I remember seeing and downloading another video, a lot of time ago, months, with the same song and version but of another channel. I can't find it anymore.
In the last sentence, its «står trofaste hirdmenn på vakt» not «stod trofaste hirdmenn på vakt» as the first verse refers to the viking tid and the second one refers to reviving it.

And the "nazis" actually didnt want Quisling to be leader, they wanted Norway to keep their current government, but (if i remember correctly) as they saw the norwegian king wouldnt bend (Why monarchs are better than pantsy politicians) they ended up using Quisling anyways. So maybe even a nazi would not like the Traitor Quisling.
@@dimajo3057 With all due respect. The Norwegian government that was elected by the people, was deposed by the Nazis after Norway had capitulated. So no they did not want to keep the Norwegian government. Maybe things would have been different if Norway decided not to fight against the invasion. The King and the Governing body of Norway fled to England and led the resistance fight against the Nazis from overseas. I suspect that is the main reason why they deposed the legitimate government and reinstated a puppet government insted led by National commisionary Joseph Terboven and Vidkun Quisling as the second in command.
I was listening to it, and looked up its origin, i was thinking maybe it was a song that was simply used BY the nazis, but it was made FOR the nazis. Or that part of them at least. lol Still love the song.

It was never used by the Freikcorps. The guy who made the Freikcorps version is an American that's probably a Fed account.

It's just the colour scheme that makes you think that, the iconography doesn't really scream communism to me; especially the cross in the centre.
