King of the hill is so throughly drenched in the culture of the American South that I feel you couldn't watch it anywhere else without loosing alot in translation. Also I'm really curious what Boomhauer sounds like in other languages.

If you want some good anime shows to watch as an adult: Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Trigun, Black Lagoon, and Monster are absolutely amazing and star only-adult casts.

It’s really fascinating to me that this got a Japanese dub, especially in the 90s! American culture was definitely not well understood in Japan at the time. So it’s interesting to me, considering the humor of this show hinges so heavily on the average American life in the south.
