Beware manga spoilers in this video!
    Hello everyone!
Today we've got something a little different - a return to our What If? series, but with a twist! I'll be attempting to rewrite much of Chad's story from the Arrancar Arc right the way through to the end of the series.
While hindsight of course makes everything much easier, we'll be trying to give him bigger, better moments, more fights, and of course, more development. Can it be done? Let's find out!

Chad in the Arrancar Arc - 04:21
    Chad vs Yammy - 10:29
Chad in The Lost Agent - 16:10

So, we're trying something slightly new today - a rewrite of Chad's story! Of course, everything is much easier with the benefit of hindsight but still, what would you change about Chad's involvement in Bleach? Would he get a new power-up? Fight a new enemy? We cover all of that today, so sit back and enjoy - thanks everyone!

Honestly, Chad should have been Ichigo's lieutenant equivalent. That is around his level of power going into huecgo Mundo assult.
It fits with his character introduction and acts as a way he can be parrelleled with Renji throughout the series. Give him threats to face at his level or specific jobs that make sense for him to do during Hueco Mundo. Chad, Renji, Uyru, and Rukia could have been a decent option for facing Yami until his 0 espalda reveal. Even with it a decent fight before his resurrection could have built up everyone.
Thousand Year Blood war needed something for both Uryu and Chad to do. Uryu got rushed at the end and Chad at minimum should have been there for the fight with Yhwach.
The full bringer arc should have had Chad either break out of the book of the end (if taken this route Orihime should have as well) or had Chad fight Ichigo/Ginjo to give him a showing of his strength.

      For new powers
Give him two forms, acting like a final trump card
A giant form that completes his right arm and focuses on defense with long range blast
Then have a devil form completely his left arm focusing on all out attack and power.

Very solid stuff. A few thoughts: I think there'd be something poetic about keeping Rukia out of the fight with Espada 10 Yami and having Chad and Renji fight him together, preferably while reflecting on their training together. That might be too derivative of Renji teaming up with Uryu against Sya though... I love the idea of Chad getting to fight Ginjo after he's stolen Ichigo's Fullbring, especially since the arc establishes how much pride Chad takes in his power and the fact that he's risking it being stolen as well by taking Ginjo on. Even if we know Chad has to lose the fight so Ichigo can get the win in the end, there would have been incredible tension in the question of Chad possibly losing his powers forever and truly being relegated to someone who can never stand by Ichigo's side. There's also a perfect way to get Chad out of the fight so Ichigo can take over: the reveal that Ginjo has a Bankai form. Have Chad get right to the brink of victory only for Ginjo to play that trump card, all hope to seem lost... and then Ichigo regain his Shinigami powers for the final showdown. Perfection!

I like the idea of Chad not being cut by Book of the End and him fighting with Ichigo. However, I think there's a few ways to have Chad be attacked by Book of the End, but still be on Ichigo's side.
Option 1: Chad can block Book of the End. Thanks to his training of 17 months or having a new power up, Chad can defend and block any Fullbring attacks. While this might seen too convenient, there's a few reasons why it would still work. The first is that he can only completely block Fullbring attacks, but not others or mixed. So, when he fights Ginjo alongside Ichigo, Chad tries to block an attack but still gets damaged since Ginjo is using both Fullbring and Shinigami powers. The second is that there's a lot of Bleach fights where a character has a power that is the perfect counter to another overpowered ability, so this does not seem that out of play from a story perspective.
Option 2: Chad is cut by Book of the End. However, thanks to his bond and his resolve to fight alongside Ichigo, he is able to resist and return to Ichigo's side. If Byakuya could resist Book of the End, then Chad, Ichigo's best friend, should be able to do the same. Chad can still see Tsukishima as a friend or the one who replaced his abuelo, but in the end he resists the mind games and fights with Ichigo in the final battle.

Not a fan of these types of videos, but I'll add something too. Chad should've been able to evolve further. He is blessed with a fragment of the soul king while also having undergone awakening due to the hogyoku.

