it ran 13MPH in first gear, and 29MPH in second gear. Running the Power Hobby 3s 3'000 MAH 50C LiPo!
Running the Gens Ace 3s 5'000 MAH 50C, it ran 13MPH in 1st gear, and 31MPH in 2nd gear.
To me this is unquestionably the ultimate backyard bashing 2-in-1 system!!! ultimate in control, very impressive speed!!! and ultimately programmable!!! Seriously, does it get any better than this?!?! 😍
Scale Trail running numbers with an excellent slow you down break, + a killer drag break. Without any fear of front flipping, or sacrificing your drive train parts!!! 🤔

Okay, so I have figured out my favorite settings with this Fusion 2-in-1 2300kv. I run these numbers now because I can be running 100% throttle, to 0% throttle. And now the truck slows down within around three feet, and it still has 100% drag break!!! So I can scale trail run it, and rock crawl it all on the new settings. I do have to use throttle for descending hills now, and if I should happen to Squirrel and let off the trigger. I don't have to worry about it rolling away.

UPDATE: 31MPH in second gear, and 13MPH in first gear! Running the Gens Ace 3s 5'000 MAH 50C.
Note: I only got the 31MPH on the first test! Every test after was 30MPH!!!
What would this do with stock gearing us think?

Now that it handles 60A continues and a 200 Amp burst, it's so angry 😠 Then the punch setting from level one to nine, Holy Hannah, it's a total wheelie machine!!!

@@martindalton2101 you can run a 22-39 safely with the 2300kv pro, low gear is 13mph so its still awesome for trail running. Then second gear running 30mph is totally awesome for backyard bashing everything in it's path.
@@martindalton2101 if I remember right, stock is 11-45 but I don't remember the stock speed with the 2300kv on 3s.

I run this setup and am having a overheating issue in low gear. I do have the interior kit that may be the issue

Is it hot? I have 2300kv with stock gear. If i want to change to 16-45 did you think is it safe or to hot? Thanks
This is 22-39 and it gets hot running through the grass in second gear, but I only run it a little bit in the grass. For running around the scale trail lines, it runs a little warmer. But never shuts down due to thermal protection. First gear for the rough terrain and second gear for running on hard terrain, and everything is okay.

Yes, at the stock 17-45 you will be fine.

Not that I am aware of ! Because of this I put the XL5HV back in my Bronco and swapped the 2300kv 2-in-1 into my Blazer.
If you are willing to let the jst plug go, you could solder an inline plug from the esc to the battery. Then you could swap the system and Winch into different rigs.

What pinion gear are you running on this? Does it overheat at all? I have this motor on my trx4 and was wondering if a 12t pinion & 45 spur gear would be too much for the motor causing it to overheat? Your TRX-4 is very impressive. Subscribed and liked!
This motor is spinning a 22T Pinion and a 39T Spur Gear, and no it doesn't overheat. It does get pretty hot running in second gear in grass, running a 3S 5'000 MAH 50C. I wanted to test this as a scale trail running rig, so tomorrow I will take it out and run it on a few different terrains! I will also bring my temperature gun. But this system isn't very traditional!! Because the thermal protection is set at 221°f and you can adjust it up to 257°f with the program box. So I will see how safe it is going to be geared way up as high as possible!!! Thank you for stopping by!!! 😎

@@albertkelly7129 this is the maximum so far! But I have seriously been thinking about the Velineon vxl system running the maximum gearing at 22-39. I am pretty sure we can crack the 50MPH mark! 😈

Yes in first gear it does! And it still runs so slow, its hard to see it moving. Very impressive system, even geared to the moon!!

Can you do that same thing with the Traxxas vxl3s and a 3s lipo?
I do have a rustler 4×4 that I could swap out for the Velineon vxl system, so it would be possible 🤔
Might be closer to 50mph running the Velineon system 🤔
@@BUILTLIGHTWOUNDTIGHT ooh ok yeah because I have that system that I was planning to put into a mud truck for this winter but I don’t know how fast it would be I don’t have a battery yet but I do have a 8 cell 5000 mah nmhd battery that i was told the voltage performance is on par to a smaller lipo, not sure if you’ve seen my videos but I have some videos about the system I will post another one now to show what it is cause I don’t remember if I took one with the battery or not
@@tonydetwiler2624 you can use velcro to strap in your 8 cell 5000, and I would test it out running the stock 11T pinion, because you can always gear up or down according to your motor/battery temperatures.

It does get fairly hot 🔥 running in second gear in the grass, but it hasn't gone down on the thermal cutoff yet. And I still have it set at the stock 221° f. But I don't run it exclusively in second gear when I am mobbing in the grass. I am running the Integy Aluminum heat-sink also, just to help with any extra heat.
