Once again, Disney underestimates and underappreciates Muppet fans. I'm hoping that maybe the Center for Puppetry Arts will offer to set up and house it there, because it is more than the movie that needs to be preserved.
I was thinking the same about the center for puppetry arts in Atlanta. I think it would be wonderful for them to have it set up there and they already have the theater space and the dedicated wing for Jim Henson so it makes perfect sense.
I really hope that they incorporate physical muppets into the new muppets area somehow. Idk if they do it anymore, but Disney used to do a little muppets show called “great moments in history” over by hall of presidents. I hope they do something like that by rockin roller coaster, it would add so much to the ambience, especially for people who can’t/don’t want to ride the roller coaster.
They don't do it anymore; unfortunately the trend for Disney in the past few years has been to cut as much live entertainment as possible because they don't want to pay unionized performers
Rest in peace to muppet vision. You were and forever will be loved, l just hope they keep the Statler and Waldorf animatronics and have them heckle the riders at the launch
Muppets 3D on Disney+ would not have the same effect as the show in the theater because there are characters involved in the physical space that directly affect the plot of the show. The only way they do it on Disney+ that would be remotely acceptable is reshooting those scenes/changing the plot for it to make sense. The show's plot is directly tied to it being in a theater.
it’s simple, really-move monsters inc. laugh floor to the muppetvision theater, shift muppetvision over to the lightning mcqueen theater, and boom, tomorrowland gets two new attractions. and hey, maybe-just maybe-they could actually be about tomorrow or, i don’t know, the future for once.
So, uh, we’re not going to talk about that very unfortunately placed button on the kermit shirt? (I wish they’d move Muppets 3D back to DCA. Fantasmic looks terrible there.)
I like the Muppets for the Rock N Roller Coaster. I do not like the show going away, which is why I watched it three times back in September during my last trip. I hope they move it somewhere and preserve the show without just slapping it on Disney+ and calling it a day.
They should just scratch the villains show replacing the lightning mcqueen show, and put muppetvision there, then turn that whole part of Hollywood studios into muppet courtyard 2.0
My feelings on this are mixed. I really don’t want them to remove Muppet Vision. I think the rest of it is fine, if they could just move Muppet vision down Sunset Blvd by Rockin Roller Coaster, and just have a mini Muppets area. That would be the most ideal situation. And then rethemeing the Muppets courtyard would be fine.
Listen, there is one and only one requirement to make this okay. Recreate Muppet*Vision 3D somewhere else in the US. It doesn't need to be in a Disney Park but as Jim Henson's final project it needs to be preserved in a complete fashion not just the video or a VR experience.
I immediately went “nooooo!” Upon reading the title, we all knew this was coming, but its still unfortunate. Muppet Vision 3D is a piece of history- a dated, slightly obscure piece of history, but still important nonetheless. It’s Jim Henson’s last work, his last curtain call for the Muppets, it deserves to be seen as it was intended for generations to come, not just slapped on a paid subscription service. I will admit I am very excited they’re going with the Muppet Rock n’ Rollercoaster retheme. I love that ride, but as many times as Ive been on it, I never really cared for the preshow or the very basic “we gotta get to the rock concert” theme starring Aerosmith, they’re just not a band I really care about. So putting physical Muppet animatronics, Muppet songs, visuals, audios, jokes and references? Now THAT I am interested in seeing, even if Disney gets heavy-handed with modern influences, the Muppets *need* to come back into the spotlight
I like the coaster retheme, I hope they keep physical muppets in the park. Still devastated about losing Muppet vision. I hope they do it justice in some way.
I think Disney is emphasizing the "new music and artists" part of it so much because there aren't many, if any, Muppet songs that fit a physically intense 45 second rollercoaster where you're flung around the entire time. Guardians got away with songs like Everybody Wants to Rule the World and September because the ride is buttery smooth so it gives off the feeling like you're floating and gliding across the track. Rock and Rollercoaster is very much not buttery smooth and needs to lean a lot harder into the fast-paced song style like Conga to fit the ride. Imagine that starting launch pinning you to your seat, the bright flashing lights of the camera disorienting you before the loop, and the first instrument you hear is...a slow strummed banjo. Disney needs to scramble to make a song that will comparatively be at breakneck speeds to the rest of the Muppet's lineup of songs, and I don't think they fully know how to do that yet.