What I genuinely don't understand, is why Kubo felt the need to give Orhihime a power-up, Uryu a MASSIVE power-up, but in Chad's own Arc to not actually do anything to elevate him for the next phase of the story. Chad's Fullbring was a clad-type that manifested because of his affinity with his skin (and associated heritage and history). But Ginjou set a precedent that you can actually have MULTIPLE Fullbring items. His Cross of the Scaffold was the first (his necklace), but he had an *augmented* Cross of the Scaffold by combining his Shinigami Badge with it. From Chad's VERY FIRST backstory he had hyped up his Abuelo's Coin which he wears *LITERALLY* everywhere with him around his neck, and is actually constantly in contact with his skin. How Kubo didn't opt to make this a 2nd Fullbring Item to give Chad SOME kind of powerup, so that he could actually have a feasibly believable role somehow in the final arc is beyond me.

Just gonna throw my two cents in..
That's not multiple Fullbring items, Ginjou upgraded his own Fullbring by, in my opinion, utilizing the way that the Substitute Shinigami badge works (absorbing reiatsu). So he allowed his Cross of Scaffold to merge with not only HIS old reiatsu, but also Ichigo's.
Yes it's augmented, it's upgraded just like the rest of Xcution, but it's not two different Fullbrings.

Hitting the same spot at full power is enough. Yammy fires a Cero at the ice, but this backfires as it’s infused with stun based blinding Kidō. Chad is catapulted by Zabimaru into Yammy from behind. He delivers a deadly hammer strike with both arms to the skull. Byakuya and Kenpachi show up later, feeling like they missed out, but also impressed by their subordinates. Kenpachi wants Chad to be part of Squad 11.

Im under the impression that the Karakura gang was supposed to be the focus of the story, but due to a combination of the editor and the direction of the story Kubo was going with started to not work out w/ the Karakura gang. I believe that each member of the Karakura gang was supposed to represent each realm/race. Ishida was the Quincy, Rukia was the soul reaper, Ichigo was the hollow (he was also all the races combined as the sudo leader of the group.), Tatsuki was part of the beast realm (Kubo wanted to include more of her as we see w/ Grimmjows invasions, and we have concept art of her weilding a beast like weapon), Chad had powers from the Hell realm, and Orihime part of the fairy realm (I cant remember where but Kubo said he wanted to include the fairy realm but he just couldnt fit it in the story. Orihimes abilities always struck me as fairylike). I believe this was Kubos original intentions w/ the story but as he was writing the introductions to the SS he wrote the villains so well that they became so popular the strory started to focus around them leaving the main characters, aside from Ichigo, in the dust. Everything from the names of their powers to even canon scenes like Hachi commenting on Orihimes unique powers that hes seen before (Which i think that it couldve meant he was some sort of ambassador to the fairy realm). Its just my theory that makes a lot of sense to me.

Every theory makes a lot of sense if you allow for having zero evidence. Bleach's Zero Chapter, or pitch chapter you could call it, is available from [certain places] to read. There's zero hint of any of that.

    • @vastos2587
      @vastos2587 27 дней назад +7

@@SinHurr Because using the pilot chapter is sooo much better then using the source material to interoperate clues. Each member of the Karakura gang's power has a similar style and named attacks, which let's not forget how important names are in Bleach, to each race in the universe. Both Orihime and Tatsuki were getting character development for their powers then were suddenly cut from the story> It's most likely due to the editor and/or Kubo giving up on the planned story for a story to sell more copies. It happens a lot in the industry, most notably the DBZ Cell saga. Kubo also likes to hide details into the main story, he likes people rereading and finding out clues that weren't directly told in the story. Things like Shuhei's and Senjumaru's Bankai were first brought into the public by people other then Kubo, but b/c Kubo is really good at writing in between the lines they were almost exactly as he would've wrote them. Where as chapter 0 had a 2 inch Rukia and killed off Orihime. Compared to that I don't think my theory is all that bad, and there's more then "zero evidence" as you say.

So, there's actually more to this specifically with regard to Bleach than some people realize.
See, Kubo is on record that one of the ways he deals with writer's block is by making characters. So whenever he would have issues coming up with something for the story, he'd just make up characters. That's why Bleach's cast is so fuck-huge.
This backfired in ways, though, because as new characters got more popular, there wasn't enough screen time/panel space to go around, and unpopular characters, like Chad, got cut.

That rewrite of Chad's role in the Fullering arc was great! It lets him 1. play a prominent role in an arc that's supposed to be based around him, and 2. shows how strong his bond with Ichigo is, and 3. he's involved in the final fights in this arc.
I always thought Kubo did him dirty by having him being knocked out while the shinigami get to be the ones that do all the cool fights. It's makes it seem like the shinigami are Ichigo's true friends as opposed to his human ones. When talking about the Fullbring arc, I always joke about how Byakuya is a better friend to Ichigo than Chad and Orihime, since he was influenced by Book of the End but still remained loyal to Ichigo.

