1300 Kilometers through the HEART of the CONGO 🇨🇬[S7-E81]

  • In this episode, I ride 1300 kilometers through the Republic of Congo, all the way until I reach the coast. The road is paved and in good condition and after all that went wrong in the Central African Republic and Cameroon, I am trying to avoid any craziness! Unfortunately, the weather did not agree with that, and on top of that I destroy my navigation tablet, and realize that when my motorcycle fell into the river, water had gotten into the tank...

Hay Noraly just to give you a small but of Advice your bike was submerged in water you need to take your seat off and go pull every Fuse out of the fuse box and dry them as they will corrode very fast and may cause them to blow on you leaving you stranded . Make sure you dry the fuses and blow into the fusebox to get asmuch moisture out and your water in the tank don't let your tank get to low or it will suck all that water in and you will have a helish time trying to get it out of the combustion chamber . Get your tank down to quater way and pull the fuel lines and drain it or siphon it all out and put fresh fuel in from your fuel bag
Stay safe and I have been waiting for this episode

Honestly I've learnt more about Africa from Itchy Boots (and Hardest Geezer) than from any news network. They show the reality of everyday life, the hardships but also the joys. How people are innately good and helpful. I would never have imagined being enthralled by footage of someone waiting in line at a gas station. So thank you for changing perceptions simply by allowing people to see day to day life across this magnificent continent.

Hey Noraly. You can add isopropyl alcohol 70% or higher to your gas to remove water. Water mixes with the alcohol and allows it be burned during combustion. Love your channel. I can't ride anymore. Had a bad motorcycle accident. Broke my back and a few other limbs. Had to learn to walk again. But watching you ride brings me joy. I miss riding my bike. Your determination to ride 1300 kilometers through the Republic of Congo despite challenges like unpredictable weather and motorcycle mishaps is truly commendable. Your resilience in the face of adversity reflects the adventurous spirit of our nation, where individuals like you embrace challenges with courage and perseverance. I would ensure you get the oil changed as fast as possible, water in the tank is fine as it clearly isnt enough to hydrolock the engine. But water can find its way into the oil through multiple spots, and that will cause a lot of long-term problems with your connecting rod bearings. Also check every fuse and electrical connection for stagnant water and clean corrosiion off of them with a metal brush.

Every episode I was traveling with you and sometimes holding my breath because of all the challenges you endure, but knowing that it would end well because there were so many upcoming episodes still. Since this episode I worry a little bit more, because I need to wait for your next video.
What you’re doing is much more than a travel log, it’s an amazing documentary about the state of the world, the people and nature in the early 21st century. I am sure it will be an inspiration for a lot of people, not just now but for many decades to come, just like Alan Lomax did about 80 years ago by recording (musical) life on tape.

I don't understand why people add good roads to the comment as is the previous countries didn't have good roads. Don't let her road choices make you think there are no good roads in all the west and central African countries she visited. She only chose the bad roads for adventure purposes, the avoidance of big cities and possibly reckless driving on the tared roads. She is only on good roads because she thinks Alaska has had enough. If not that, you would still see her on bad roads even in the Congo.
