That’s about as straight forward as one can make the process. Love it. Switching from civilian to military models and needed an idea on how to do camo.
I am going to try this on the type 97 I am building. I don’t have an airbrush and I tried free painting with mediocre results. I will update with how it went when I am done.
Cześć from Winnipeg, Canada! I subscribed and am going through your how to paint videos. I find your no nonsense approach easy to watch and to learn from. I hope you continue on to make videos to learn from.
Nice explanation of the process buddy, im trying it, its all about layers, paint then tape, i used to draw on the surface with a pencil and just paint in the lines
Metoda nieskomplikowana efekt mistrzowski! Kolejny niezwykle pomocny i inspirujący odcinek.
This is about the fastest, cleanest and best camo video I've seen. Now I'm off to watch all your others. Chodzi o najszybszy, najczystszy i najlepszy film z kamuflażem, jaki widziałem.
It looks cool, but from a historical perspective, the green (Olivgruen RAL 6003) was used sparingly towards the end of the war as it was the most costly to manufacture regarding chemicals. The brown & dark yellow are spot on, as by 1944 the " dark yellow" became more of a sand / tan colour while still retaining the same RAL code of 7028 & Chocolate Bown ral 8017 which was used widely in the first years of the war was replaced by Red Brown RAL 8012 as it was basically red oxide primer mixed with some pigment to give it a brown tint. All so 2 two-tone camo was more common towards the end of the war as some units only got one of the colours for camo ( either the green or the brown) Overall a great demonstration & your technique is excellent, I look forward to trying it.
I really like this SWS vehicle. Well done. You asked what we would like. Anything from you is good Lucasz but I do love the German WW2 soft cammos. Love the chanel & content !!!
Such a simple method and looks so great. And if you add colour modulation into the paint job it will look awesome. Thanks for sharing. I search so long for simple technique to apply a three tone camouflage. Your paint job looks really good. Greets and Cheers. 👍

Super odcinek. Próbowałem wyważyć otwarte drzwi inną kolejnością działania. Najpierw przygotowałem maski na cały model a dopiero potem rysowanie i wycinanie. A tymczasem... można prościej. Mam jednak dwa problemy. 1. Skala 1/72.
No i zdecydowanie wiecej czasu na zrobienie takiego kamo. Ad.2. :) Powodzenia! :)

The M2 on the top was scrachbuilt and I use RB Model to enrich browning. Please check the Live Resin - they have some M2 mounts. Maybe you will find something there. :)

There are different ways to paint this camo. Your option is also good! :)

Most times the real vehicles paint would fade very quickly under the sun. So it makes sense to do a faded muted color scheme.
Indeed! thx! :)
How would you aproach to a spesific scheme?
I would have to have all the sides to accurately reproduce the camo spots. The rest is the same as in the movie
Are you mix with water before put inside airbrush pen?
Sometimes. :)
I hate masking. I either do it with a flat edge brush by hand or use blue tack.
Your choice :) Good luck!
