Crowbar is a reference to killing one of the robins. Alot of the Fandom is theorizing Victor becoming Zsasz- I personally disagree; more likely he become Emperor Penguin. Penguin wouldn't accidentally stumble onto the batcave as its in a different borough you can see it in the beginning of the episode( under or near Wayne industry, also in background you can see gcpd and the tower with the bat-light) the theory with Sophia imaging Theo was a good one- some theorize that since he's obsessed with power over ones psyche that he might end up being Scarecrow.
A lot of people people miss this, but in the pilot, when Oz meets Victor for the first time, and after shooting at his friends, he accidentally shoots the trunk of his Maserati, he looks down at the bullet hole and says to Vic "look what you made me do". Vic said the same thing after killing Squid.
People will justify anything in their head if they think its for their own "right reasons". Vic didnt have to kill Squid, but for the life he is in,he justified murder because it wouldve hurt the gang or atleast have been an annoying headache. Just like later on when Vic tells Oz what happened..Oz says .." it gets easier". Oz has killed so many people at this point,he justifies it everytime because in his head its for a right reason. Showing how far gone these people are. Vic is going down that road and theres no turning back. He couldve mentioned the Squid situation to Oz again in the apartment scene, when Oz asked him what he was talking about. Oz asked.. "so do we got a problem"..and Vic just says "No." He already mmade the decision he was going to kill him. Im assuming he saw how distracted Oz was with his moms situation..and didnt want to burden him. But that was his opportunity to give the decision making to Oz. Maybe Oz couldve actually used Squid. But man...Such a great show!!
I worked hospice for awhile. It was policy to allow the patient to believe what kept them less agitated. If they asked for a deceased family member, we would tell them they stepped out to do errands. I liked how they lingered on the blood and neck injury when Vic shot the guy. It helped emphasize the severity of the act having Vic doing his first murder. Like he crossed a line for himself and the show lingered on the ugliness so that it wasnt just another gangland shooting. It was personally traumatic for vic

@@cjmk5923 yeah I could see this being the last time she's on screen, obviously she wasn't a major major character but she did have a little arc going there and this seems to have completed it. It also sort of reinforces kind of the folly of how Oswald operates because you have somebody who's like ride or die loyal dude seems like everybody in her life but especially her girls above all else and through the just sheer mountain of lies and manipulations you created this space for this person to betray you. Like you know how this woman operates either you should have not messed with her or come clean with her but he thinks he can worm his way out of anything.
I think it really hurts Oz for his mom to think he's his dad, especially because she thinks it due to the circumstances they are living in. It's too much for him to deal with. Plus I think he believes he can fix the situation and that's the solution.
Vic is a full-blown thug out here now. If Sofia kills Vic, Oz will go to war. If his mother is killed, all of Gotham will burn. Great use of the crowbar to break into both apartments. This is a great show. I could go for a can of Gotham Gold right now.
I noticed that Sofia pocketed the cigar cutter from Oz's desk. I bet she plans to get rid of Salvatore and use the cutter to cut his finger of and get her brother's ring back from him. I also believe that just as this show is a continuance from The Batman that the next Batman movie will continue from the events in this show. For this reason I believe that both Sofia and Oz will survive this show and interact with Batman. They are too good not to. There has to be deaths and unfortunately Mrs Cobb and Vic are the obvious candidates for that. Loving your reviews. Keep 'em coming.
The Penguin is an undercover Toastmaster. That was probably his DTM speech. I felt inspired to do something, but I don’t know what… lol Great video you guys!
"If you can't do it, I'll go to Rex..." After she said that, Vic jumped in real quick to stop her from continuing. I think Vic might actually know more about her relationship with Rex than Oz (or maybe even his pops) knew. If both his brothers were younger than him, they may not have actually been "full" brothers, if you get what I'm saying.
My fantasy next episode 7 is Oz's backstory told by his mother. I see the doctor using hypnosis to bring it out. I also see Oz keeping his promise to his mother ,and just before he does ,she's going to say "no I feel better now ".
