I’m a southern girl with a northern preference. And we’ve chatted before, it’s The Wynn. After 38 yrs of going to LV and doing it all there comes a time when you even need to settle down with the craziness LV has to offer. You become a part of the family, get recognized by the staff, and feel like you’re home. I’m sure it’s that way with lots of properties. But in my humble opinion, if you’re a “bit older”🙄 you want to stay where you know your safe, have established a profile, and know exactly how many steps it is over the skywalk to The Fashion Show Mall!😂. Love Love Love your content Dave and Sonja♥️
Couldn't agree more! We have our faves and that side of the strip is growing very quickly on us! The Wynn is definitely top 3 stays in Vegas for us! Same about being a southern girl with a northern preference 😉 Thanks so much for your support!
Always great to see one of your video's drop. I am a South fan, purely from a gambling point of view. I would never not go to Mid, North, to walk, look, enjoy but when it comes to midnight I want to be gambling till I fall asleep down the South end.
Hey Stu! Totally get that! You know want you like! That's what great about Vegas. For so many years, we would never have thought of staying away from center strip. But now, we are laying roots back over at the North End 😂
Thanks for a great review. I heartily agree with your assessments. I've stayed at both ends of the strip, as well as center strip. Each stay for me now is based on what type of trip I'm taking. If it's a low-roller trip...definitely the south end. For those special trips with my wife, north wins out every time. Keep up the good work and the enjoyable vlogs!
Love this format! Although I think Resorts World is great, Mandalay Bay is my first real love. The interior of the rooms for Mandalay are much nicer than Delano and the service I receive there is just unmatched. You should do this comparison again with the pools open, that’s where Mandalay really shines haha.
Delano for the “WIN”! No “soaking” tub in Resorts World. Slot machines are too tight AND must be loosened otherwise, it’s no longer going through your bankroll in 20 minutes
We’re booked for MGM Grand, Crockfords, and Park MGM in July, so we’re excited to experience N, S, and Mid strip in one go! Thanks for the insight, especially for Resorts World! It’ll be our first time staying at that property and North strip.
Love the Podcast style! We LOVE both ends of the strip! We are trying to stay at Resorts World soon! You have helped inspire us Old Folks to start our own VLOG! Keep up the great work content!!
Great video and thank you for sharing your experiences! We haven’t stayed that far south as the Delano, so we really appreciated the content. We have stayed at Resorts World and really liked the property, however we found that due to the location, the amount of walking was a drawback. One of the things we enjoy is exploring multiple casinos when we are in Las Vegas. I agree 100% with your conclusion Sonia, that it’s really up to individual preference. Our current favorite place to stay is Park MGM, based on the location and easy walking access to everything we enjoy on the south to mid-strip area. The beauty of that location is we can always just walk across to MGM Grand and catch the monorail to Sahara and then work our way back if we want to see the north end. We hope to see you again in Vegas and would love to grab a drink or group pull next time.
Hey Mark and Heather! You are spot on with Park MGM and Nomad! We love the location and the ease of access to multiple properties. We’re looking forward to the next time we’re in Vegas together and this time we’ll definitely visit a speak easy to have a cocktail! 🥂🎰❤️
Hi there! One thing I don’t think I heard mentioned was how easy it was to uber or taxi from RW to downtown. I’ve stayed at both properties mentioned and give the edge to RW. Appreciate the tip on the room comp match with MGM from a previous episode. Cheers!
Lots of good information, I visited the Palms 2 weeks ago for the 1st time in 15 years ( vegas) I entered on Friday and didn’t see outside until I left Monday LOL Green light maintained ❤on Paloma and keno YES 👍🏽 👍🏽
I also love center strip. I still have not been to RW and FB is on my list to go see. I do like Mandalay but being at the total end of strip makes it harder. Also, I did NOT know you had a podcast! 😳 But I am following it now! Can't wait to listen!
Loved the breakdown, especially since we’ve stayed at both and generally agree with all your results. I’m not a RW casino fan, however Jennie loves it… Crystal bar though is unparalleled. One note to make though, even if you book a Genting Rewards Comp stay, it still shows in the Hilton app if you’re a member and you can totally check in online. 🥃🥃
Happy Friday dave sonia and aiden cheers i was having unsweetened green tea while watching your reviews very informative ty very much for doing this for all of us have a fabulous Easter and weekend sending lots of support hugs and ❤ i hope we can met in the future and have a good time either Texas Vegas or east coast 😊❤ go browns 4 life
Another great video guys! I am not opposed to the South Strip at all, but the North end has found a special place in my heart. There's something I like about spending time on the bustling Strip, but then being able to retreat to a bit more mellow feel of a resort on the North Strip. It's probably an age thing 😂
