It is pronounced 'Edinburgh' not Edinboro and has been for over 400 years. Nothing to do with spelling. I lived there for many years and my kid was born there.. No one EVER says Edinboro unless they are visiting Americans.
Check out the Museum of Childhood on the Royal Mile.. this is often overlooked.. 3 floors of toys and educational equipment dating from the 16th century to the present, and look at the New town, beautiful architecture dating from the late 18th Century. Hope you make it with all the pandemic etc.