14:30 is why Oz wouldn't let Victor continue the fantasy that his brothers were still alive. He knows his mother's pride about being sane and herself means a lot to her.
I feel like this show is tailor made for you guys. Like, I love ypur reactions to everything but it feels like this type of shows is right up your ally. Anything that's like Rated R type of content seems like a great fit for you guys to react to.
I'm so glad that Oz isn't getting overshadowed by the other villains. In too many superhero TV shows, the "protagonist" is always second fiddle to the side character. Here Oz is a badass, ruthless and smart as hell. This is such a good show.
Sofia has more in common with Vic and Frances than Oz. She let Eve go because she knew Oz was manipulating her. Frances is mentally ill and Vic didn't really do anything to her aside from save her while trying to save Oz with the car. It may come down to whether or not Vic rats out Oz, and if he does, he'll probably have a good reason for it.
Victor helped Oz with moving and desecrating her brother’s corpse, not to mention aiding Oz in shifting the blame for it. But we’ll see how merciful Sofia’s feeling soon enough.
seeing a crowbar in the bat verse is never a good thing. 😕 if they wanted to update what batman was doing or where he's at, they would. rather, my mind is going to what else is happening while oz is dealing w/this drug war as they're not the only ones who exist in the city, and it's a big city.
how did you not hear the noise of the crowbar /door at the end... even i was like wtf ..... lol but holy moly.... it's still amazing and .... awesome series and woo !
This is one of the best series I’ve ever seen. Up there with 24 , GOT , Walking Dead , Banshee and Spartacus (but not quite La Femme Nikita my own favorite 😍). Colin Farrell is fantastic, wasn’t really a fan of his but I am now. I really hope there are more series
@NikkiStevenReact Sofia had the crowbar that Sal had when they broke into his apartment. That's what she used to break into their place in Crown Point.
Eve with no make-up wig - looks like Oz's mom - that's good casting if intentional - I predict - Vic beaten to near death but alive enough to let Oz know Sofia took his Mom. Vic prob die in Oz's arms. Just a thought. Hoping they do something 100x better - this show is FIRE!!
All I've got are facts. The show is called The Penguin. Colin Ferrell is a major motion picture star. He is also an executive producer. This is a one time limited series. There is a Batman 2 coming. Colin Ferrell said everyone is going to hate The Penguin when this series ends. Sounds a lot like Penguin is the villian for the next Batman, and very unlikely anybody they made us care about at all gets out of this series alive or at a minimum locked away in Arkham.
I really think oz is gonna allow his mom to be unalived because shes already got dementia and old and thatll be the turning point where he goes full villian
Of course, Sophia won't kill Penguin's mother. She had her revenge on her family. She will kidnap the mother, then take her to a meeting point and the penguin will then be allowed to watch as Sophia's new partner kills her by burning her alive. In this way, he avenges his family, which the penguin has burned. By the way, we could actually get a Batman villain from the comics here with Victor and we get an origin story of Victor Szazs here. Szazs is a psychopath who gives himself a scar after every murder. His favorite tools are knives. I already mentioned the Scarecrow possibility with the therapist last episode. The Batman is also an origin story somewhere, so why not fabricate even more enemy origins? All opponents that Batman will have to deal with later. It is possible that Victor becomes Victor Szazs, even if so far there is not much to be said for it except the first name. But it may well be that dealing with the penguin at a young age makes him become this psycho.
@@seanstinchfield-mp2xm Yes, he can rename himself. Or this name he has right now is wrong. In any case, he delights in Sophia's fears and tries to control her and be close to her. I don't think he's treating her, I think he's nurturing her fears.