    • @gorade1901
      @gorade1901 26 дней назад +1

I know *why* the Shinigami play a big part in the end, I know Kugo's desire for revenge would naturally involve them, and I know Kugo's big reveal to Ichigo hinders on his relationship with them, but Ichigo has so many allies in the living world that got snubbed by this and it never sat right with me.
His human friends, Isshin and to a much lesser extent Ryuken, the Vizards who stayed behind, I'll even take Kisuke and Yoruichi again if it meant Tessai got an actual fight, so many allies that could've taken center stage in a living world conflict that get shoved to the backstage again.
Funnily enough, Chad losing to the Shinigami along with Uryu so early into the Soul Society arc is the start of this problem. The old cast was quickly put down to focus on the new cast members, the Shinigami, but then new factions we're added (the Vizards especially) and the focus was, still mostly on the Shinigami. I'm not saying I dislike the Shinigami, it's just a shame to see all the deliberate choices made to always give them top billing.
A lot of people argue Chad's role couldn't have been much bigger, that he's just a normal human Fullbringer. He just doesn't have the genes or the God given abilities some of the cast have to scale him fast enough to those who've trained for centuries. Not to be captain obvious, but that's all just how Kubo chose to write it. Before Ichigo's heritage was explained, he too, to us, was just a normal human who happened to have a lot of reiatsu, and his powers were either gifted to him or gained through very special training and the complications therein (partially hollowfying and then having the hollow mask thereafter).
Eugenics never had to be the narrative crutch to explain Ichigo's powers, other explanations that didn't literally make Ichigo a different breed could've been given, and it can be easily argued that Chad was *never* a normal human in the first place with how insanely unrealistically strong he always was. He always could've been given a power other than strength, Orihime's special healing always gave her at least something unique to do even just in the background, and nothing in theory ever stopped him from getting a stupidly busted ability. Tsukushima proves how possible and viable that could've been for Chad.
Kubo just didn't want to. I'd argue those interests started showing as soon as he lost to Shunsui. Having Ichigo's closest allies scale up alongside him through the Seireitei and fall later on was just as much of a natural thing to do, but he lost to prop up the characters that would replace his prominence, and he would never get it back. I like much of the character work we got as a result, it's just a shame to see who died on the cross to make some of it happen, when it didn't have to be that way.

maybe with his coin or medallion to complement his fullbring, he'd've the armor he should've (we all wanted that fanart to be canon), and with the bankai, he'd've a golden winged armor like dian's, but MANLY, ¡MUY MACHO!, like a golden cloth, and it would reinforce his bond with ichigo, he'd be giveb ichigo's power not really realizing he was being used against him, to harm him, but now he had it and was going to use it save his friend because now more than before he feels he is in a debt to him

I can see the Tien comparison, in that Krillin got left behind because like Gohan he started to lapse in his training. And Krillin was like, still emotionally worthwhile and somewhat of a tactical fighter to make up for his lack of power. Krillin is more to buy time for his stronger fellows.
Meanwhile Tien is someone who never stopped training and trying to get stronger but STILL gets constantly left behind. Tien was initially such a force to be reckoned with that he defeated Goku in combat because of superior martial arts skill, a plethora of techniques, excellent conditioning and a killer instinct. But then later on Tien was so worthless that all he did was immediately get his ass handed to him by any opponent. And whereas Krillin got his “storybook ending” of sorts by gaining a wife and child and recognition for who he is as a person, Tien is basically always just dangling on the side doing nothing and being no one until a butt monkey is needed. At least Yamaha had the sense enough to retire and be a “regular” person, where he could actually stand out as an extraordinary person.

