This is a total slap in the face to Jim Hinson & the whole Hinson family! MuppetVision 3D was Jim's last actual project that he worked on before he unexpectantly passed away, Disney knows this. Frankly Disney doesn't treat The Muppets properly, & many Muppets fans feel the same way!!!!
The modern Disney could not care less about their own history or anything else, unfortunately, and they've been demonstrating lately how dumb they really are. At this rate Disney is quickly going to go bankrupt. While younger people have insisted online, "No they won't, Disney almost went bankrupt before in the eighties..." but that isn't the problem. Back then, Disney still had a thoroughly wholesome image that kept the company beloved and parents everywhere wanting to protect it. Today, the exact opposite is true. Now you have parents rooting for it to burn down, and it's going to be much, much harder to save the company after all the good will it squandered.
Absolutely boneheaded decision by Disney. Muppet Vision was a great show, and there was no reason to replace it when there are other areas of the park that don't currently have anything going on.
i'm gonna miss the show as well, but i honestly will prefer a muppet ride over a muppet show.. and the only other place they could've built the land would be animation courtyard, and if they put it where animation courtyard is, they would have to close two shows, a popular restaurant, and about a dozen character meet and greets opposed to, i hate to say it, two meh restaurants and a show
Won’t happen but something that would be cool. There’s a museum/exhibition called the Birthplace of Kermit the Frog Museum at Henson’s hometown of Leland, Mississippi. I think a genuinely cool gesture from Imagineering would be to move Muppet*Vision to a permanent location at Leland. Even if there isn’t space near the museum, they can still be connected as a duel experience in some way. Ideally, it would be supported by the people of Leland, or even the Henson estate. Having Henson’s final major project be preserved in the town he grew up in would be a fantastic to his legacy. But again, massive pipe dream
That shouldn't be considered far-fetched, that should actually be a no brainer. Unfortunately Disney doesn't show respect for deceased people, not even their own creator is respected anymore.
I was thinking that too. It would be neat to have it connected to the museum it’d be fitting in Jim Henson’s museum, and you wouldn’t have to to pay disney’s prices to go see it
I have always thought that muppet vision was a masterpiece and I loved the feel of the area more than Toy Story land and galaxy’s edge. Will miss it all but all good things must come to an end😢 Goodbye Muppett Vision You will be missed
Do you think they could move Muppet Vision into the Magic Eye Theater in the Imagination Pavilion? The theater already has all of the same effects and more. Remember the floor moving and the mice running between your legs? Those could be added to the show during the explosion. I think Kermit and Figment could be good friends.
Its a sob story that they didn't choose animation courtyardfor the new monsters inc land . But at least they still are keeping the muppets instead of completely getting rid of them.
At least imagine animation courtyard has kids stuff to do I don't know whether Muppets 3D was ever all that kid friendly you comparison but I bet there's a bunch of parents here that would help me down if I said it wasn't
@sky0kast0 Wait a second, I just thought of something. Maybe Disney could make the aerosmith rock n roller coaster area become the new muppet courtyard area.
Disney knew that Muppet Vision was Jim Henson’s last hurrah into the muppet world before he died, yet they still decide to remove it all for a damn retheme.
Yet launch bay and little mermaid and Disney jr dance party stays?! Are you kidding me?! Just because DFB thinks it’s bad pizza doesn’t mean it is! It’s all my kids will eat at Hollywood!
tbf animation courtyard is one of the only places in the park with lots of things for kids to do, and i guarantee we would get the same amount of backlash closing everything back there opposed to two meh restaurants and the muppets moving
@lukesart I'd agree with you if Disney hadn't been chipping away at that area for years now at this point. The Disney Junior live area used to be this really cute puppet show scene, but due to Disney not wanting to pay the puppeteer union fair wages, it's now this soft meet and greet dance party that hardly ever gets a lot of people. I've heard the main factor behind all this is just behind Animation Courtyard, there are a bunch of corporate offices they still use from when the space was still an Animation Studio and they do not want to give that space up. Which I find ridiculous
Honestly am I the only one kinda happy about this? It was time to move on from Muppetvision and all we want is new big budget attractions for years now, let’s be happy Disney is finally doing something. I’m hyped for the new monsters inc land!
Wonder if they just released it out on Blue Ray, Disney Plus or something. Lot of people these days have 3d capable TV's in their home. No reason to keep stuff like this to being just an attraction. Can Disney Plus play 3d versions of movies?
I don't think enough people own 3D TVs, in all honesty. Regardless, while the 3D is a part of it, what I will really miss is the animatronics and effects outside of the screen. That can be recreated through VR, maybe (I've heard the Apple Vision Pro suggestions) but a very small amount of people own that too. The most accessible option would be Disney+ on a standard screen but it won't capture the same magic imo
@@hellomerio 3d Tv's were all the rage for a few years, till people realized how bad most those movies/shows were. Only a few animated movies turned out half way decent imo. I never tried to get one, but it just came as standard with a TV I got one year. Despite being 3d enabled it cost like $300 for a 47 inch tv lol.
If we convince Disney to move Muppet Vision to another theater on the property, it will not be over as it was Jim Henson's last project before his death and we should preserve it
You suck disney that your killing off disney animal kingdom that your closing the disney dinosaur movie ride in the mid of 2025 and more sad disney your also taking away the thunder mountain railroad ride in 2025 to make room for that stupid disney cars land and ride for the park and same thing for splash mountain rest in peace since princess and the frog ride bad move disney we all like these old rides and make new rides disney sucks 😢
I have heard that model for the door coaster is no longer the plan and it could actually end up being a lot better than originally thought

Goodbye Muppett Vision
You will be missed
I heard from somewhere that they’re planning to preserve the film

Sorry to hear that!
I say, Disney, just leave that attraction alone for Jim Henson’s legacy!

The Muppets theatre is most empty most days and now everyone is sorry to see it go. It’s time to go.
Don't take away our Beloved Muppets It is our chilhood and adulthood Good times pkease keep it around keep the legacy going
We will not rest until Disney finds somehow to keep the muppet theater. I don't care if it muppet vision gets relocated.
Hold on , maybe the area that has the aerosmith rock n roller coaster becomes the new muppet courtyard.
I’m gonna cry

Animation, Courtyard muppets 3 d version
star wars land took over the area where power rangers was back in the day and stunt show to
Well DCA version closed a decade back so makes some sense
I think they should put muppets 3d with the old cars
The only reason this is acceptable in any way is that they’re still gonna be preserving the film.

You realize this is a hoax and Muppet Vision is not closing? There is no Monstropolis coming at all. I know because I have a Time Machine.
Everything that Disney is changing is controversial my friend. 😢😮😊
It's so lazy there killing Jim Henson's last work for a easy retheme
Things have to evolve and change.....another load of negativity in the comments 🙄

Rockin roller coaster being rethemed to the muppets is lazy as hell
I would prefer another band or movie.
I prefer it stay as is. The Aerosmith guitar and Limousin were iconic
I personally don’t care
I love the muppets but we have Disney plus now and I would love new things
Muppet vision deserves to go