I think in the end this will be a positive change. The Muppets deserve a better home in the park, not a half closed area with restaurants people complain about. I would love to see Muppets 3D moved to the Lightning McQueen theater, it would make so much sense and be a perfect fit.
My thoughts are that they will build the Monsters Inc. roller coaster first before tearing anything out of Muppets Courtyard because that’s outside of the area. Therefore Muppets will be playing for several years yet and they it will eventually be moved into where the villains show is going which will go away when the villains land opens making a new Muppets Courtyard, putting the Miss Piggy fountain back out in front of the Rocking Roller Coaster now themed to Electric Mayhem. Electric Mayhem will be preforming Rock and Roll Classic as they did in The Muppet’s Show keeping the aesthetics that Aerosmith music did. This all has to do with licensing and IP. Rocking Roller Coaster will happen first once the contract with Aerosmith ends. Meanwhile the ground will be broke for the new show building as long as they can get in to tear down the Muppets Store that needs to be removed.
They gotta put Muppet Vision on the Sunset Showcase, I'm sure that's gonna cost nothing. And then just move the Kermit statues and the Miss Piggy fountain to the area where Rockin Rollercoaster is, change the sign at the archway and boom you got yourself a new Muppets Courtyard
@kdusel1991 I don't even think that's gonna stay until villains land opens, I give it two or three years there and then when Monsters and Muppets open they close it and bring Muppet Vision. They can even do some improvements to the theater before the villains show open, then when Muppets vision moves there they just do some work on the pre-show
I was initially happy about the Rock N Roller Coaster news, until I heard that "Music's biggest stars" part. I thought it would be a pretty good idea to have the Muppets and the Mayhem be the only musical presence in the ride since they're evergreen fictional characters that can't really have any allegations brought against them, two very pressing problems on the current version of RNRC. I just want concrete details at this point. When is it closing, how will it be preserved, and when will the new version of RNRC open?
Just swip-swap Muppet Vision 3D and the Laugh Factory - Muppets are now in the Magic Kingdom and Laugh Factory is now properly placed within Monsters Inc. land
You bring up an excellent point about people who love the Muppets, but hate roller coasters. It's unfair to those people because Muppet*Vision 3D was the only way for them to experience the Muppets. Plus, it was Jim Henson's last project he worked on before he died.
It’s been there since 91 and it’s definitely not a popular attraction anymore. It’s where people go to rest. As much as I hate it time for the park to move on. At least they are still gonna be in the park.
@@710moose8since the refurbishments the theater has actually been pretty packed. And considering all the new stuff is always breaking down, you need shows.
i don't think the muppets will sing Disney songs, but i think they *might* sing covers of pop songs (maybe as collabs with the original artists) rather than the artists covering Muppet songs.
This is with the hopes they do this. The villains show for MGM is probably a test run for a bigger one in the MK land (projected opening Summer 2030.) In the meantime work on replicating and improving Muppet Vision off-site. Once villains land opens, in 2031 they'll hype up the return of a completely refurbished Muppet Vision for the 40th anniversary to replace the villains show. They do a quick retheme to the building and make that entire area a brand new Muppet Courtyard which has so much potential. Disney has tried desperately multiple times to relaunch that IP and I think they've realized the parks are the best way to do that now. Not only that, but Muppet Vision was a notorious people eater, and there's a reason Lightning McQueen was even back there. It only makes sense.