Uryu, Rukia and Renji can just finish him off afterwards. (They can offscreen him because honestly who cares about Yammy?)
And it should have been him to get his arm torn off by Ulquiorra and stabbed by Hollow Ichigo.
There would have been nothing more horrific than Ulquiorra ripping off the power up he just got and Ichigo turning on his best friend. (Also him surviving all of that would just show how durable he is.😂)

Sure if you take it at face value, fighting to earn money, then it comes across that way, but there are real fighters out there who do good with the money they earn, and many become athletes who inspire people (Dempsey, Ali, Tyson, Holyfield, etc). Thank you so much for doing this video! Chad is one of my favorite characters, and to say he was "Done Dirty" is the understatement of the year.
In the beginning, Chad fills the role of Ichigo's right-hand man. Because of their close bond, I think this is the reason why his Fullbring appears the way it does (you can't tell me it's a casual coincidence that his left arm is black and white with a red shriek, the same as Ichigo's shinigami form. He uses it the same as Ichigo's Zangetsu, both as a shield and a weapon closing with a large reishi burst, similar to Ichigo's Getsuga Tenshou, finally, not only do both his arms transform in a way similar to a shikai and bankai, but his white right arm of devil feels strangely reminiscent of Ichigo's hollow, White.)
Later in the Soul society arc, I think it was mentioned that Chad was operating on the same level as a mid to upper level lieutenant.
In Hueco Mundo arc, he naturally tapes into his greater Fullbring abilities (the jumping and air walking) , but we barely get to see him use them.
Finally, in the Lost Agent arc, not only is he barely there, but it feels like the other Fullbringers don't even take their own powers seriously.
Also, one more thing I found "odd" was that his translation item is his arms and not his abuelo's pendent. No other Fullbringers item is a part of their own body. I always thought his arms should transform because of the pendent because his abuelo was the one who convinced him to only use his arms to protect others.

This would give him a power up and you could show him giving relatively strong characters (maybe even an Ichigo who's trying not to kill him) a good fight.
Eventually he's able to regain control because that's what strong willed shonnen characters do, while also keeping his new powers and using them to help his friends.

    |Un baile con el diablo?
    「浮かぶ瀬!」
    Chapter 7, because "luck."
"No Challenge Unanswered" is twofold. 1.) Is that it is the polar opposite of Chad's almost resigned disposition to his current standing in Ichigo's circle of friends, and perceptions of his own powers/abilities. 2.) Is the title being a callback to Kubo's comment that Chad's theme song was "No Song Unheard" by the Hellacopters.
The subtext is pretty self-explanatory, with "Un baile con el diablo?" referring to Chad's possible new/improved use of hos Left
Arm (Brazo Izquierda del Diablo) that the chapter will explore with the reader.
And「浮かぶ瀬!」(ウガブセ/u-ga-bu-se) which is a Japanese saying, similar to that of "lucky break." It plays off of the number of the Chapter (7).
The Spanish subtext implies he'll be using something that's been a mainstay of an arsenal which Chad may have previously seen as "Not good enough." Rising to the challenge (No Challenge Unanswered) and applying himself in a way that he thought was impossible for him. But, the fact that it thematically rhymes with his theme song "No Song Unheard" shows demonstrates that he could take this Chapter as an opportunity to flip the script on his lot in life, and regain his lost confidence through learning how to apply himself--awakening potential that was always there.
Chad needs some love. He's pretty much the Tien/Yamcha of Bleach.

Have you heard of the worf effect? Its when a character is really really strong, but ALWAYS loses to show how powerful an enemy is, so that a main, more important character can beat them later to show how strong THEY are.
Chad, Renji until TYBW, Komamura, many many others. They are strong, but there's a problem: the show is about Ichigo, Zaraki, Uryu and the like. Chad got done dirty.

Even Uryu never got much to do in battles. He was defeated by the Espada Mayuri beat (I'm not going to try writing his name). And even in his arc in the manga, he didn't get a proper fight.

But then if the characters only ever lose, then what proof is there that they are really even strong aside from word of mouth? If a character only ever loses to hype up an enemy, then they aren’t strong because they never win.

If Yammy comes back in the Hell arc, Chad needs to take care of him to end the cycle. It won't fix his character and is a bit of "too little, too late" but at least gives him some closure against the enemy that started his decline.

An idea for Chad's 'Final Form'. Lean on the idea that Fullbringers are *Awakened* by Hollow spiritual energy. By involving Chad more in the Aarancar arc- he sees how far and how powerful Hollows can be- and considered that his arms are hollow like.
In the Xcution arc, even before we meet execution, show Chad meditating and focusing, his arms present even as he focuses on his hollow energy.
His final form- the theoretical max of a Fullbringer- is that he mimics Hollows. By forming a mask [+armor], growing from his necklace and channeling his grandfathers 'will'.
"Masque of the Saint". Perhaps even with 2 stripes, like ichigos origional mask. Perhaps a mask that looks like an old man or a priest.
Give him the abilities of the espada- cero, Bala, hierro, sonido.
In the 1kyrbw, let Chad exploit the quincy weakness of hollow reatsu. Chad is perhaps able to disrupt sternritter powers.

