seemed to realise the gravity of her actions and seemed really remorseful. Maybe im naive but i still hope even shitty people deserve a chance if they truly want to change.
I was a fan of Flyin' Brian as a kid and popped when Brian Jr. signed to wrestle for AEW. If I didn't know who Brian Pillman Sr. was, I would totally be a fan of Jr. after that ending. I want nothing but the best for him and the whole family.
I remember when I was addicted to banks so bad, I had to rob drugs.
😂😂
Hope you are doing better
Just now watching this clip and had to scroll down to see if anyone noticed this Jim Nugget. "A bank-addicted drug robber."
Booker T robbed drugs one time. Dont know if he was addicted to banks, though.
Brian Pillman sisters deserve that Ultima Warrior inspirational awards at the WWE Hall of Fame...
Funny since Melanie Pillman was sleeping with the Ultimate Warrior before she hooked up with Brian.
Kim Wood was absolutely and hilariously accurate 💯 😂🤣
Brian Pillman's sister is a real life angel.
I never even heard of Nick Gage, so Googled him. Thank you, Wikipedia. Now I understand the bank robbery reference. 😂🤣
I don't get why Jim is capping on this guy when new Jack did the same thing
@@DrDemonq8 Well, he has his own bias with New Jack due to both worked together in Smokey Mountain back in the 90's. Aside from that, he also is not a fan of "Hardcore Wrestling" after ECW especially Indie shows that try to do "Hardcore" first, "Wrestling" second - hence, to which Nick Gage belongs to.
@@DrDemonq8 because jim is a hypocrite
I felt both anger towards Melanie and Respect for her. I was really angry about how she treated Brian's first wife, contributing to her suicide. But also respected the fact that she sat there and told the truth about it. She made no excuses, didn't try to scapegoat; she owned it
2:08 You know it's gonna be a good video when you hear the vintage Corny cough! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Has he trademarked it yet? lol
@@misternewman1576 If he hasn't he should! 😂😂😂
I liked how we got Sentimental Jim Cornette while discussing the Brian Pillman story and then *BAM* at 18:13 it’s Classic Cornette again!
I thought the Pillman doc was very well done. The family perspective was hard to watch at times, but it felt real and honest. RIP Flyin’ Brian
Brian’s sister was awesome. Feel awful for Brian’s kids, whole new respect for Brian Jr. I have no respect for Melanie (Brian’s widow). I’m glad jr. has found peace with her. But she seems like a walking drug to me.
Meth
One look at her and I felt like I needed a shower
Aunt Linda and Kim Wood were the stars of this episode. Loved them both.
Loved the Pillman episodes. Well done and have to feel for the kids for how they grew up and much love and respect to Aunt Linda is the savior.
I felt like a dork but I went to Brian Jr's IG to leave a comment saying how much I loved watching his dad growing up, how proud he would be of him, and how I will definitely watch and support him and love that there is a Brian Pillman wrestling again. The funny thing about Dark Side of The Ring is that it seems to bring out a lot of the loving, positive, supportive side of the wrestling community despite the name of the show. I think the way everyone has embraced Brian Jr. after seeing this is great and I can't imagine having a Brian Pillman Jr. who looks just like the old man and not capitalizing. I'm sure his stock in AEW will rise big.
Yea you are a dork 🤓....don't be a mark

Corny- " That fuckin Bank addicted drug robber"
Me- 🤣🤣🤣☠️☠️
“Bank addicted drug robber!” HAHA
THANK YOU Jim Cornette, I love it!
You are a LEGEND and you have single handedly given me a newfound respect and appreciation for the world of professional wrestling and I look forward to ALL your appearances on Dark Side of the Ring!
Man, it was so weird to see Jim and Meltzer on the same show lol
as amazingly questionable Meltzer´s views and statements have become over the last years and as critical you have to look at him these days....damn, the dude´s in shape, for being in his 60s now! Look at those arms of his, I thought when I saw him during the episode.
I don´t think there is real hate between Corny and Dave...not even from Jim´s side...more like sadness, disappointment and some justifiable anger of what their relationship has become. I don´t think Dave gives too much a damn about Jim, otherwise he wouldn´t have a problem to jump him whenever he has the need to spice up the observer and fulfill his underlying contractional obligations as AEW propaganda chief.
my stomach turned when they showed that old fart meltzer.....Are the producers of the show unaware of what a biased pathetic aew lover/young fcks mark. He has become as of late???
I feel that Dave are friends with the Bucks, Omega and he loves their style of wrestling. Jim hates them and that style of wrestling. I’m not a fan of Dave these days but I can see he was caught in the middle and picked them over Jim.