Okay look, as much as it pains my heart to see MuppetVision go away, I'm praying they keep the "It's Rat Pizza" sign in the new Muppets area. Its one of my favorite gags
13:17 for a galaxy's edge fan, removing the canon immersive aspects is like turning the people mover into a thrill ride. It kills the point and will eventually kill the whole thing
This was inevitable. However, I really hope the preshow at the new Rock N'Roller Coaster will have physical animatronic Muppets in there ala Statler, Waldorf, and Bean in MuppetVision.
I'm going to list all the places they could put Muppet vision that are not occupied or planning to be removed -lightning McQueen racing academy -Pixar studios -wonders of life pavilion - a bug's life -just keep damn Muppet vision -Star Wars launch bay -Disney junior live there you go Disney, NOW GET TO WORK!!!!!
@ agreed! I made the comment before I listened to his explanation LOL 🤣 but 100% agree it would be amazing in monstropolis and better than in Tomorrowland!
@@madichilds829 monsters don't belong in a futuristic spaceport! Plus it'd be cheaper than having to come up with a new show if they wanna save a little money for villains land 😊
@ precisely!!! We always want Tomorrowland improvements anyways. And then, we get to keep the laugh floor anyways!!! At least we get to keep one beloved show attraction in all of this…
I agree, after sitting on it a bit and mulling it over, I don’t hate the idea of the Muppets taking over Rockin Rollercoaster, depending on how they execute the changes. Personally, I think they should do Muppet covers of iconic rock songs (I Wanna Rock and Roll All Night, Bohemian Rhapsody, etc.) rather than teaming up with “today’s biggest stars.” I am holding my breath on what they will do with the movie…my hope is that they will put it where the villains show is going to be and then it’s like we have a little Muppet corner.
I could see them adding an "alternative experience" for RRC similar to the one for the subs. Just put the small kids in a small room on the exit side of the ride where they sit and watch Muppetvision. You only need to keep a limited number of the 3D glasses on hand to fill the room. Though I guess the downside is the ride would finish well before the movie. They could also offer it as a separate entrance from the front and the wait time display would diminish as the movie plays so you know exactly how long to time with the ride line. Just thoughts.
Muppet holiday overlays would be AMAZING! I hope they stick to Muppets singing Muppets music for Rockin Rollercoaster. Why bring in other artists? The Muppets are iconic in their own right.
I’m 100% with you on having it move to where Lightning’s racing academy was after villians is done. But what I want for the rockin preshow is for it to be exactly the same but with the Muppets as the band and bring back the original lady manager. Do an almost exact word for word muppet remake of the preshow.
I PRAY TO GOD that the Villains show is a temporary placeholder and they're planning on moving Muppets to that theater and making that area the new Muppets miniliand... I am absolutely livid about the news that we're losing Muppet Vision, but am extremely excited about them taking over Rock'n'Rollercoaster.
I hope so too! Muppet Vision needs to be preserved! It DOES NOT need to be shoved onto Disney+! I guarantee Jim Henson would be doing backflips in his grave if disney did that to his baby. I'm curious about the rockin roller coaster retheme but I'm a little sad about it cause the original is so awesome!!
Wouldn’t it mess up the canon aspect of monstropolis if they move laugh floor? It’s meant to be the monsters having a comedy club in the human world. If we put the comedy club inside of monstropolis then it wouldn’t make as much sense unless they somehow rework the plot of the show? either way another banger video also W Bo burnham reference
Just gonna throw this out there: the show building for Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy is next to the entrance for Rockin' Roller Coaster, and it's roughly the same size as the Muppet theater. Also no one really likes the racing academy, so if you needed a spot to move MuppetVision 3D, I wouldn't be opposed to that stretch of Sunset Boulevard becoming Muppets Boulevard...
I agree with everything he’s said. AS LONG as muppet vision returns to studios within 2-3 years while we wait for the villains show to leave, I will be fine with it, and once it’s back in its own *permanent* theater, where it was made to be experienced, then they can put it on Disney+ if they really want to.