Chad should have gain an even bigger power up because his powers are related to Hollows and go even beyond that: *he should have eaten a part of an Espada to get stronger* as a last resort to protect Orihime. Imagine eating a defeated or weakened Espada in Evangelion style. I would avoid a personality split or fighting an inner demon (Ichigo already has it and the trope is overused) but there should be some negative implications of this act: addiction. Perhaps at some point he would have to stay in Hueco Mundo creating a relation with Harribel or Neliel and wanting to protect the new group. There should be a power fight in Hueco Mundo after the defeat of Aizen and the Espada. Later on he would have an upper hand against Quincies - they are weaker against hallow powers. Heck he could have been helpful with the fight against Yhwach because of that disrupting his powers for a second. There could be a second siltation where he could eat one of the parts of the Sterrnritter (those that had a part of the Soul King), but he would refuse to do it being afraid for his sanity and learning that he should step back and trust in Ichigo.

I have no complaints about the rewrite of the Arrancar arc, I've always said that's what they should have done. But come the Fullbring arc, one change that I would make to your version is that Chad IS still cut by Tsukishima, even used by them to fight Ichigo and the others. Except, his extremely close bond to Ichigo has him fighting Book of the End the whole time. Similarly to the original, Tsukishima doubles down on his control, which has the same sort of effect on Chad and Orihime. The big difference being, Chad is SO insensed by what they did and so overwhelmed by his love for his bestie that THIS is the point where his Fullbring evolves and he gets his big power-up. Byakuya managed to use his loyalty to Ichigo to overpower Book of the End, so it's frankly ridiculous that Chad couldn't do the same. He can then be the one to fight Tsukishima, giving him a round two and allowing him to get revenge on the manipulative swordsman.
Also, as an aside, Chad can still be a championship boxer in the epilogue, but lean into his character arc to explain it better. He learned to use his strength to help others, so maybe he runs a gym for the less fortunate and uses his fight money for charity?

I've always wanted him to have more impactful screentime, and when i was younger, during my First watch of the fullbring arc, i was so let down about the fact he didn't get what he deserved, that i really thought someone behind bleach writing really hated him. Such a shame for a so cool looking character. Also, goated name

People still don't believe it, but Chad's moment will come one day. Rukia-Renji had the Soul Society arc, Orihime the Arrancar arc, cousin Tsukishima the Lost Agent arc, while Uryu is being more protagonized (antagonized) in TYBW (anime). The Hell arc will be dedicate to him, where we will discover that Chad in reality is the son of El Diablo, counterpart of the Soul King🗿
Great video anyway. Ignoring that part with D-Roy, yeah, Kyoraku and Nnoitra were too much, also the 5th Espada was a bad matchup, having the strongest body, not even a damage, immediately after getting his only W in the arc. Have Rukia, Renji and Chad defeating Yammi as 10th Espada, in what had become the captain show, would have been great and deserved, as Byakuya and Zaraki already had their moment, also that of Zero Espada was just a bad joke ended offscreen. Renji and Rukia then get some fanservice PU in TYBW and a litte win against a Sternritter, but Chad (also Orihime) not even that. Still the list of characters bad handled in the final arc is too long and Chad isn't at top of that. The Lost Agent arc is fine like that for me, but at least give a fight, even if losing, in TYBW, was the minimum. Chad vs Meninas would have been cool, but she's just one of the many Sternritters trashed. Now at most we can hope to see a little group fight against the Schutzstaffel, or the battle with statues onscreen, as I don't think Chad will be placed against Gerard too. Hell arc is open, but... too many characters to handle, again.

I really like your re-write here. Yammy goes down unceremoniously, so it wouldn't have taken much just to add Chad, Rukia, and Renji to the fight. Switching him and Uryu in the Lost Agent arc also feels pretty natural. I'd have to think more on the TYBW, but he should have gotten at least ONE proper fight. If not a Sternritter, then at least with Ichigo and Orihime fighting Ywhach at the end.

