Taehyung said he wants this album as an introduction to him so he utulized his voice the most and made it sound simple and for relaxing, he uses his voice as an instrument so let the world know his voice , he DOES have self written and composed songs but he's keeping them for kth2 I think
This is a concept album with experimental music. To those who don't know, a concept album consists of a central theme with a cohesive style. Additionally, experimental music introduces elements of unpredictability either to composition or performance.
However, not everyone will be able to appreciate this level of artistry.
Tae really outdid himself with Layover. If there is a word that could express “beautiful” in the most beautiful sense… that is it. It’s very quintessentially him.
And I completely agree with you 100% about the EP’s length. At first I thought I needed more when he revealed the track list a month back. But when I listened to the entire thing, it was just so well put-together… so tightly sewn together, it’s also strewn me whole. 💙 🔟/🔟
Out of all members, this waa my fav project tbh. I love chill vibey songs and this whole album delivered JUST THAT

Whether you like BTS or not, I defy anyone who loves lo-fi R&B or neo-seoul not to LOVE this album. Like you say it is all about the feeling, the language of love and heartbreak is universal.
Tae has gone with artistic integrity rather than 'commercial' appeal but it looks like he is on track for both! My fav is still Rainy Days but Blue through headphones, Tae is whispering in my ears.💜
R&B, neo- soul, alt are literally my favourite genres. While I do like this album for what it is and I do think it is a good debut. But for us and Slow dancing(flute) are the only songs that kinda stood out to me, the rest of the songs are honestly subpar. And it doesn't have anything to do with the genre of the songs, they're just not that good or even memorable sonically or lyrically. Just my opinion:)

I thank V for this album because all the songs are beautiful. Some may find the lyrics short and non-interesting but still only listeners with taste can enjoy the songs. All songs have unique tone and melody and the elements in these songs can't be found in modern pop songs. I wanted to give my ears a little break from auto-tunes and mainstreams. I'm an ARMY and supported all their solo albums. Now it's time to listen to unique music which only V could create in k-pop industry and probably the only idol who would give us this kind in future. I won't stick to usual k-pop for the sake of charts. My ears are are already bleeding. After all, this is what solo era is all about.

it starts waking up on a Rainy Day, all full of memories, he tries to distract himself
it don't work, so... Blue
then he whimpers inside the cave of his 💜 unconformed with non-reciprocal love, very lonely
then he creates a sunny and multicolored world as a scape from his reality and there are several friends wearing crowns because everyone is himself in his illusion of adventures and fun
