Thank you for showing some of those internal parts. To those who want to know "WHY", look at the driver rear door at 0.03 sec. The energy required to to PUSH the rear unibody forward enough to move the "C" pillar would be expensive to fix correctly. IF it were not fixed correctly, it would not drive straight when going down the road. In Wheel Alignment terms it is called thrust angle. Meaning the rear tires would not roll in the same path as the front tires. The rear tires would roll to one side. In the snow, if you drive in a straight line, you would see four paths, two from the front tires, two from the rear.
it was required to be stripped And get onto an allignement bench. But these cars are "cheap" but parts sell for more because they don't suffer much from depriciation..
When my 2004 v8 dies I plan to part it out rather than have the car towed away. I will be sad but will also be interested in the engineering of this amazing vehicle.
OMG so sad I own a 2007 to see such a great car been dismantled, I had my engine already twice removed for new turbos , and manifolds , and cost me an arm an a leg , it but there is no replacement for such a jewel. I now very soon I’ll be selling , but is so difficult .

in Germany an alignment bench is forbidden.This cars are for poland and russia ,they dont care ,they fix it with stucco and sell it for new.
as a owner of a -04 touareg v10 tdi this hurts to see such beauty and BEASt getting riped apart :(

Es ist bei uns einfach so die übliche Reihenfolge.