Whatever "good", "merciful", "ok" guy within himself no matter how miniscule is gonna completely die off with francis if she is killed. Right now vic n his mom grounds him to whatever kindness still resides in oz's heart, after his mom m vic are gone he has nothing left to lose in terms of any emotional connection he has..the only thing that will remain is his "step over/on top of anyone u need to" ambition to climb to the top. Without having anyone he needs to care for or look after, he will be free to act however the fuck he wants...the 1st domino of betrayal will be star selling them out, and if her snitching gets his mother or vic killed!?! Hes gonna lose his fucking mind. Those 3 are his "anchors" right now, star, victor, francis and the show is setting them ALL up to die.. Which is how i believe oz will go from "sympathetic oz" to "merciless penguin with nothing and nobody left to lose".. without his "anchors" oz is simply "crazy adrift"..
Of course, I could be wrong, but I believe that because of her being betrayed by Oz, and sent to Arkham, Sofia, with the help of Dr. Rush, is going to have Vic suffer the same fate.
Should've been smarter for Victor to make Squid's death looked like committed by Maronis, then let his body displayed for the entire Crown Point to see.
No that is not the group! The Dark Knight group was the left over of the Falcon's group, so from like the start of the show. These episodes truly get better and better! For me this is the first time that I said that this is the best episode yet. What an awesome start it had lol. I miss the days when TV series had 24 episodes, but people hated all the filler episodes ugh He might kill his mother to put her out of her misery or leave her for them to kill to stay safe and tell himself that is what his mother would've wanted
Vic shooting Squid and then struggling with it reminded me so much of Jesse Pinkman shooting Gale. It was the end of sweet silly Jesse and I think this is the end of innocent Vic.
I'm stressed because every single character in this series that's not Oz is 100% expendable and can be killed off any time. Would prefer Sofia and Vic survive, but neither are guaranteed. The moms death I fear is required for the Penguin origin story to complete. I'd almost expect Oz to kill Vic himself for not protecting his mom.
Said it before and I'll say it again: Vic is gonna be this bat universe 's Red Hood, right? I mean, look at his bike helmet and that brown jacket, and the crowbar appears again? And now he uses a gun. Too much of a coincidence, just saying.
At least up to this point it seems like they're just paralleling the characters. But with that said I would very much like it for Vic to make it out alive and ideally out of Gotham.

Gilda is such a good vintage movie. Highly recommend it
I think it really hurts Oz for his mom to think he's his dad, especially because she thinks it due to the circumstances they are living in.
Gotta disagree about his ma. She asked him to end her life. Oz loves her too much to do it himself so he'll let Sophia do it for him
I noticed that Sofia pocketed the cigar cutter from Oz's desk.
Mork AND Mindy Nano Nano
"If you can't do it, I'll go to Rex..." After she said that, Vic jumped in real quick to stop her from continuing. I think Vic might actually know more about her relationship with Rex than Oz (or maybe even his pops) knew.
If both his brothers were younger than him, they may not have actually been "full" brothers, if you get what I'm saying.
My fantasy next episode 7 is Oz's backstory told by his mother. I see the doctor using hypnosis to bring it out. I also see Oz keeping his promise to his mother ,and just before he does ,she's going to say "no I feel better now ".
The Sullivan Family, Odessa Mob, Bunley Town Massive, the Lo Boys, I love how they name drop gangs from the comics.
Ha! It's clear that you don't know tools when you confuse a crowbar for a wrench.
Nikki your air looks great and I really enjoyed your reactions
Hair*
i can see both of them dying next episode honestly
14:30 is why Oz wouldn't let Victor continue the fantasy that his brothers were still alive. He knows his mother's pride about being sane and herself means a lot to her.
I feel like this show is tailor made for you guys. Like, I love ypur reactions to everything but it feels like this type of shows is right up your ally. Anything that's like Rated R type of content seems like a great fit for you guys to react to.
it's a crowbar, it's a nod to the how joker killed robin in the comic with the crowbar
Well technically the building exploding took out jason todd, not the actual crowbar
Collin Farrel embodies his character so much it's crazy! I'm captivated!
I'm so glad that Oz isn't getting overshadowed by the other villains. In too many superhero TV shows, the "protagonist" is always second fiddle to the side character. Here Oz is a badass, ruthless and smart as hell. This is such a good show.