Seeing Cornette cry when he found out Brian died was something
The guys didn't even touch on the biggest part of the Brian vs Flair match; Brian literally whooped the shit outta Flair. Flair shat himself and you could see it through his trunks. I watched it live and laughed my ass off the entire remainder of the match!
Wait what? Legit? What ppv?
@@oldirish6163 It wasn't on PPV, it was on an episode of WCW Saturday Night. But yeah, it was legit, you could see the brownness on the back of Flair's trunks lol.
Travis keeps killing it with the Thumbnails! Corny looks like Repo Man & Brian Pillman looks so legit with the Cincinnati Bengal printed shirt!
In my opinion, the ending didn't ruin it, it makes me care about Brian Pillman Jr. even more, I'm rooting for this guy and I hope to see him on top, I remember watching AEW and seeing all the crap they put on them seeing Pillman and audibly saying, this kid gets it! But sadly nobody else does...
If anybody in AEW has half a brain cell in their heads they could use this to push Pillman Jr to the moon. Sadly I don't think it will happen in AEW.
If you ever needed a 'Just say no to drugs' example, look at Melanie Pillman. That's what drugs will do to you in the long run.
Im far from having the best teeth myself. But one would think shed get her teeth fixed before going on nationwide TV. Worldwide TV, probably!
Or Brian for that matter
Jim I am a big fan of yours. Thank you for all the years of wrestling gold.
I just now finished watching your segment from 10/13/97, in WWF, about Phil Mushnick and it was amazing. I don’t agree on a lot of stuff you say, but I keep listening because do I agree on a lot of other stuff. Brian Pillman was my favorite wrestler growing up and I only hope his son goes on to become even greater. Because I feel he has it in him.
Keep doing what you do
R.I.P. Brian Pillman
I was amazed by the show because it was the second time I’d seen Corny get emotional when talking about the moment he learned that Brian had died
I just finished watching Part 2 of the Pillman DSOTR. I enjoyed it and at the same time, realized how much I enjoyed Pillman Sr. when he was just Flyin' Brian teaming with Tom Zenk. On another note, kudos on hawking a CBD product.
No dark side of NFL? OJ Fuckin Simpson. Arron Hernandez, Mike Vick. I can name so many Jim. Cmon now.
Apparently Cornette doesn't like 🏈.
@@foleynj86 well neither am i but i watch the fuckin news lmao shitttttt. Jim needs to read the paper haha.

