  • The Skoda Kushaq, by virtue of its name, is claiming to be an emperor. However, the people will only accept it to be one if it can defeat the current king of the segment - the Hyundai Creta. In this comparison, we pitch the Kushaq against the Creta to figure out which one offers more space, practicality and comfort for your family.

Adding into this: GNCAP Crash testing has revealed that chassis of Seltos (and indirectly Creta) is not so stable and scored low 3 stars which is poor for such a costly car. Also in a recent accident Seltos was cut into 2 parts which is scary (you can google it). In general Skoda cars are much stronger and sturdier than Koreans (Kia-Hyundai) and that's why I assume Kushaq should be safer than Creta and Seltos. Creta and Seltos are mainly for city drives and people who believe more in look and features than substance.

I personally think the review is done intentionally to highlight features that aren't actually what they are like described in the video.
    1. Creta has bigger boot which was purposefully degraded. He could have easily arranged the luggages differently to accommodate all the baggages.
    2. Kushaq's back seat width is equal to Creta's which was intentionally criticized, could clearly see the 2 people sitting by the window restricting not to rest their hands on the door's armrest in Kushaq (2:37) vs fully utilizing space on Creta (2:54).
It is very apparent the reviewers did it only to make the video different from others. I have personally seen the Kushaq and it is as equal to that of Creta in shoulder room.
Other reviews so far criticized Kushaq being less taller but it's is clearly seen its equal. I felt the same when I saw in person. It is by very negligible margin less taller (~2cms)
I have booked Kushaq ambition 1.0 TSI. Though it's not as feature rich as Creta, it ticked all of my priorities including safety which is top priority for me. Ambition variant even has connected car feature (though no SIM support) and 10 inch touchscreen which I did not expect from Skoda, it's a surprise for me, I knew this only after booking the car. I am more than satisfied.
If you want feature rich car but can compromise safety then go for Creta
If you want decent needed features and safer car with performance then Kushaq

Hey man, I am glad you have watched the video with such good attention.
The reviews isn't done to highlight or diminish a car or a feature. The sole purpose of us doing this comparision is to highlight which SUV is better in what regard, so that your buying decission is an informed one.
Regarding boot space... In the Creta, the floor area is larger. However, there are two issues.
      A. Because the depth is less, you cannot place suitecase (our standard test luggage) one over the other. The rear parcel tray gets in the way.
      B. Because the boot floor is high, the rear seat backrest intrude more into the boot, pushing larger articles further back. This means you keep them facing the boot as well.
These elements lead to the practical space being limited, leaving a lot of narrow areas free which can only hold much smaller bags or smaller articles.
I won't go into design because this is a Space and practicality comparison. However, it is not only about the size, but the design which makes the Kushaq look sharper, though slightly smaller.
Rear seat. Same three people in both cars, back to back. The difference in space and comfort is stark. Like mentioned, is more to do with the way the seats are countoured than the actual width. If you did find your family and friends more comfortable in the Kushaq, good. That means it works for your family.
If you saw the review and noticed elements that u want to check out before buying a car, then the review has done its job. :)
I wish you the best for your new SUV.. and do share your ownership experience with us.
Again, thanks for watching with such great attention. We love the feedback. Will try and cover these points more in detail in the next one.

@@kaushaldesai5126 may be not that much but also cant get old skoda DNa for creta price. For lower price they will definitely have to cut corners. Most Indian see the prices not Dna. Still a creta competitor by skoda at same price level is commendable and that 1.5l TSI is a delight . Only thing missing is remote car controls.

Which one to buy skoda kushaq suv300 creta venue breeza

Selecting between the Skoda Kushaq, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Hyundai Creta would depend on certain factors such as your budget, features required, preference of the segment, powertrain options, etc. If you want a car for city commutes with good fuel efficiency and a smooth refined engine, you may go for Maruti Vitara Brezza. Vitara Brezza still remains good value for money for an everyday city-centric SUV. The refined petrol engine should make it a better driver as well. If you want better safety, fun to drive car, and rear-seat comfort is not your priority, you may go for Mahindra XUV300 AMT. Mahindra’s XUV300 is easily the brand’s best sub-4 metre SUV yet. It’s got the style and the substance to make your heart want it, but your head might think otherwise looking at the space on offer. If we talk about Hyundai Venue, it packs in a lot in terms of sensible features while throwing in some extra ‘wow’ ones as well. Hyundai has got the basics spot on with the Venue. It’s spacious enough for the urban family, it has a large boot, and it’s offering the right blend of features and quality. The Creta is the more capable SUV here when it comes to seating five. It also offers a better rear-seat experience. Plus, there’s a long list of features, including a few premium ones. Its boot, though smaller with the seats up, is certainly more versatile, particularly because it creates a flat floor. However, when comparing the premium feel inside the cabin and the ride comfort, the Creta isn’t as good as the Kushaq. All in all, if you have a big family and want a feature-loaded SUV, Creta is the better choice. On the other hand, the Kushaq is a better SUV for a family of four (or the quality-conscious buyer). The boot is large, the rear seats are supportive, and the front cabin experience is upmarket as well (of course barring a few not-so-solid elements). And though it misses out on a few premium features, it’ll not leave you wanting. And then there’s the ride comfort, which is really appreciable. All of this put together makes the Kushaq a fantastic urban SUV for a nuclear family. Sure, you will have to compromise on a few areas. For example, the Kushaq looks a size smaller and doesn't have the same presence as the Creta. Also, the rear-seat width and the strong seat bolstering mean it is best used as a 4-seater (instead of five). If you have a smaller family and prioritise build quality over premium features, the Kushaq will make perfect sense. We would suggest you to take a test drive before making the final decision.