The original muppets show was all about highlighting current (for the time) as well as iconic pop music stars, so I feel like muppets taking over the Rock ‘N Roller Coaster makes sense. It’s on brand. Just watch a few episodes (or seasons) of the original muppets show and it will make sense. That being said, au revoir Rock ‘N Roller Coaster avec Aerosmith… le encore. And yes, putting the film part of MuppetVision on Disney plus will be awful, because Jim Henson directed the entire experience. The animatronics, the visual effects in the environment, Sweetums walking through the room, the lobby and the preshow will all be lost. It’s upsetting.
The end of Muppet*Vision 3D is sad because it was originally meant to be part of an entire Muppet themed land. There is actual concept art for a Great Muppets Movie Ride and that fell through. The Great Muppet Movie Ride attraction would’ve been a spoof of The Great Movie Ride. But instead classic films would be reenacted, by the Muppets; but with the utter chaos of the Muppets struggling to keep everything together. In addition to eating places like A Great Gonzo’s Pizza Pandemonium Parlor, and the Hard Luck Cafe a play on the Hard Rock Cafe. Allegedly that feel through when Disney wanted to pay less money because Jim Henson was not part of it anymore because of his death and an associate of Henson's explained and that this really soured the Henson family. For me an entire land dedicated to the Muppet would have been awesome Disney's biggest mistake is not cashing in on the Muppets. Disney Co. had the opportunity to make some serious money off of doing muppet versions of stuff. It’s like they’re forgetting that the Muppets are a cornerstone of pop culture that have cross over appeal for every generation. I guarantee a child from this generation would enjoy a muppet thing as much as a any other.
As a big Muppet vision fan I’m so sad to see it go. I love the new rockin rollercoaster retheme but since the ride makes me sick I won’t be able to go on it. I really really hope we get some other muppet things in Hollywood studios.
im so excited fro monstropolis but im TWEAKING out about muppet vision leaving. my fave pixar movie is monsters inc but my whole family and i are so emotionally connected with the muppets. especially since muppet vision was the last project jim henson worked on. I also think messing with the aerosmith coaster is a little scary depending on what they do with it. plus, I'm not a big rollercoaster person, I was too scared to gt on the rockin rollercoaster the last time i was in hollywood studios 2 years ago. but , maybe for the muppets ill try my best lol. I just hope whatever happens is filled with love and care for the art instead of love and care for the money
Okay, as much as I love The Electric Mayhem hauling Rock n Rollercoaster, I can’t believe they’re getting rid of Muppet Vision 3D. RIP to that place, you were the starting point to one of my biggest hyperfixations ;)
Maybe it will be more like the Movin' Right Along Remix from the Muppets Movie by Alkaline Trio. More classic Muppets songs given a new twist by new artists.
I think that Disney is saying that there going to make a music festival with muppets hosting featuring all these either music artists of now or classic music artist
I think that Disney should move the Muppet Courtyard area including Muppet Vision 3D into the Rocking Roller Coaster area. The villains are getting their own land so they don’t need a show in Hollywood Studios. Improve the New Muppet Courtyard area with a new improved Muppet Vision 3D theater. Put in a good restaurant (a sit down would be nice) and stores that are open all of the time. It would really be the best of both worlds!! A fabulous Monsters Inc Land and a fabulous Muppets Courtyard land. How about a second Muppet ride!?! Let’s get crazy and pray for the Great Movie Ride Presented by the Muppets!! It would be a million dreams come true!!!
I hope the Jim Henson company memorializes the Muppet section of the land and is able to keep some pieces from being destroyed. As for Muppet Vision 3D, I agree I hope they move it somewhere else.
disney+ isn’t enough. throw away the villains show and put muppetvision 3d in lightning mcqueen racing academy’s building. i’m so thankful i went to muppetvision 2 more times while i was in DHS in september just in case this happened. i’m still so sad it’s happening, though. rock ‘n is my favorite and i’m so thankful she lives on and is being returned to the muppets but muppetvision is SUCH a loss that shouldn’t be happening. animation courtyard is RIGHT THERE.