@@erikstorm8935 Good point.
Melanie Pillman and The Ultimate Warrior in a relationship. Jesus Christ.
That mothership scream was so loud Cornette's ceiling collapsed on his head!
One year later and they've done NOTHING with him except have him get beat up by MJF and Malakai Black. And now they're doing some Alexa Bliss rip off nonsense with Julia Hart, with. her being "possessed" by Malakai. This is awful. They're burying the 3 of them - Julia, Brian Jr and Griff. All of them are looking like chumps right now. Get them to work with Punk and Danielson. They'll get them over. Or even the Hardys.
For me, this was after the Benoit Episode the most emotional DSOTR so far. I´ve only had obscure knowledge about Brian Pillman, so it was great to have his entire story so fleshed out during this program. The producers/directors did a great job here once again. Great that Jim and Bryan L. liked it. Too bad, that Bryan didn´t like the final part about the Pillman kids in the aftermath of Brian Sr.´s death. Corny was right, it felt like an important and necessary follow up to Pillman´s story, since it´s about his legacy, which are his children and the effect, his passing had on them and their lives in the long run. Maybe Bryan L. comes too much from a safe and healthy family life to be able to relate to such a problematic growing up, like the kids had to endure. I think anyone, who has remotely experienced what it´s like to live in somewhat of an unstable or plain broken family home, can relate to what Pillman´s children had to live through (I think Corny can more than Bryan L, since Corny´s dad died when he was young), for me it whas heartcrushing...as astonished am I, that the kids grew up to be such good and healthy looking and well spoken people, I think Brian P. can really be proud of them (just like Owen Hart can be proud of his two kids), I really hope the three children don´t let the tragedy they had to live through during their childhood and youth affect them during their adult lives. Really rooting for Brian Jr. to make it in the buisness, since you can tell, he is really improving and getting a nag for it. Just hope the narcissistic/incompetent and goofy booking and buisness culture in AEW doesn´t slow him down too much.
Given how liberal Brian Last is Im surprised he didn't show more empathy toward the Pillman kids and what they went through. Usually liberals claim how empathetic and caring they are lol.
@@erikstorm8935 not sure why you felt the need to shoehorn politics into this.
Kim Wood was the highlight of the episode. Hearing his perspective was awesome and he was hilarious.

He was the George Carlin Post-Acid of wrestling. His grasp of the English language was unmatched and he frequently mentioned Carlin many times in promos. The 7 Words?

He was Kurt Cobain with muscles lol. Cool look.
The episode had me in tears
Alright relax you didn’t know the man
AEW would be beyond foolish if they don't capitalize on this episode. Brian jr can be a big star in the business one day

I mean this as the best compliment ever, Jim Cornette, the George Carlin of wrestling and it’s the best hahaha 😂
I also gotta say that I’m not a wrestling fan now whatsoever but I was a huge one as a child and this show has me eagerly waiting for every episode.
Just seeing Brian Pillman Jr get emotional talking about the abuse from his stepfather literally broke my heart. I felt so bad for him. That was too hard to watch if you ask me. I'm just so glad that Pillman Jr didn't let it get the better of him. As far as his stepfather, I hope that son of a bitch is currently in jail for life or ends up in jail for life & gets the same treatment that he gave Brian Pillman Jr as a kid.
I really wish that Austin and "The Boys" paid Pillman Jr's step-dad a visit
Jim Cornette, WrestlingBios, Dark Side of the Ring, and Brian Zane’s classic PPV reviews are how former wrestling fans can still feel like a part of wrestling without losing our fucking minds trying to watch AEW or WWE. Thanks guys.

Another channel i would recommend is a small wrestling RUclips channel called "Joseph Montecillo”
Try out Steve and Larson, they have great insights on the past times of wrestling
Don't forget "Reliving the War" series on WrestlingBios!
Really gotta give credit to the person that composes the soundtrack in the background for these shows. Those sounds really make you feel a certain way.
I'm gonna watch AEW for Brian Jr.
I Cried so bad during that scene .
Great episode. Vice put it up on here early then it’s like damn now I have to wait longer for the next one
Love them for that! Thank´s a lot Vice. Specially for us folks who don´t live in the U.S. and have to rely on the Internet to watch it.
Legitimately I remember back when I watched the WWF Brian Pillman promos (he is/was crazy like FOX!!!)
I certainly have much respect for Jim Ross. His words are certainly very true and wise. I pray Brian takes his father's love and intellect for the sport. Except the loose cannon gimmick. As uncle Ben said with great power comes great responsibility.
After seeing this man I really really want Brian Pillman Jr. to succeed seriously. He would have been so much better served to go to NXT and work his way up through there.
18:48 "bank addicted drug robber" 🤑😂😂😂
Someone should start a "Pillman's Gamecube" chant just to get Brian Jr. over.

