Yep I have a few people to try that might be able to repair it, the tricky bit might be sourcing valves, guides and seats, which are usually different from 5 port parts and due to the age of the head different from current 8 port parts.
Thanks for sharing! Very interesting to follow your detective work on finding out what happened…poor build/poor parts/unlucky? And I’m very impressed with your coldness…I know mini’s are old/used cars, but still - I would still be crying 😢
I was unlucky. The rocker failed, and it's not the first time, but there's one type of rocker used on the ardens and that's it, off the shelf anyway. I think with swapping the heads about I used the oldest, highest mileage set, and got bitten by that.
Great to see a new video.
Bad but not the worst
Cheers, hope to have more time now works calmed down for winter.
"another two minis..."
oooh you tease!
😂👍
oh I hope its fixable :) - two more minis - that was a bombshell to finish on :)
coming soon, just need to edit the video on the first one and the second is being collected tomorrow
So pleased it’s turned out not so bad for you rich. At least your head and block look saveable. Especially your head.
