My drums are super weak in my recordings but not because of EZDrummer, which I love, but because of my hack skills. This sounds killer though!

I have the Ballou kit and it is way, way more raw in general. But not a bad thing if you really want to be able to mix from scratch especially.

PSA - If you got this pack and it won't work or load into your library. Make sure you install the new Kontakt 6 player. It will not work in Kontakt 5. In my previous exp.

Ok I am having a bitch of a time learning use the matt halpern or modern metal drums in reaper. I can pull it up in kontakt, the loops and individual instruments play and make noise and I see it register on the sound meter in reaper but I can't get it to record, can't make my own
Please tell this isn't a mac problem and I should have got a PC

Can anyone shed some light on how this sounds with other musical genres? E.G. Reggae, Pop, RnB, etc. I love all of the GGD pack sounds but am really struggling to decide which one will give me the most versatility because I plan to use it outside metal aswell... All the reviews I find use metal demos though. Great Demo in here by the way. Thanks!
I haven't used the P4 Matt Halpern pack, but I have modern and Massive. I play in an indie band, but I also produce, pop and country. I use the Modern and Massive for ALL my demos and everyone I've worked with have loved the drum sounds. I also use them for re-sampling and it sounds amazing! It's def geared for metal genres, but the GGD Library is extremely versatile. Actually surprisingly so. Something this metal shouldn't sound as good on other genres but it does.
@@josephkyle6271 thanks for sharing your experience Joseph! I ended up buying the P4 Matt Halpern pack during the Black Friday sale and have been enjoying the experience a lot so far. I also used it for a variety of genres and also for triggering, and they do sound great outside metal indeed! Definitely recommended!

I may need to try GetGood Drums. Currently using Superior Drummer. As a guitar player, the challenge is good drum arrangements. would appreciate if you guys check my own channel and give some feedback on my mixes. I compose and produce rock and metal instrumentals for content creators.

The drums sound too plastic-y and dry. Too much click and no low end at all. Superior sounds better.
Simon Edwards I was thinking the same ... but I try it and in a mix the drums are very present and with a low guitar and bass tuning ( drop B or A# ) the drums don’t take the low of the bass and it’s easy to mix. No low everywhere

This isn't my favorite of the GGD stuff either. The Invasion kit was a lot bigger sounding imo.
@@SouthWest_Redneckin I'm still using EZDrummer2 and does the job fine but this sounds clicky and weak going through an 80s Akai HiFi and KEF speakers.
@@SimonBondar might just be Fluffs mix, check out Nolly's video, he's getting amazing sounds.