I stayed at Resorts World for the rock n roll Las Vegas half marathon. I got a huge discount on my room for doing the race, so I went with the Conrad. It was clean and modern, just like the whole resort. The bed was very comfortable also and the view was nice. I agree with everything you said. It was also very quiet so I slept well. The expo for the race was also held there. Little tip for anyone doing the race - discount, expo and shuttle bus to race (not back though, the walk was brutal). I also have a buddy who lives in the Arts District, and I rented a car so it was a quick drive to pick him up. So anyone considering checking that area out might like Resorts World. I ended up walking to Encore and stopped into the Mall that was right there and a nearby bar. It really didn’t feel like too far of a walk. It only took about 20 minutes to walk I think. It Actually was kinda pleasant, seeing as it was late February. Also I went to a lounge that blasted music right next to their nightclub which was a nice alternative to dressing up and waiting in line to get into an expensive drink club. I wanted something more North but semi close to the strip and Resorts World worked. I feel like maybe Wynn might be better for next year? Renting a car definitely helps (when your sober). The downfall to Resorts World is it was tough to understand the layout at first for me, seeing as it’s three hotels in one casino. I spent my first night and morning a bit confused. I kept going to the wrong elevator and the wrong parking garage.
Hi D&S - well, Curtis & I are "North" - we disagreed with you on one main point - the room. Delano wins for us hands down compared to RW Hilton (I stayed at an identical room at the Hilton and I was not impressed at all). We LOVE that there is a separate living room area so if someone gets up early, they don't disturb the one still sleeping. I disagree with you on casino choice - I love darker casinos and that the slots are more spread out - RW is like being in a mall (my opinion). LOVED your conclusion (without giving any spoilers) - fun video, very engaging. Cheers guys!!!! 😎🍻
U guys did a great job comparing the 2 hotels! Fun and informative video :)! Oh, and gooo Chiefs! Lol. Every year, I kick myself in the butt for not betting on my team!
Thanks! Yeah you definitely should have placed that bet...and early on if possible! Dave always forgets to do sport betting when we are there but always wants to 🤷♀️
We are at Delano now (trip with kids) and while the size of the room is great (2 bedroom suite) it is in severe need of a remodel. Gambling has been brutal and I haven’t seen any handpays! No late night food options besides the food court. My favorite is Nomad! The Park area just feels like home to me!
We went to the RW center bar on your suggestion and had a lousy experience. Nobody there except another couple. Bartender was chatting it up with them and ignored us for the longest. Then went past us to chat it up with a server. Finally came over we ordered drinks and she proceeded to chastise my husband for not having his players card in (he forgot) and that I wasn't betting max. I had literally just changed games and didn't realize. Very off putting. We tipped her and left once our funds ran out (never offered another).
What a terrible experience. So sorry to hear about that because we haven’t any issues there. That would definitely be off putting and I would not want to return either 😏
@@DaverrasonTravels our favorite VP poker bar is on the 2nd floor of Circa (maybe not a 'center' bar). They make excellent cocktails with a flourish and very personable. On the strip, we have had many good times at Sully's in the Horseshoe, but that's more old school.
Noticed you were in the stay well room. Next time try a regular delano room me and my girlfriend find that mattress 20x better than the stay well which is hard
It’s always mimosa time!! 🥂OK wait…. Vomit?! Just no. Thanks for such a fun video!! Love the bloopers 😂 . We are probably more north strip these days. #boujiey’all
Hi!!!! Love your videos. Keep up the good work!!!! You make me want to try a Hibiscus Paloma and I don't even drink. When we go Vegas in June I am trying one!!!! I have a question.....what is the word y'all use and what does it mean????? Deejus????? Don't know how to spell or exactly what y'all are actually saying? Please don't leave me hanging. I'm really curious and dying to know. 😂
lol! We use the word “degen” which is short for a degenerate gambler 😆 We use it for someone who goes big and throws logic out the window when gambling. lol Thanks so much for the kind words and the support! Hope you have a blast in June!
Huge knock for us with Resorts World is it’s a stand alone property, we like to casino hop. And our experience is the casino floor was Tight, drink service non-existent. Mulberry pizza is 🔥 though.
Good call, it is a standalone property. We’re just like you guys and like to casino hop to get the most out of Vegas! Do you all think with FB now open and WynnCore across the street that helps?
Not really. It comes down to spreading your money too thin to multiple players cards. We are going to give FB a solid days play in a couple weeks and see what it generates though.
Love watching you!! Please invest in a microphone that clips on you, many u- tubers have a microphone. This cuts down on background noise and we can hear you much better. Thanks! You are both so enjoyable to watch!!

Delano for the “WIN”! No “soaking” tub in Resorts World.

Thats true in the room we had at RW!
Loved the whole post but couldn't agree more about the Centre bar at Resorts World. One of if not THE best center bar in the strip.
YES!! We love it there!

I adore you both, my husband and I want to go back to Vagas so bad! Thanks for letting us into your world.
Such a sweet comment! Thank you so much ❤️
Yes... book that trip!
Play the local casinos for the win!!

Yes, Crystal bar is probably the best in Vegas for ‘premium’ comped drinks while playing! Good to know about the Hilton app too!!
No doubt, resorts world is fantastic. We love Mgm, but love resorts world too.

Btw I used mobile check in while at conrad

LOL! Yes, that cabinet under the wet bar 😳
Good call on being closer to Arts and DT, definitely a better value there!
This just sounds like a battle between two properties instead of what this video was designed to do. Has nothing to do with north south strip
We appreciate you watching!
@DaverrasonTravels I like your videos and appreciate the hard work you guys do
Thanks 😊
neither, u stay center strip..Planet hollywood is best if ur on a budget.bellagio if ur rich
lol, yes agree. We always recommend planet holleywood for a good budget friendly hotel because of its location!