I think it will fit best at that Lightning McQueens racing academy theater but they are moving a villains show there. Which leaves the area that we wanted Monstropolis to go into in the first place, Star Wars Launch Bay! Its been a wasting place since they removed the art of animation, and while it blew me away in my youth, it evolved into a place for my kids to Air Conditioning when they are asleep in their strollers. If not the Launch Bay, then I would say The imagination theater in Epcot, OR even make the wonders of life pavilion Muppets themed and use the cranium command theater. They have a Plethora of good options. Throwing it one Disney+ would be the cheapest worst option and would be a shun to Jim Henson.
It makes sense with the already established infrastructure plus Muppets are less popular as the years go by. At least they will preserve the show somehow and the Muppets are not removed entirely.
I’ve been to Disney World 3 times over the past 20 years and each time the Rockin Roller Coaster has been closed for maintenance. Think I’m fated never to ride it…
i want them to move muppet vision to where lightning mcqueen racing academy was. if not, i hope they move it to the museum of the moving image in new york
Oh my god .Before I watch this video I was talking to my little brother about this and I said the exact same thing thing offhand Disney said . Great minds thinks alike. Thank you for making my day
D, I loved how you threw in the Peoplemover in there! I guess it would be ok to change RR to a Muppets coaster. You had a valid point (one of many), there will be younger guests who will be disappointed but they won’t reach the height requirement. Muppets Vision…..bring it to Disneyland….replace Monsters Inc. Move Laugh Floor to Monstropolis….it belongs there. It really does not belong in Tomorrowland! Also, bring back the Peoplemover…..I don’t even care if it is renamed Chicago Transit Authority, or whatever WDW called it ( yes, I know that is the original name for the band, Chicago). Thank you, D, for your always excellent work. See you in line!
It would be cool if they turned MV3D into a VR experience. Get a high end vr camera in the theater to record the physical bits then overlay a remastered version of the movie on the theater screen.
It would be great if they just moved the attraction to another venue near Rockin' Roller Coaster or did something else to preserve the full experience. Putting the film and queue videos on Disney + would not be satisfying, and as history has shown with rides like Back to the Future: The Ride, this process doesn't always preserve the full print or quality. I do like the idea of potential changes to Rockin' Roller Coaster for different seasons, which would be awesome. I also agree that Disney tends to de-value their older properties. Heck, I still miss 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea which was there the first time I ever went to the park and then was gone by the next time. I also question the relevance of the Muppets to more modern audiences. Do they really know/understand the magic that we all felt growing up with them? I'm not saying no, I'm just asking the question.
Love your ideas! I really hope they move Muppet Vision 3D into the racing academy building, complete with the same preshow. And I’ll go a step further: bring the Muppets Midship Detective Agency game to Hollywood Studios. It’s insanely good. And the tech can’t be that expensive. I’m sure they won’t, given that they removed Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom.
The Electric Mayhem on the coaster would be awesome! But as someone who gets motionsick easily, I won't be able to ride it, except by listening to the soundtrack of a ridethough video. That connects into my other recent thoughts that there aren't enough plans for new or enhanced slow/dark rides. I want to go on rides, I don't want to get sick.
I hear you! I may not get motion sickness, but I don't like roller coasters. And since the Muppets are loved by EVERYONE, they need something for little kids to enjoy that's Muppet-centric. If the move Muppet-vison 3D over by the coaster, I think that would work. Hopefully, Disney is smart enough to do that.
@@kirabowie but little kids don't understand the muppets. Yeah they're beloved by kids, but a lot of their more adult jokes won't be understood by little kids
@@kdusel1991 That doesn't matter at all! I LOVED Muppet-vision 3D when I was a little kid! And Frozen which is for kids has a few adult jokes in it and it's beloved by all. Little kids may not get the adult jokes, but there's still plenty in there for them to enjoy. The adult humor is for the parents and other adults. Why take away something EVERYONE can enjoy in favor of something only a few would enjoy.? That makes no sense. Not everyone likes rollercoasters or other thrill rides, or can even ride them due to physical limitations, like height or being pregnant or having a disability that makes a thrill ride dangerous for them. With Muppet-vision 3D, those people can enjoy it too.