Not far behind was the Sega genesis, that thing was almost indestructible also. Haha
Do you know what a porky pig is? Get an empty kleenex box, fill it with ground pork, crack an egg inside. Fuck it, then invite all your friends around for a cook out.. Hamburgers for everyone.
AEW would be wise to to capitalize on this episode and push the hell out of Brian Jr. Make him a solo baby face and start using him he's perfect for the tnt title picture
The Von Erich episode has me crying. This one came close.
You're that emotionally unbalanced that you cry over people you don't actually know?
The von Erichs was emotional, was my second fav, Benoit was my first
I made it through the Von Erich episode. Owen was the painful one, I had to stop a few times.
Kim Wood was golden. I loved his line about vince
I let my gf watch it and she doesn’t know much besides my rambling. She loved it! Honestly she went and watched more on him just because. Great work!

What happened with her?
@@-JAVY- she was a valet in the Indy wrestling and tragically died in a car accident in 2009
They didn't mention either of Melanie's daughters
I also wanted to see Terri Runnels on here. Or at the very least mentioned. She dated Brian in 1990 and has interesting stories to tell.
Hearing Jim say Brian’s wife as he vaguely hinted at her “addiction issues” cracked me up. I never realized how her name, “Melanie PILLman”, sounds in context with her “addiction”.
Melanie Pillman =

Meltzer's office was absolutely disgusting and unprofessional. He couldn't have cleaned that up for a damn TV show??!!
It's weird that you care so much.
I love the word 'stickler'. For those who don't know, it comes from the name given to referees in Cornish Wrestling.
Jim is right on this. The 2 part Pillman episode is THE GREATEST episode in all 4 seasons of DSOTR. I love most of the episodes, but the Pillman episode is the one that even got me into learning more about this wild and colorful, beautiful and heartbreaking subculture of pro wrestling. It was always on when I grew up in the 80s and 90s, but I thought of it much like I do NASCAR- garbage entertainment for white trash people who love Moon Pies and RC Cola (I was born and raised in Western Kentucky and I loathed that whole aura).
Anyway, I cannot count how many times I’ve rewatched the Pillman 2 part episode. It is perfect. I want to hear more of the personal shit. It makes these people human. It is important to do that.
I don't understand having any kind of issue with the last 20 minutes being about Brian junior and the other kids. That's as much a part if not more a part of Brian Sr's legacy!.
It's unbelievable how FOS Bischoff still is. Like he can't even see the flaw in his own story? Why would you release a guy under contract for like 250k a year, so you can bring him back later for 400-600k+? Not to mention gifting your opposition a draw card in the process?
I dont know what it is about Bischoff that he has to keep repeating the same lies 20-30 years later. Whats the point? What does he have to gain? Especially when so many others contradict what he's saying. Now, maybe IM WRONG and hes always been Mr. Right. But, I dont think thats the case.
"Bank addicted drug robbers" LMAO.
Jim Cornette really does not like Nick Gage... and kudos for "bank addicted drug robbers."
The part 2 that we saw, 90% was part 1. Overall it was great. Bringing out so many memories. I remember watching all this when it happened. The Loose Cannon idea was brilliant! It's sad that he wouldn't let himself do commentary for 6-8 months to heal. The world revolves with shoulda coulda woulda. I'm proud his sister stepped up and made sure the kids were together at least once a month.
The one thing I was curious to hear about was the last angle Brian Pillman did in the WWF when he got Terri Runnels for 30 days after he beat Goldust. The backstory was Terri and Pillman dated in WCW before Dustin married her so there was that element to it.
Of course, in the middle of the angle Pillman died so I always wondered how the angle would have looked had he not died.
I was a little surprised they didnt even mention Terri. I understand if she was against appearing, but they at least could have mentioned it.
@@erikstorm8935 I also wonder how Pillman felt about that angle because he was married and the angle was quite risque. He even mentioned Dakota once or twice in his promos.
But the double entendres he said were great.
She was supposed to turn on Dustin at some point, likely the Badd Blood PPV.
Ill be super honest, hemp CBD really really did help my lower back pain on the left side where the pain runs down my leg. I.didn't think it would cause I was like CBD? I'd rather have THC! but when I tried CBD, I was super surprised!! Im not affiliated with this show or the hemp CBD they just promoted. It really does work, but then again, everyones body is different.
Where were all his "friends" and people that "loved" him at his funeral or when his kids were being terrorised after he died?
Bruce Hart came to the house ASAP!! He stayed with the family until after the funeral.. I was taking care of the kids.. Jim Hellwig’s Asst. came too.
He saw Melanie in Penthouse and said, "I'm gonna marry that girl".
I bet Ultimate Warrior said the same thing first lol.
I feel sorry for anyone who listened to this RUclips clip with headphones. Almost blew out my speaker, lol.
I swear the season premiere had me chopping onions the whole time 😢
I feel sorry for Melanie pillman the most, it's heartbreaking what she's gone through
After all she put the ex-wife and kids through, it’s karma.
Pillman Jr deserves a huge push and spotlight not because of his dad but because hes putting in the work
"Bank addicted drug robber" - classic...
I wonder why Brian Pillman Jr's other sister Lexi wasn't mentioned. If I had to guess why, it would be maybe because there were already 2 deaths (Brian Pillman and Brittany's mother) in this story and they didn't want to add another tragic young (26) death to an already heartwrenching story. But there is some good in this story. After going through so much pain and struggle, it's good to see Brian's children finding some happiness and light at the end of this dark tunnel.
i saw this comment on reddit there's a good chance the mom was like "I'll talk about anything but this"
I'm glad they didnt talk about Lexi because the focus would've been solely on the mother. Dani looks just like her Dad, and Brittney is beautiful. The mother didnt age well, but I'm glad Brian Jr has put aside the past
What happened with lexi?
@@-JAVY- she overdosed, she was only in her early 20s, this was about 10ish years ago I think

