I do love using these wet into wet but I know (or I think) that they're not designed to be used that way, so it's nice to see someone else enjoying using them the same way!
Hullo Becca, I am surprised that you pigeon holed this palette! Yet, I have not seen your previous video. I did actually get this collection of paints to increase my Tambi color selection! I was looking at the anniversary collection, but they are still quite expensive! I have seen lovely paintings made with this collection of colors! I have enjoyed this video and your painting too! I have a selection of 72 Tambi pans now and so I have very good choices when reaching for these paints. Thank you.
I think you'll find that the paper it has been designed to use is japanese rice paper. I'm not sure why you can't recommend them for their intended use , When you haven't tried them on the paper it IS designed to be used on.
This is 7 months late, but the term she used is “Etegami” which is letter art, like art on postcards and stuff! If you search “etegami art” you can find some examples 😄
New sub here! Your painting looks beautiful. I will seek your previous video, as i don't know what edagame paper looks like. I do nt uave thee colours but will try these flowers illustration with the Schmincke Akademie Icy (pastel) colours. Thanks for this
Yes the colors are very nice, and they are fun to use, but they aren't supposed to be the same thing as western watercolors. I don't understand why people find that cultural difference to be offensive or critical of Kuratake and other Asian paints and inks. They are different products, intended for different uses.

I love this product.
I also love using these paints in adult coloring books like Joseph Catimbang's and Johanna Basford's. Glad you caved and gave them another try!
Lovely, Becca! Good on you for returning to give this palette another shot!
Thank you for the inspiration=3 These flowers turned out so lovely!

I personally don’t like the colour palette