Muppets 3d should be moved, and most Disney Vloggers on RUclips are literally in agreement about this, suggesting it should be moved to the area behind Rockin Rollercoaster. Rockin Rollercoaster is going to be s hard sell to parents with small kids, because the babies won't be able to go onto the rollercoaster with them, and so the Muppets are now going to be another thing families can't enjoy together which negates Walt's original vision for his parks.
Just take out Disney Junior! Yeah parents with littles will be sad, but to me Hollywood Studios is more of a park for older kids/teens! Disney Junior makes more sense in magic kingdom!
The should move Muppet Vision to Epcot at the Imagination pavillion and replace the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival. What better place to showcase the beautiful imagination of Jim Henson than at the Imagination pavillion
This fees like they’re reverting rock n roller coaster BACK to its original setting - having the muppets be the main focus of a ride that is supposed to get a famous band to a performance when SOMETHING GOES WRONG seems SO MUCH in their wheelhouse, I’m just thinking “why didn’t they do that the first time?” (I know why, this just feels so much like a perfect fit)
6:12 I wonder if Disney will re-use some of the MuppetVision animatronics for this new ride. Even better, new Muppet animatronics like the Electric Mayhem!!
And I don't think reskinning a coaster is a suitable replacement either, because that eliminates all of the younger Muppet fans as well as some of the older ones, or people with disabilities. The Muppets deserve a dark ride that's accessible for everyone.
@kdusel1991 honestly, I think the updated Splash Mtn should have been a Kermit's Swamp Ride. It makes more sense thematically than trying to explain how a mountain ended up in a bayou and it would have been easier to update the animatronics. And they could have had Fozzie tangled up in a tree as an homage to Brer Bear.

This is a total slap in the face to Jim Hinson & the whole Hinson family! MuppetVision 3D was Jim's last actual project that he worked on before he unexpectantly passed away, Disney knows this. Frankly Disney doesn't treat The Muppets properly, & many Muppets fans feel the same way!!!!
(I know that I wrote too much but please read) I just got back from Disney world and I was literally having the same thoughts as you and I think this could be a great thing IF they do it right, I feel that the muppets courtyard right now is kind of dying and the only reason it is there is for muppet vision 3D, on the same note I feel that the Aerosmith theme of rock in roller coaster is also dying, and having just coming back from there and having marathoned rockin roller coaster 5 times in one day, i feel something needs to be done about the theme because while I waited in line I heard 4 different people have to explain to their kids who Aerosmith were. And this is coming from me and I only listen to 80’s rock and Aerosmith is like 1/3 of my playlist, of course I would rather keep Aerosmith but they would have to replace it sooner or later and if we still get to keep the ride itself and it’s being rethemed to muppets I don’t think that’s so bad.
Also here’s my idea for the ride: So it could basically follow the same idea as the current rockin roller coaster where the electric mayhem is late for a concert so dr. Bunsen honeydew and beaker make a contraption to get you there on time, so you hop on in the car and the electric mayhem practice the songs for there concert on the way there I know it’s a very basic idea and obviously it needs more thought but obviously if you add some muppets mischief into it I think it could turn out to be a great ride
I just hope they incorporate the miss piggy fountain somehow. If not then they can just give it to me, i’ll take it

I like the Muppets for the Rock N Roller Coaster. I do not like the show going away, which is why I watched it three times back in September during my last trip. I hope they move it somewhere and preserve the show without just slapping it on Disney+ and calling it a day.
Muppets Theater is being replaced with a new Monsters Inc show
They should just scratch the villains show replacing the lightning mcqueen show, and put muppetvision there, then turn that whole part of Hollywood studios into muppet courtyard 2.0
Agreed! Put the villains show in the villains land once that opens up!
