This reminded me of the old days when I was back home in Kiribati and used to go catch em eels every week especially when preparing meals for parties (botaki)

The Southern Islands esp Tabiteuea and Nonouti are well known of such unique skills.
The meat is oily and delicious, the stomach is tastier and less bony, dont eat the tail, you will swallow bones😯

As a kid I would prefer the cooked skin which would annoy my older sibblings. My mother would give me the meat around the stomach. As I grew older, those priveleges were gone and I have to eat the bony parts, just like the others in the family!
