Yes, it's completely worthless now. The killer needs to have DIRECT line of sight with you and be within 36 metres for such a mediocre effect. The problem is that I remember using it after the first nerf, and the perk would at least light up if the killer was within its range, but now it doesn't even do that...
gotta love how they nerfed the perk nobody was complaining about (because it was basically useless) but theyre gonna let ftp buckle up, mft (for 6 months) etc be in the game
MFT didn't really get attention until like a month before it was nerfed lol FTP doesn't need a need and buckle up may need a tweak but its not super op
@@andrebarfield7352 buckle up and ftp alone aren't a problem but together they waste so much of your time. Not only is the survivor u just down up, but they and the person who rescued them have an extra health state to take hits.
something interesting i found is when spine chill would fill up depending on the closeness of the killer it would actually detect undetectable killers and would disable if you were oblivious.
It’s nice to see someone else who really appreciates old dbd. It seems like not even the devs care about the old game, which makes some sense since I think Mathieu and a couple others are the only remaining devs from those days
why would they? The game is better today. Its called moving forward. They care. Its just that they dont only cater to YOU. Its a you problem. Its okay.
A few patches ago I actually used this perk. I hate stealth killers/going against them specifically ghost face. So the perk lighting up when a killer was in the 32 meter radius meant I atleast knew if they were nearby. The perk no longer does that now and a killer has to be looking directly at you in a 32m radius for any warning of any kind to show. Meaning it is only useful in an outdoor map and even then there are many other perks that are alot more viable and useful
Even worse than only useful in an outdoor map. Since it only works when the killer is looking at you with a direct line of sight, that means you should also have a direct line of sight on the killer looking directly at you and (most likely) coming right at you. And you’d have to be completely oblivious of your surroundings to be relying on a perk for that.
The thing is, i myself run spinechill unironicly, i used it back when i started playing around the time sadako was added, stopped plying when the knight released, and started playing again during the alien chapter, and i ran spinechill the whole time. It's the perfect perk to ensure i don't get caught off guard, and it's actually helped a couple of times. The bonus action speed doesn't really do much because when it goes off, you usually should get going anyway. So spinechill IS still useful. It just doubled down on the "anti suprise" function.
Did you even watch the video? What do you mean "doubled down on the anti suprise" it was legit better at that back in the day. It's worse in every single function the perk has.
Everything spine chill does you can do yourself by paying attention, with the exception of a tiny amount of extra repair/heal speed which is so small its negligible
Had an Oni Game on Badham where i watch my teammate use spinechill gate was powered and the oni was comming even small object like concrete barriere and tabble block the clear Vision (bug?) so spinechill activate at 12 Meter which was to late to open gate faster. Useless perk
I used to rely on it because I have bad awareness and hearing, so the nerf literally pushed me away from the game until recently. I hope bhvr brings it back.
I remember always hard-locking spine chill on launch with premonition to always know when a killer was on their way while working on gens. I remember getting back into the game this year and wondering why it felt so useless before seeing that BHVR tied it to line of sight. Sad to see it get reduced to this state
As a hearing impaired person Spine Chill was my go to perk. New heartbeat and other changes can't compare to what it did for us. Sad to see how narrow sighted and in fact bigoted BHVR is, all while they don the flag of social virtue.
@@iconbluesn5648 i had to run a perk before for that, now it's base kit... And she is talking about the oldest spine chill, which wasn't showing the percentage
@@patrikresz2706Yeah that’s in contention but I’d probably still take bigger great skill checks over a perk that became completely obsolete after the visual heartbeat was added.
As a Killer main, I think Spine Chill can have it's 6% vault speed back. The problem with the game is the amount of pallets and windows there are, along with the fact that the Survivors can do 3 gens in 1 minute and 30 seconds. Even if they don't add the vault speed back, they could buff it by making the bonus like 15% or something, to get a quick boost and encouraging Survivors to committing to an action when the Killer spots them.
Tbh i thought the vault speed build was pretty overrated like, 15% faster vaults alright, it might not be insignificant but it really isn't a game changer
@@NNN19000 Well, to be fair, I never experienced the 15% faster vault speed, as I only started playing around July this year. I just feel like I have more of a problem with the fact that gens get done left and right and there is nothing I can do except tunnel and camp just to get one kill.
I used to use this all the time because it was invaluable. Besides the Vault Speed Build, it was extremely handy if you knew how to read it correctly. Now it's just a joke.
I will never use it again unless they put it back to how it was… when the killer got nearer the red would fill… that’s how I liked it and it was a decent perk compared to the power of the killers
That was the old version of Saboteur. You used to be able to sabotage not only hooks, but also trapper's bear traps. That function however was later removed and so the icon had to be changed as well
When was Spine Chill + Resilience ever considered META? Like I hardly ever saw it because it didn't make as much of a difference as just running dead hard or something
It was a healthy perk idk they just try to switch meta but honestly sometimes that’s unnecessary cause then people seek out toxic builds to make up for it
not sad when it needed a nerf it was to OP and vaulting survivors already gen FREE vault speed with no skill required a killer needs 3 perks just to match survivor vault speed thats the balance of this trash game. 3 perks just to match survivor vault speed game is broken add chase hud info u know killer location at all times game is just dumb these days.
you should talk about how much more woke the game has become lmao, being forced to see gay and trans flags every match for the past years is getting old, the game had none of this woke shit for its first few years, it literally has no place in a game like dbd, if they gave us an option to turn off charms, and not see them on anyone/hooks i wouldnt really care.. but its being forced down my throat otherwise.. just pathetic pandering from behavior to push the political message of diversity, not to mention that new trans skin they are adding.