According to my sister in law no one wants Villains Land
That actually could work thematically because ToT is based off a TV show and The Muppets started as a TV show.
They SAID they are considering options for MuppetVision 3D.....And we need to hold them TO that.
They should play the muppets cover of bohemian rhapsody on rock n roller coaster
They better do bro. That cover gets stuck in my head from time to time lmao
"team up with some of music's biggest", guys chill, i think disney is only refering to Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem
I hope it's preserved!
That button placement on the Kermit shirt is something
It makes so much sense but that makes me question whether or not Disney will do it
My thoughts are that they will build the Monsters Inc. roller coaster first before tearing anything out of Muppets Courtyard because that’s outside of the area.
I'm praying that the villains show is temporary and then once villains land opens they move that there and put muppet vision where the show is!
@kdusel1991 I don't even think that's gonna stay until villains land opens, I give it two or three years there and then when Monsters and Muppets open they close it and bring Muppet Vision. They can even do some improvements to the theater before the villains show open, then when Muppets vision moves there they just do some work on the pre-show
I like how the “T” in the thumbnail is blocking Mike like in the movie
I was initially happy about the Rock N Roller Coaster news, until I heard that "Music's biggest stars" part. I thought it would be a pretty good idea to have the Muppets and the Mayhem be the only musical presence in the ride since they're evergreen fictional characters that can't really have any allegations brought against them, two very pressing problems on the current version of RNRC. I just want concrete details at this point. When is it closing, how will it be preserved, and when will the new version of RNRC open?
yes, i feel like animal alone could make this whole ride work. rockin' rollercoaster is absolutely animal vibe
I wonder if they will gut RNR and make an entirely new family coaster inside, complete with parts where it slows down for a show scene.
i don't think the muppets will sing Disney songs, but i think they *might* sing covers of pop songs (maybe as collabs with the original artists) rather than the artists covering Muppet songs.
genuinely when i first heard this news the first person i thought about was you like i genuinely hope you’re doing alright bc this sucks !!
Mikes face is covers on the thumbnail. The joke will never die.
Can we be honest? “Rock N Roller” is very outdated & was definitely in need of a re theme.
Except that it’s not over. Disney and the Henson estate have both said MuppetVision will be preserved and will return in some fashion.
I hope!!
This may be a little outdated but they should do what Shrek 4D did. Put it on DVD with 3D glasses included
Imagine doing high velocity loop-de-loops to the “menomenuh” song
This is sad because Muppet Vision 3D was one of Jim Henson’s very last project that he worked on before he passed… 😔
I hope!!
I'm going to list all the places they could put Muppet vision that are not occupied or planning to be removed
-lightning McQueen racing academy
-Pixar studios
-wonders of life pavilion
- a bug's life
-just keep damn Muppet vision
-Star Wars launch bay
-Disney junior live
there you go Disney, NOW GET TO WORK!!!!!
"it may have implications for Disney World's Tomorrowland.' only offhand could say something like this and make it make sense
I wouldn't hate if they took out laugh floor and moved that to monstropolis! It never made sense to me in Tomorrowland!!
At least we get to keep one beloved show attraction in all of this…
Put Muppet Vision at Sunset Showcase!
Edit: Well...I'm not the only one to think that.
I was gonna say "what about DCA?" and forgot about Mickey's Philharmagic for a second lol
I agree, after sitting on it a bit and mulling it over, I don’t hate the idea of the Muppets taking over Rockin Rollercoaster, depending on how they execute the changes. Personally, I think they should do Muppet covers of iconic rock songs (I Wanna Rock and Roll All Night, Bohemian Rhapsody, etc.) rather than teaming up with “today’s biggest stars.”
I am holding my breath on what they will do with the movie…my hope is that they will put it where the villains show is going to be and then it’s like we have a little Muppet corner.
I hope do that!
100% with you. I will be okay if they just move it to the other theatre, and have two Muppets attractions.