Oh God, watching this episode and their discussion about Victor after the finale.
if they wanted to update what batman was doing or where he's at, they would.
rather, my mind is going to what else is happening while oz is dealing w/this drug war as they're not the only ones who exist in the city, and it's a big city.
I'm worried she kills Vic and steals his mom.
how did you not hear the noise of the crowbar /door at the end... even i was like wtf ..... lol but holy moly.... it's still amazing and .... awesome series and woo !
Hell yeah!
Steven don’t worry Penguin WILL be in The Batman 2. It was confirmed long ago
Its been said these h's aint loyal. Hope penguin gets his revenge on her
I just realized Sophia is same actress that was in Fargo season 2.
I think you both would like Special Operations: Lioness. It just started its second season.
Other have interacted with him. Ventress did. And when he arrived in her room, he was brought in by one of her men n
when you see a crowbar in a batman story... gotham changes
Oh she’s gonna burn, no doubt. I get the victor thing, but Scarecrow is Dr. Crane.
@@seanstinchfield-mp2xm Yes, he can rename himself. Or this name he has right now is wrong.
In any case, he delights in Sophia's fears and tries to control her and be close to her. I don't think he's treating her, I think he's nurturing her fears.
Nanu! Nanu! 😁
I admit it! They made me doubt! But I don't let go of my point! The hanged killer (presumed) face to face with the real hanged killer!!!
OMG!! I just figured it out...Vic(tor) becomes Mr. Freeze!!!😮😮😮😮
Of course, I could be wrong, but I believe that because of her being betrayed by Oz, and sent to Arkham, Sofia, with the help of Dr. Rush, is going to have Vic suffer the same fate.
Rex is Oz’s dad. I’m standing on that hot take.
I came home from school to Mork and Mindy ... Nanu Nanu
Should've been smarter for Victor to make Squid's death looked like committed by Maronis, then let his body displayed for the entire Crown Point to see.
Phenomenal show
No that is not the group! The Dark Knight group was the left over of the Falcon's group, so from like the start of the show.
These episodes truly get better and better! For me this is the first time that I said that this is the best episode yet. What an awesome start it had lol. I miss the days when TV series had 24 episodes, but people hated all the filler episodes ugh
He might kill his mother to put her out of her misery or leave her for them to kill to stay safe and tell himself that is what his mother would've wanted
Nanu Nanu !!! - Old School Robin Williams !!!
The doctor is Arkham interacted with him.
Vic shooting Squid and then struggling with it reminded me so much of Jesse Pinkman shooting Gale. It was the end of sweet silly Jesse and I think this is the end of innocent Vic.
P.S. Nikki, your hair……..👍🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
What if we get a joker situation where Sofia and sal make the penguin choose who to save: Vic or his mom 👀
Vics gonna make to the next batman cos surely he's this universes version of Victor Zsasz isn't he?
I'm stressed because every single character in this series that's not Oz is 100% expendable and can be killed off any time. Would prefer Sofia and Vic survive, but neither are guaranteed. The moms death I fear is required for the Penguin origin story to complete. I'd almost expect Oz to kill Vic himself for not protecting his mom.
Said it before and I'll say it again: Vic is gonna be this bat universe 's Red Hood, right? I mean, look at his bike helmet and that brown jacket, and the crowbar appears again? And now he uses a gun. Too much of a coincidence, just saying.
In the comics, the Joker killed Jason by using his mom as leverage. Victor doesn’t have a mom. Nor a family.
No just... No
@Loco2xs I totally see Sal beating the crap out of Vic with that crowbar in order to take Oz' mom, because I don't see Vic just letting them to.
It doesn’t feel like they’re going down that route, but it would be refreshing if instead of Dick, they do Jason as Robin.
At least up to this point it seems like they're just paralleling the characters. But with that said I would very much like it for Vic to make it out alive and ideally out of Gotham.
Mork and Mindy reference 🙋🏻♀️
I think shell most likely take vic because he knows more than the mother but shell use the mother as bait !
Gawd I hate Julian Rush, that creep.
I'm jealous of Julian
