Will Durant (American historian and philosopher) visited India in 1930 and said i his book STORY OF CIVILIZATION -

india's existance and contribution is the oldest in the world i think🤔like in asian countries and combodia also there are several structures of indian dieties like hanuman ,gansha ,shiv ji , ram ji and also ramayan and mahabharata are also present in thailand and other asian countries as they form the plays with exact same names of the legends we know from these epic❤❤

Interesting to know that you were taught Ramayana and Mahabharata in secondary school. Didn't know about such things happening in Europe.

The thing to remember is that Mahabharata and Ramayana are “poems” and not prose. In poems, the poet uses eloquent language and references to evoke a thought or give meaning. Unlike in prose where things are written as they are meant to be. For example, in a poem, the poet will use mountains of milk or butter to describe snow clad mountains.
The reason why Mahabharata and Ramayana were poems were so that they can be recited and passed on to generations. As recitation as a medium of passing was more effective than writing it down. Reason is that during those times paper wasn’t invented and scriptures in India were written down on bark of specific trees called “Bhoja” or “Bhojpatra” which grow only in certain pockets of India (mainly in the lower Himalayas). So due to the scarcity of the writing medium, verbal medium was preferred.
As a consequence of which ancient Indian texts are divided into “Shruti” (one that is heard) and “Smriti” (one that is remembered). With “Shruti” being given more importance than “Smriti”. Why is “Shruti” given more importance than “Smriti” ?? Reason is simple. You can alter a prose easily but cannot alter a poem because in a poem altering any word or verse will break its flow, tonality and rhythm in which it is set to be recited. So it becomes more difficult to alter a poem than a prose. So any knowledge locked in poem stays unaltered the longest.
Why the use of hyperbole in Indian epics ? There is a quote in Sanskrit which sums it up. It says that “What happened, Where it happened is less consequential to Why it happened and what one learns from it”. As the specifics of an event are less important compared to the lessons a person or society learns from an event. So in order to capture the lessons and pass it on to generations to come, people used hyperbole in order to evoke a sense of grandeur. People don’t remember mundane stuff. They remember iconic moments. Also to pass it on, the events must be celebrated that’s why one sees a long standing culture of music and art woven around the Indian epics so that they don’t get forgotten with the passage of time.

It’s difficult to comprehend native stories for BELIEVER & NON BELIEVER ppl . The world is beyond it . The more they learn about Sanskrit or Santana it start conflicting with their current believe & that’s the point when even pure academic learning stops

The story goes as when Hanuman ji got sad that he has to separate from Ram ji.. one Ring from his finger slipped and fell in crack.. Hanuman ji made himself small and went other get that ring back and when he reached to the floor he found a Mountain of rings.. when he was confused ther was someone who was guarding all the rings and he explained to Hanuman ji that Evey time Ram ji plans to go from earth and you get sad Ramji does this leela to show you that this is just a phase.. it's a cycle... So who knows which cycle ramayan is talking about which ramayan balmiki ji has written about why do we need to put dates on this instead we should see the underlying message..

Even NASA planotorium software lord ram date of birth approx 10000 years according to valmiki Ramayan description on planet position when lord ram was born.

Correction regarding the bats. All bats large and small worldwide DO NOT drink blood. Only the smallest bats (and not the large ones) of South America drink blood of mammals. Got to say, most of the Indian scholars don't agree with dating of Nilesh Oak or his interpretations.
I think us Indians need to much more grounded mindset, this kind of outlandish claims only based on personal interpretations not going to help proving Mahabharata and Ramayana as history, in fact it will backfire and allow these Eurocentric (who controls almost all Academia) historians to omit it all as some kind of flat earth theories.

Nobody really knows what is a rakshasha!
Ravana was called a rakshasha but he was also a brahmin with a great lineage to boot (son of Vishravas and grandson of Pulastya Rishi, one of the Prajapatis and Brahma's "Manasika putra").
Rakshasha then refers to a person who has acquired bad "gunas" and fallen from the "Satvic" to the "Tamasic" guna. Nothing to do with a race or color and they certainly did not have 2 horns on their heads or long teeth sticking out of their mouths!