I’m 100% with you on having it move to where Lightning’s racing academy was after villians is done. But what I want for the rockin preshow is for it to be exactly the same but with the Muppets as the band and bring back the original lady manager. Do an almost exact word for word muppet remake of the preshow.
This entire attraction could be placed in EPCOT in the Magic Eye Theater. It beats Pixar Film Festival
I'd be fully down for a physical media release of Muppet vision
I hope that they can just move MuppetVision somewhere else but it's disconcerting that they wouldn't say that initially
Noone cares about them getting rid of muppets courtyard. What they care about is making sure Muppetvision is preserved.
We're Not Losing the Muppets, Thankfully.
But it's at the cost of already reskinning a great coaster. I hope they move Muppet Vision somewhere else!
Only the show
@@maui3551 I know. They should move the show somewhere else!
Were just getting a lazy new version
Hear me out they just cancel the villains show and just move MuppetVision 3D right away
Disney did say that the Monsters Inc land will be getting a new show
Yellow shoes! From the podcast! I miss you guys!
Rock ‘n’ roller coaster only goes 57mph while guardians of the galaxy: cosmic rewind goes 60mph, rock’n’ roller coaster has a quicker acceleration
Rockin' Rollercoaster with Muppets? Dr. Teeth? Animal? I'm in!
I'm pretty happy with this tbh. I just rode Rockin Rollercoaster a week ago and it desperately needs updating.
disney+ isn’t enough. throw away the villains show and put muppetvision 3d in lightning mcqueen racing academy’s building. i’m so thankful i went to muppetvision 2 more times while i was in DHS in september just in case this happened. i’m still so sad it’s happening, though. rock ‘n is my favorite and i’m so thankful she lives on and is being returned to the muppets but muppetvision is SUCH a loss that shouldn’t be happening. animation courtyard is RIGHT THERE.
This will never happen but take the movie on tour.
Whatever opinions you have of the decision, you have to agree it's the wrong decision to still not add any capacity to the park.
Well, I think after the announcement yesterday we all knew this video was coming today.
I would die for a Muppets Christmas Carol overlay
I'd be okay with that!!
Am I the only one that noticed the odd placement of the button on Kermit on his shirt
The should move Muppet Vision to Epcot at the Imagination pavillion and replace the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival. What better place to showcase the beautiful imagination of Jim Henson than at the Imagination pavillion
And give figment a new ride! Journey into imagination needs a major change!
Sad. It was one of the best shows in the parks
The button on your shirt makes it look like kermit is wearing a fig leaf, which raises questions
And I don't think reskinning a coaster is a suitable replacement either, because that eliminates all of the younger Muppet fans as well as some of the older ones, or people with disabilities. The Muppets deserve a dark ride that's accessible for everyone.
They should keep rockin how it is!
@@CinnamonGrrlErin1 I like Tiana's and think it's cute. But it should've found a way to incorporate the shadow man into the plot. It feels weirdly naked without a scary element. But I hope Disney finds a way to preserve muppet vision 3D somehow! It DOES NOT need to be shoved onto Disney+! I'd be okay with them getting rid of the disney junior show in animation courtyard! and reskinning rockin roller coaster is disheartening to me cuz I love the ride how it is!
@@kdusel1991 I sent an email today to the Center for Puppetry Arts asking them to preserve MuppetVision. Maybe if other people do the same, we'll see results.
That’s not a reason it needs to be open forever. Be serious. There’s no shortage of places to view his work over the years.
Also here’s my idea for the ride:
So it could basically follow the same idea as the current rockin roller coaster where the electric mayhem is late for a concert so dr. Bunsen honeydew and beaker make a contraption to get you there on time, so you hop on in the car and the electric mayhem practice the songs for there concert on the way there
I know it’s a very basic idea and obviously it needs more thought but obviously if you add some muppets mischief into it I think it could turn out to be a great ride
Don’t forget that Muppet Vision was Jim Henson’s last performance as Kermit the Frog. This is a saddening and more than a bit tasteless of Disney.