@@brandonizaguirre2963 I’ll take you word for it bro, my mistake. Was certain drugs had something to do with it, must’ve had her confused with another story.
Thank you Jim for sticking to your beliefs as I do in what I believe..... NO MUD SHIT SHOW CRIMINAL WILL BE COVERED HERE.... Thank you.
Kim wood would’ve made a wonderful wrestling manager in the terroities
I genuinely believe Eric Bischoff is being sincere with most of what he says, my memory is generally appalling yet I can remember specific days 25 years ago for some reason, but with the Pillman contract release thing Mark Twains quote was almost specifically created for that incident:
"It's easier to fool someone than to convince them they've been fooled"
Bischoff wasn't fooled. He didn't request the release to go to the WWF. It was an elaborate plan to get what Pillman his "Luger money" in WCW. Pillman's auto wreck messed everything up and WCW wouldn't take the 90 day clause out of his contract. So Pillman was forced to go to the WWF, because the money was guaranteed without the 90 day clause.
This was a great episode of Dark Side, compelling and sad story and Corny did a great job as airways. Gotta say though that Melanie looked like a WRECK.
Oh yea, she looks strung out and you know the camera crews production team had a makeup crew that tried to fix her up some….could you even imagine what she looked like, prior to the makeup crew fixing her up for that interview?
Crazy this has already been 3 years ago
Right with you Jim. Such a good 2 part ep. Also, as kid just north of Charlotte, I am a child of Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling and WCW, you hold such a place in my wrestling heart, like comfort food. Though, back in the day I always wanted you thumped by someone with your own tennis racket. As an adult, I have appreciation for all you brought to us every week.
The Dark Side of The Ring is way better than the WWE Documentaries aka Hulk Hogan Season. Wish Dark Side did the Austin and Piper episodes.
The story of Junior's Stepdad was typical beta male bullshit...I felt bad that he had to bear the brunt of that "man's" insecurity...as a Stepfather myself, it's a tough job to do right...I'm just glad to see their is as close to a happy ending as could be possible...
Hopefully Brian Pillman Jr manages to be as awesome as his late father ...
Has a chance to become even better, time will tell.
He’ll be better
