    This Video is so AWESOME!!!
I always wondered what was up with Ribosomal RNA? Like why not just have a 100% Protein-based Ribosomes?
The origin of Ribosomes and their influence on life as we noticed has always fascinated me and i Cannot wait for the many scientific discoveries that will be made in the future.

I was taught that the nucleolus was an organelle. Can you please clarify? Thank you

      It is a sub-organelle

nucleolus is in the nucleus which is an organelle

Great video but perhaps clarify a little more at the end, with the large and small subunit entry into the nucleus.
You said they join up, how exactly? Everything described before that was done beautifully but I would like a little extrra info on the final production of the completed RNA.
    Cheers!

Hi, it says in my book:
The nucleolus is responsible for Ribosomal (rRNA) synthesis and ribosomal assembly. It contains 3 morphological distinct zones:
-Granular Zone : Found at the periphery; contains ribosomal precursor in various stages of assembly.
-Fibrillar Zone : centrally located ;contains ribonucleic protein fibrils.
-Fibrillar center : Contains the DNA that is not being transcribed.
I don't understand the zones, and the importance of each one. Can someone just elaborate and explain. And what is meant by Ribonuclear protein fibrils?
    Great video btw :)

      So its three centers
      (1) Granular Center (2) Dense Fibrillar Center and (3) Fibrillar Center
Fibrillar Center - contains Inactive DNA, this could mean DNA we no longer use anymore, So for example in the DNA for embryo development or the in females there is an inactive X chromosome. if DNA is INACTIVE hence it is NOT TRANSCRIBED.
Dense Fibrillar Center - surronds the the fibrillar centers and this contains the pre-RNA synthetic site
Granular Center - Is the majority region of Nucleolus assemby of ribosomal subunit assembly.

it looks like whoever discovered the nucleus was running out of names. Nucleoli, nucleolus, and nucleus...and no clear explanation of what is what.

is the ribosaml dna an indivduial dna not counted with the normal 46 chromosome?.. or its part of 1 chromosome or what

the voice is so monotonous,& dull,,, lack of enthusiasm.voice of muscle physiology vedio is perfect. i hope u understand the basic fact that if voice is dull evrybody will going to sleep in class. btw vedio is so informative .
