Hey Pierre, absolutely love your videos! I find that using the viewfinder when manual focusing helps to engage your eyes with the focusing adjustments.
I wait for these videos, watching patiently for a notification! This one is great, can feel the cold! Would love to see more night street photography, in winter it would be awesome!
@@Pierretlambert I thought you were crazy standing in the middle of the streets to get photos in summer and here you are standing in the streets when it is slippery from ice and wet. Crikey!
J'ai découvert cette chaine via la video avec Nico DT...et je suis fan de ces videos! Voir le process, le résultat en live et tes commentaires, c'est vraiment sympa!
Thank you Pierre! Love snowy conditions, along with photography it's an amazing combo ❄️📸🤣. Can't wait for more winter photography! I hope this is in preparation for a visit to Diamond Beach Iceland. God knows how you work your camera with those gloves? I would drop the camera lol 🤣
How do you capture smooth walking footage using the Gopro camera on the chest mount? Im getting shakey footage walking with Gopro camera on my chest. And your footage looks very smooth walking 🚶♂️
Manual focus will definitely slow you down and cause you to miss a lot of shots, however I find shooting manual is quiet enjoyable because somehow the picture coming out of manual lenses have quite different characteristics to auto focus lens, Sony and Sigma lens tend to produce a more clinical finish. The only modern manual lens I have used are voigtlander 58mm f1.4 , it is light and small and easy to carry. I am going to try 90mm f1.25 and 85 mm f1.2 (from Zhongyi).
I am a photographer from Russia. Lived in the US for a while. I decided to go back to Russia. In Moscow it is now -14c according to your American 6.8f. Since there is very strong propaganda in the USA, just in case, I will say that in summer we have + 35c 95f, and in winter -20c (-4f).
That's amazing. I knew Russia is cold in the winter (although I guess it depends where you are, considering its size) but never realised it can be so warm in the summer. All the best ☮️✌️
@@justamanwithanopinion There are cities in Russia where the climate is like in California. And so in Russia in the summer it is hot all over Russia. My friends from the USA came, they live in Chicago, it was very hot for them in the summer. The only thing is that they had a very bad first weeks of our food, as it does not contain gmo. In Russia, fortunately, we have much better quality products. So if you wish, then come in the summer. Our crime rate is ten times lower than in the United States. There are no such areas where it is dangerous. Lots of top notch restaurants. Moscow for 2021 is the cleanest city in Europe. Yes, if you see us not smiling, it does not mean that we are evil. We do not smile like Americans in the face, but in the back with a knife. If we smile, then we know the person and have a positive attitude towards him. Our feelings are sincere!
@@svarogovmsk We do, sadly, a horrible job of keeping the violent among us in prison for the safety of the rest of us here in the USA. Some states are worse than others, but the homicide rate is significantly lower than it was from the 1960s to the 1990s so some progress has been made. Hopefully some of these soft on crime district attorneys will, in fact, be removed from office. But talking about crime is depressing. I would say that most Americans are not backstabbers. Anyway.... Many people are surprised that Alaska gets warm in the summer, over 100F. But it takes a long time to do so with 20 hours of sunlight per day. Southeast Alaska doesn't get that much colder than where I am in California in winter because they have a warm current from Japan that flows by, but parts of that state are absolutely frigid.
@@Anon54387 Unfortunately your country was created by criminals. From the very beginning, the Spaniards and the British destroyed the indigenous people - the Indians. You probably don't know, but the Russians created San Francisco and when the Indians were attacked by the Spaniards or the British, the Russians hosted them in their fort and saved them. They gave food. There are even historical photos of a Russian soldier giving food to the Indians. Also, thanks to Russia, the United States gained independence from England.
Nice video! I want to ask. What is better to take for reportage videos (weddings and various events): Sony a6400, a7 Mark 2 or Canon 90D? Budget up to $1700. Thanks in advance for the answer!
Hello Pierre I love ur vids and I was hoping for some advice on photography I love the pictures u take and I want to do something like that but I don’t know where to start and if it’s a good career choice to take hope u see this.
So am I just missing where you mention what brand and model of lens you are using? The link for "lens I use for this" is for a sony 70 200 and not this mysterious 90mm.
It's actually the opposite. Holding it with hands gives strenght in the hands while you start believe too much on the strap and eventually slam it to that very same rail, wall or whatever... So far I've personally had more stressful situations with a strap rather than just holding the camera, haha
I think it is Pierre is using the TTartisan F1.25 90mm lense. These lenses were originally only come in Leica M mount but now available in Sony E-mount . There were on discount a few days ago about $430. I got one on the way. But I have shot with 85mm F1.2 Mitakon, it is a heavy lens to carry but not that much dis-similar to 90mm TTartisan.
Damn I’ve been in school and work the past two month. Haven’t use my camera in months and my confidence in my skills is down (and someone wants to hire me this Saturday)