My idea for Chad's Power up is a golden suit of armour, while his arms are also golden, but keep their original designs. At first it doesn't seem to increase his power, but the enemies discover that he has an insanely aggressive regeneration ability that helps Chad keep fighting indefinitely. Its name is Dios de la Muerte, the God of Death

    Cool scenario!
Alternatively, in the ending chapters of Lost Shinigami-arc, Chad could be hit by Book of the End, but then have like a flash back to when he was a child and his abuelo was still alive. Chad was sad because a new kid entered the friend-group of local children and everybody liked him better than Chad or sth. Abuelo teaches Chad that friends who abandon you the moment somebody more attrtactive shows up, are not worth calling your friends. Remembering this makes Chad "snap out of" Book of the End and remember his bond with Ichigo.
Btw, when I first watched Bleach, I waited for Abuelo to show up in some form as the sort of third "parent-mentor". I thought he could have become a Hollow and then an Arrancar, or something

Chad really should've gotten payback on Yammy and fight alongside Kenpachi & Byakuya. It couldve been implied that Byakuya mentioned something about one of Ichigo's friends stepping in. It would've been minor but the idea of him finally beating the Espada that completely demolished him at the beginning of the Arrancar.

About his career by the end of the series, i think he wouldn't use his strength for pure profit, but he wouldn't ignore it, he'd want to use it to help others.
Being a firefighter seems like a good fit, especially focusing on rescuing people. He'd be able to save people from way riskier situations with his abilities.

So, I wrote this on your Chad Character Analysis from 2 years ago, but I think it still stands.
How to improve Chad in the Arrancar Arc. (Keep everything that happens before Hueco Mundo).
    1) When fighting Demoura make bigger note of Chad's increased strength. After switching with Uryu, Chad casually tosses the giant across the room, and ends him quickly.
    2) Then we follow up on this with Gatenbainne. Chad can hit him hard, but is taking too much damage. Then he unlocks the full version of his right arm, tanking Gantenbainne's strongest attack and laying down a decisive counter, ending it.
    3) Have Chad wander for a bit before meeting up with Nnoitra. Have him fight Tesla, pretty evenly, even though he's clearly showing signs of fatigue from the previous fight, before Nnoitra blind-sides him to end it. Nnoitra makes some comment about the only thing that saved him was that right arm.
    4) Have Chad fight Yami and win. Chad's the only one able to tank a hit from Yami, but lacks the strength to deliver a final blow. Have him internally wrestling with the concept that he should only use his strength to defend, but sees Rukia and Renji getting wrecked. Finally, he decides that he can't just be the gentle giant, he has to be a devil too, unlocking his left arm and finishing off Yami with La Muerte. Also give the attack some knock-out level recoil damage, that way he has something to work on in the future.

@@oyamampendu9467 I'm not saying Yamcha fought Nappa, I'm saying that Kubo made multiple scenes direct homages to ones from DBZ. Ulquiorra and Yammy arriving in Karakura is like Vegeta and Nappa arriving on earth.

  • @rmeddy
    @rmeddy 27 дней назад +3

Yeah I always felt Kubo should've leaned into the hollow stuff with him more directly.
When the Arrancar first showed up I thought the design language matched up like when Ichigo was in his monster form one of his arms looked like one of Chad's arms
Urahara said Chad was something else and he said he felt closer to a hollow than anything and he was pulling reiryouku from the sand.
My old rewrite way back when had it that he was a vasto lorde strength wise akin to Stark that somehow purified himself but he was reborn to the human world straight from Hueco Mundo,
and I'll have Aizen or maybe Urahara explain how this is possible, it's to do with Chad ability to pull from the hollow sand and it has remnants of both shinigami and hollow reiryoku so his main ability is he can pull from the sand and use the extra power in different ways, like a super strong cero or something, so if he's in Hueco Mundo he's effectively immortal
and yeah he would have full body armor that he get's over time, and with training he can use a la carte in terms strengthen a piece by sacrificing another piece, so say he gives up the rest for extra speed in his legs or extra defense in his right arm or give his left arm a stronger attack etc , with training he get more versatile with
I would have him show up in the fight with Ulquiorra with a new pair of legs and keep Ulquiorra for a little while Ichigo was "dead" he later takes out Yammy with a blast
I would have be the one to free Ichigo from Quilge's jail
The fight with Sternritter would have him on the ropes like the Bambis, but maybe Urahara gives him a portable garganta device to dump a bunch of hueco mundo sand on the battlefield giving him a boost for the fight.
Sidenote: the ethics of Chad boxing with humans is hilarious like seriously he has to be really holding back like Spiderman or something. Chad tanked a steel I beam falling on him in the beginning of the manga.
